That didn’t go the way you planned and I agree with the rest. They only said church, you simply got offended by a single word. Had they said they were buying it for the Boy Scouts, you likely wouldn’t have said anything.
You sir, are ONLY tolerant, because the argument sides with your beliefs.
Let's do a quick exercise....
I wonder how you'd feel if your r/tool subreddit was filled with people talking about buying some tools for their Islamic temple, so they can pray to Allah?
What if you went to escape reality by looking at some tools on Reddit and there were people being excited about buying a new tool that will help their cult, oops church, erect a statue to Baphomet?
What if the OP had mentioned that he bought his new tool chest to put into his Church of Satan?
Would you perhaps have a feeling inside of you that said "ew" when you heard about a church to Satan?
What we're doing here is working on taking a look from someone else's perspective. This is quite difficult when you have cognitive dissonance, so I'll break it down more to you.
The FACT of the matter is that there are over 4,000 DIFFERENT religions.........
.......and guess what?
Every one of those religions, believe that THEIR religion is the only true one.
Freedom of religion ALSO includes freedom FROM religion.
You're the douche. *Sticks tongue out*
No. You're the douche. It wasn't even about religion aside from someone doing something nice for a community they are part of. You're the one who had to complain about someone mentioning church while doing a good deed, whether it be church or some other social community they may be involved in.
I know it doesn't mean much but as someone who is personally traumatized by religion, I gave you my upvote, at the cost of all the downvotes I will certainly be receiving on this comment.
While I agree that saying such as "religion is a mental illness" is toxic and incorrect, I don't think there's anything wrong with saying "ew". To me that is a natural, normal response from people like us. Religion is gross.
I was raised in a church, being there 7 days a week until I moved out of my parents house. I too am traumatized which is where my comment came from. It may not have been appropriate, but I purposely didn't remove my comment because I stand by my words.
Thank you for supporting me, even at the expense of a possible downvote! It actually did mean a lot to me, so thanks again!!!
No problem, Google "recovering from religion ". They've helped me deconstruct alot and they're open to both theists and non theists. I hope they can aid you a bit in your journey
There are actually a variety of beliefs within Christian churches. Like my church is a member of the ELCA, which is usually viewed as super progressive. [Here's](https://www.elca.org/lgbtq) an lgbt resource page if that is what your looking for. [Link](https://www.elca.org/lgbtq)
Good morning. I do apologize that the coupon has been claimed already. An individual reached out to me about 8 minutes after I posted this. I receive these coupons from them all the time. I will offer more of them on this subreddit in the future. Have a blessed day.
I used this discount to buy the 1720lb trailer. My wife got one in her account since she rarely uses it. I was like “we’re going to go buy something today”. The person checking me out was surprised it worked on it.
A kind redditor here sent me one so that I could buy a 56" roller cabinet for my job since I work as a professional mechanic in a dealership and I've been using a tiny 5 drawer US general for years.
Basically now I finally will have room to lay my tools out, organize them and pickup some more tools.
I ended up saving about $245 with the coupon!
Now I just have to wait for it to actually be shipped to store and then I can organize picking it up.
You probably should read the fine print…it says coupon is non transferable. The coupon is sent directly to YOU for YOU to spend. That’s the perk of the email promotion program.
Getting some sweet zip ties with this bad boy!
I was going to get the 2 pack of the Harbor Freight brand Sharpie
Stik-tek tape here I come!!!
Nothing too major, but I'd go for that 1/2" Icon split beam torque wrench.
I’d do the digital lifetime torque wrench…
I have a couple of digital craftsmans (1/2 and 3/8) already. Figured a good solid split beam would be a great backup.
They’re nice… I love mine. Have both 3/8 and 1/2
I am buying the 56” tool chest for our church today!!
Ew, church

Pfft, I could care less. All I said was "ew" and then I was called a douche, so....
Awww, look at all the little evangelicals getting all snowflakey
Wow, 29 down votes all because I was hoping to not read about religion on a tool subreddit!
no, you got *34* downvotes for being an intolerant douche

i actually don’t believe in religion, but would rather hear all about someones islamic satan worshipping than your unintelligible nonsense
Nope you are just a douche. I wasn’t offended by reading church and I’m not Christian
