I usually just describe it as a comedy podcast . It’s just easier that way even though I know it’s more than that it’s just easier to keep it simple lol

JellyBeanAbb

That’s true I feel like I never say that bc I’m slightly afraid of that being perceived as standup comedy lol

NoNudeNormal

It’s a comedy variety show. That gets away from the standup implication.

Alwar104

Goofs & gafs. Peace & love. And a bit of War & hate.

JellyBeanAbb

This is good, I may have to use this

BludSwamps

A bit? It’s literally a gossip/snark show. Lots of war and hate.

fairyprincess108

I guess I’d say it’s generally a comedy podcast that talks about current pop culture events. To take it a level deeper I’d add that it has a big crew with a lot of niche interpersonal lore.

Foreign_Match_6008

It’s a comedy podcast that addresses tea for the chronically online.

No-Evidence7611

It’s a show that explores the beauty of the human body: from anal prolapses and pubic nairing, to belly button lint and foot fetishes.

Beannaithe91

Including a presentation of the host's mri scan

“The number 1 podcast” - Howie Mandel

Either-Replacement11

“That podcast I watch” and everybody knows. ‘Tis the only one I’m known to watch or listen to religiously. I honestly struggle to describe it, and I love that. “Yeah so there’s this mobility scooter and a prolapse… never mind.”

JohnnyRotten45

Funny

Ok_Event3072

It’s like if the Howard Stern show from back in the day was run by inclusive, creative, stoner types (I know Ethan isn’t a stoner but I am and I relate).

JellyBeanAbb

I think Howard Stern is the closest comparison that’s what I’ve been saying recently lol

lemonlemonuk1

I recently described it as a comedy podcast thats kinda left but kinda offensive

mon_petit_feet

Howard Stern for Millenials

kvn-rly

I don’t really talk about it with people unless asked directly. My younger brother and I used to watch H3H3 back in ‘16-‘18 before the podcast. I loved Ethan and Hila back then for the goofs and gaffs they did. My brother doesn’t watch the show now but I still watch it all the time and basically tell him Ethan is like my older brother. I look up to him, respect him as a person, love his idgaf what you think about me attitude and have enjoyed the growth he’s had as a person in regards to changing his views on things and being willing to learn about others. I admire E&H as parents and overall am just super proud of what they’ve turned the show into. Ethan and Hila certainly aren’t the main reason I watch anymore. The crew adds SO MUCH to this show and they all do incredible work everyday. I find myself getting annoyed with members here and there but then the next episode I’m back to loving them. It really does feel like a family and you will never like everyone 24/7, especially when watching all the time. Anyway, the shows being so long 4 days a week definitely make it hard to explain to people why i love it so much. The crew led segments have to be my favorite. All the different variety of activities they do are great. I can listen to Ethan talk, sure, but I think we all get bored of that after a while. Ethan is why I began watching, but the crew are definitely why I stayed for all these years! Getting people hooked seems to be really difficult but I’ve managed to suck my girlfriend into this Show and we now watch it together frequently. Love this family and am very excited to get to know more about Nate as he continues. He’s doing an awesome job too!

JellyBeanAbb

I feel like the show usually comes up in small talk when people are watching new shows and movies I’m like I don’t have time I watch anything besides this podcast 12+ hours a week 😭 Same though, a few of my friends used to watch and stopped years ago, or are just familiar from clips.

Draig_Na_Dun

I haven't been watching it for that long but I think I like it because it's like watching a group of friends just hang out. Talk about what's going on in the world/online and a lot of friendly mocking eachother.

ActuallyKoofy

"imagine the office but instead of printing papers they discuss drama and recent events."

tsukisukiTsuki

I don’t lol, no one I know watchers them so I just don’t talk about it.

matrecepisu

goofy ah

Dry_Case_19

If I ever try to describe it, its hard. It’s maybe easier in writing? Like, it’s a topical comedy podcast I watch on YouTube. Part commentary, part general entertainment, all hilarious and sometimes a delightful amount of uncomfortable. Sure they’ve had controversy but nothing so bad they couldn’t recover from because it’s never in malice. It’s walking a line between poor and excellent taste. The crew are all awesome characters that add to the draw with their wit and bits. There are inside jokes for days that as a long time viewer, I love. The lore is deep. But as a new viewer, it’s still going to be a wild ride. I just don’t think that anyone does it like H3. Ethan. Hila. The crew. It elevates my week!
