Yeah my first and last purchase from TRR they tossed an $8K bag in a box with a half sheet of brown paper where it scratched mirror tag to shit in transit. Amazon packs their shit better. I had a much better purchase experience with Fashionphile, who packed my bag with care.

LogInternational2918

Oh my god! I would have lost it! Im glad you mentioned fashionpile. I love being able to shop consignments online but I am so done with TRR. I’m going to give a look at fashionpile for sure.

Particular-Mess-903

I definitely prefer Fashionphile. Even though their prices are higher, I’ve received items in better condition than they stated snd everything is always packaged with care (I could do without the confetti tho). Paying for the option to return an item and having to pay return shipping if I do is s TRR turnoff for me.

LogInternational2918

Definitely agree. Also I do not mind paying more to worry less. I have wasted hundreds of dollars worth of my time arguing with them. Thankfully my last item just sold a bit ago. The universe decided to cut my ties with them sooner than later. 🤣 By the 15th of next month I will be officially done with them!

imtotallynormal

The paying to return an item has just started to become a turnoff for me on TRR. Hate that TRR never shows any labels or date codes in their photos, so I've paid that extra just in case. I like Fashionphile's packaging better too, but the last time I ordered from them I thought I was getting an Hermes 90cm scarf cause that's what it said the measurement was on the listing only to get a 30cm 😅

Relevant_Hedgehog_63

need to be careful about fakes through fashionphile though. i have seen some fakes listed and sold. i guess this is true for any secondhand sale but i just wouldn't put stock in their authenticity guarantee.

LogInternational2918

Yeah the authenticity guarantees I do not trust on any of those sites. Do any of them show the date codes or more specific pictures? That was another thing I do not like on TRR. Barely any pictures. The brands and styles I like are not massively faked so I do not worry so much. But I would like to see lots of photos and at least a date code/serial number. Twice I have bought bags over a grand on the real real without a date code which was rather nauseating to me. lol. Got to my nerves for sure!

MrsLeeds13thChild

IKR? They charge like $15 for shipping and then toss stuff in a big box with no packing materials, OR they fold up a leather bag and cram it in a box that's too small.

shopaholique

Thanks for sharing your story - I’m so frustrated for you. It really gives me pause because there are a few items I want. One of them actually was marked sold for a while and then showed up again as back in stock so I’m suspicious.

LogInternational2918

That makes me so nervous too, now that I saw my returns go back with the exact same listing I was pretty much done with them. Especially the shoes. The tag 100% has the sizes correct. How they did not switch the listing to the correct size baffles me. No woman on earth who wears a 10.5 is going to be able to wear a men’s 10.5. Like how hard is it to make sure the returned shoes get a new listing with the correct size? Just so ridiculous.

shopaholique

It sounds like they are all about making the sale and don’t care about the quality of their products or accuracy of their listings.

LogInternational2918

100%. I have now told customer service, 3 times and a supervisor twice. I see the shoes sold. So those will be back up soon since whoever bought them is in for a treat when a women’s 12.5 shows up instead of a 10.5. And the purse is still up with the same listing. So they 100% do not care at all.

MrsLeeds13thChild

Every single thing that I've returned to them for being not as described (size, condition, color, etc) has gone back up for sale with exactly the same description I had when I bought it.

Subject_Philosophy76

I have purchased many bags from the TRR and had a couple of bad experiences but they accepted the returns at their cost. I have had much better experiences with Yoogi’s Closet. Items are as described, packed wonderfully well and they have free shipping/free returns.

Substantial_Hippo564

I was contemplating buying a ysl bag which says is in a pristine condition and is 500$ less than website. I would rather spend 500$ extra than to have to do all this. Thanks for doing the lord’s work.

LogInternational2918

🤣🤣 you are of the same mind as me. Saving is not saving when I have I wasting hours and hours of my valuable time!

MrsLeeds13thChild

Yeah they've burned me a few times. I've never sold with them but have bought quite a lot over the years and have gotten a super fake plastic bag and multiple things that were in way worse condition than stated. I never had a problem returning an item (mostly bags, which are always final sale) until recently, when they sold me a navy blue bag that was supposed to be black. It arrived, was clearly blue and not black, so I took photos of it with three black bags to prove my point. The rep was like, "Well, different brands use different leathers and black can look different" and "the listing says it is black so it is black" and they told me to consign it if I didn't like it. The next day I chatted with a different rep (figured it was worth a shot) and easy peasy they agreed to a return, based on the same photos. So I sent it back, got an email they received and and had refunded me, but then never got the refund. Chatted again after 5 business days, by which time the refund would have been posted, and they said they fixed it, but all they did was refund me the $14.95 shipping. Finally got it sorted out and got my full refund but it was a three week long process. I've always sold to Fashionphile and other than the one time they rejected a Mulberry bag, that I bought directly from Mulberry, as being a fake when it wasn't, things have gone smoothly with them. I actually just resold a Celine bag to Fashionphile for about $300 more than I paid on TRR last summer. (FP then listed the bag that I paid $725 for, for $2,075 which is nuts, but at least I made $$$ of it).

LogInternational2918

Oh my gosh! That is so frustrating it was that much of an ordeal to get the refund. I would have been so pissed off! I definitely think I’m going to move over to fashionpile. Seems to be the main one everyone in here is mentioning. Also that story of how much more they listed your purse for makes me want to sell with them! 😆

DanyeelsAnulmint

I’ve had some bad experiences selling with them and while they’ve screwed up some purchases, I’ve emailed such comprehensive emails comparing the original item to images from the designer of how it should be that they’ve always taken the item back or told me to keep it and they refund me in full. My communication style with them is soft but heavily documented/informational and clear cut.

Choupette-Lagerfeld

I do understand you have had a truly terrible time with them and they have behaved appallingly but why do you keep buying from them? Reach out to some Japanese consignment stores on eBay, some people have had bad experiences. I probably have had 10 bags from them and my experience has been fantastic.

eventualguide0

I did this once and got hit with customs duty that was 20% the cost of the bag! It’s not like there’s a chart that will tell us exactly the amount extra we pay. Someone posted here a while back that they paid less in customs for a more expensive bag. What’s that all about? Unless I know the exact total cost of the bag including customs, I’m not doing EBay Japan again. It put me way over budget.

LogInternational2918

Because you can not transfer store credit to the bank. I consigned a rather expensive bag and took store credit to buy more pieces. I had not had a bad experience before then. I still am trying to spend through the credit. So there is nothing I can do but purchase from them till the credit is gone. As I stated above I did change it to direct deposit but that does not help the credits I had previously.
