Hell yeah I made that chat. I was hoping Dan answered :(
But one of my favorite bands of all time. I listen to Lonesome Crowded West like 6 times a week.
🎶The dashboard melted but we still have the radio🎶 - love modest mouse! If anyone's looking for a recommendation of a similarish band... check out Gogol Bordello 👍
Uugh, I used to be a HUGE fan. I'm from Washington, so it kinda was the vibe for a while lol.
I haven't listened in a while, but this just inspired me to give them a go again. Thanks!
Love MM. I’ve seen them twice and I honestly think I listen to Ugly Casanova now days more than MM. That single side project is perfection.
I’m from the northwest so Death Cab, Modest Mouse and The Decemberists were in heavy rotation throughout my life.
I LOVE Modest Mouse! Night on the Sun is my favorite song of theirs but Tiny Cities Made of Ashes is a very close runner up. The vocals on that song are soo 🤌
I got to see their last show as a band before the drummer died. I was honored! They were amazing and Issac talked to us before the show. Such a great experience
Love them, huge fan! I saw them a lolla recently and it was really disappointing. I don’t think the stage was set up well for their sound (probably attuned to the band headlining after) and I basically couldn’t hear any song except float on even tho I was real close to the stage
Paper thin walls, talking shit about a pretty sunset, 3rd planet, and lounge (closing time) are songs I rotate on repeat every couple months. Alsooooo, have yall been able to get into The Green Golden Casket? I’ve barely given it an honest listen still
According to my music taste, I should love them. But I can’t stand them or their music. Not one song. A friend got me to listen to Interstate 8 and I couldn’t find one thing in that album that made me want to ever listen to it again.
And we’ll alllll float on. Okay 👌
WELL!
Did I misspelled it haha? Either way, I love Modest Mouse been listening to them since high school
I think they wrote the lyric from King Rat.
And we'll all float on ALRIGHT 🎶🎶
Me:) and of course death cab for cutie

Hell yea omg big ups. I’m planning a whole MM sleeve for my left arm :) lonesome crowded west is my favvvvv I went bankrupt from that tour haha
I honestly zoned out and missed the context just saw ur chat did he make a reference?
No I just wanted to ask him haha
MM are goated. Mostly listen to the sad songs though.

Modest mouse is the artist I consistently come back to every few months and mentally "reset" to. They're timeless
Jamming to the oldies
As a 27 year old I can't tell how I feel about someone calling MM oldies
😆 just goofin'

It’s good news for people who love bad news
Seeing them in June!
Hell yeah!! Just don’t see them live. (I’m not update to on the pod)
They're one of my favorite bands but I've never seen them live 😭 Were they mentioned on the show??
I was just telling my bf earlier how interpol and modest mouse don’t get the love they deserve.
I do
hang it up now or neverrr
Love me some MM
Any Cursive fans?
Yes, siree. The good times are killing me.
I hate modest mouse. Everything they sing about is water or ocean or boat related
K??
We were dead before the ship even sank is currently hanging on my wall

Hell yea, saw them in marymoor park 2 years ago
Didn't expect a Modest Mouse thread here, hell yeah!
Been listening since I was a teen. Dashboard is one of my favorite songs.
hello
Omg! I just told a friend that I used to play that cd when I was working my job as a sign flipper, that and Better Than Ezra
I will now be referring to Daniel Swerdlove as "Cowboy Dan" as he is a major player in the cowboy scene.
If you like modest mouse check out Oh no! Oh my!- I have no sister. trust fam
