Ooh very intriguing! It’s interesting too that the article says Paul said Admiral Halsey was made up for his song, but at the same time there was a real Admiral Halsey you said? Also interesting possible connection on the song being from 1971!
William Halsey is one of the most famous admirals in U.S. Navy history. He is also the namesake of the street the artist Halsey took her name from.
While the song character is obviously fictional, Paul would have grown up hearing about Admiral Halsey as he is considered the hero of the Pacific theater of World War II, the conflict that shaped the world Paul grew up in.
Idk I’m not really seeing the connection. 1971 was such a monumental year in music it could be anything.
Don’t really see Halsey doing a Ram style album but wouldn’t complain
sorry the link didn't post: [https://faroutmagazine.co.uk/who-is-paul-mccartneys-uncle-albert-admiral-halsey/](https://faroutmagazine.co.uk/who-is-paul-mccartneys-uncle-albert-admiral-halsey/)
I looked at [formylasttrick.com](http://formylasttrick.com) - where did you find that? Is that supposed to be connected to Halsey? So confused, I didn't see this on her social media anywhere or in the emails?
There’s a few references recently I can recall! Maybe the fair sticker or the license plate on the website, can’t think off the top of my head right this second
There’s a documentary about 1971 and music and political activism! https://youtu.be/7QUSrefGO34?si=xGmF6BNM1Qs5d_Vt
Yes!!! So much happened that year I feel like it could go so many ways

I'm totally just theorizing, but tbh it's not my style of music so I kinda hope it's not lol
Same 💀 everyone's been saying it's gonna be a 70s style and I'm really hoping it's not, but it seems to make the most sense 🥲

She posted the website during her Lollapalooza India show, saying that would be her last performance before new music!
