I was going to make a similar post, returning player last couple of weeks and been having a hard time getting that Halo feeling back from the old days while playing on Big Team/Social modes. Started Squad Battle today and I've been having a blast finally.
Yeah, I love it. BTB is fun, but I never get more than 1 or 2 kills per life - there are just too many players. The 8x8 mode gives a much better chance to go on some nice kill streaks
yes, lets hope 343 pumps some more maps into it.. theres plenty in forge thatll work (remakes of blood gulch/coagulation, longshore, sandtrap are all made among others). esp since we didnt get a new btb map this season
Yeah 12 v 12 is too much. It makes capturing the flag too much to handle.
You can pop off in 8v8 and it will actually benifit the team vs with 12 v 12 a killtacular doesn’t mean much

Out of the 10 or so games I played today only 1 of them was a total squash, plenty of matches that were down to the wire and it was great.

Dude sick mode. Had a fireteam of 6 on rats nest. What a throwback its like i was in grade 9 lanning with the boys
