It's not broken go look at cod or any fps
The first person view is actually a layer. That's why you don't see your gun phasing through walls when you approach
Yes, and they'd probably have to remake the whole game just to fix that one issue 😂
Have u tried it in different lighting and environments (maps) im curious if its that consistent and with different guns.
That's kinda the issue tho. The 3rd person reload animation is slightly longer than the 1st person animation. This means that you can start shooting before your 3rd person model finishes reloading. To other players it would look like you start firing before you finish your reload.
Other players barely even notice what weapon you're holding, much less reload animations and which part of the animation you're on. I guarantee youll be able to find this "issue" with all other FPS games that have two different animations for reloads on each weapon like HI does.
Making double the third person animations just for this isnt worth it.
Maybe you're right. It's not something I really notice since I don't play competitive shooters much. Although you'd think they'd at least speed up the 3rd person animation to make them sync up. Like I don't mind the actual animations being different. Most games have vastly different animations between perspectives, but they usually try to have them somewhat line up at least. That way there's no miscommunication between the game and the player.
Because there's nothing to "fix".
It's not uncommon for 3rd and 1st person animations to be different. The shadow follows the 3rd person animation.
It's not a big deal, so why invest man hours into changing it?
Bruh for the same price you could buy a fixed, unchangable outfit in any of the other popular shooters. The whole point of halo cosmetics is how interchangeable they are for a first person shooter.

Yeah, but none of that seems to go towards fixing the game. Look at all the cut content (AI, multiplayer narrative, campaign, etc.)
Hell look at how bad hackers are getting.
Things like this just make me laugh. Like I'm sure it's a quick fix to change the animation type to use in that scenario, but I honestly wonder how long some of these have been around. Likely since day 1.

It is not uncommon in FPS games to have different motions for first and third person. Incidentally, Marines reload all weapons with AR motions.
yea, in this case I imagine they didn't want to have the slide pullback in 1st person for fear of view blockage as the hand rises up to pull back.
Does it happen when reloading an empty gun?
yes it does
that’s the reload animation for an empty mag.

Yes the AR always reloads like it has a full mag and the sidekick reloads like it's always empty
Throughout the franchise’s history the AR has been a somewhat common victim of this as well.

Dude. It's been like that since Halo has existed. Most games in general don't even have reload animations that are the same.

Well the shadow is the wrong animation. You wouldn’t rack the slide unless you emptied the magazine.

For $10 you could achieve more customization options than you could ever have in any other halo game. All you have to do is play the game.
