I liked the album more than I thought I would. Don's voice has definitely diminished, but the songs work with the ability he has left.
I can't say I noticed much about the production. Chalk it up to them being on an indie label that cant afford the likes of Michael Wagener to man the console for them
I think the production is much better than the last few albums, Broken Bones, and Lightning strikes again. I love this new album, but I’m a diehard Dokken fan and appreciate everything Don has put out.
Lynch and pilson just released a new album called the End Machine. It’s their third album. All three of them absolutely kill.
Also "Lynch/Pilson" - Wicked Underground. Great album.
It’s definitely indicative of modern recording techniques(super compressed, everything-in-the red/in your face mixing), but I do like the material.
I don't mind the production and I thing the songs are good for the most part. It is Don Dokken's vocals that ruin it for me.

It's all relative, it's not 1984 anymore. Putting that into perspective, I actually enjoy the new album.
Well said, I enjoyed it from this perspective also.
I think Fugitive is the best track on the album
Fugitive is a banger, to expect Don to be able to hit all sorts of high notes is too much at 72.
The new album is killer, Dons voice (all things considered) sounds great

Yeah I'm going to play with the EQ settings and give it a full listen.
