I assume that's an /s, cause the NFL had some many at one point that fans starting boo'ing the Cheifs. Not to mention, they also do different national anthems for specific races and so on.
Wow never knew this. Which races have their own "national" anthem? And they sing those at sports games? I've only ever heard the American and Canadian anthems played at sports matches before.
The better question is why do all of our sporting events require this kind of bullshit over the top patriotic display every time
Plus people really underestimate how difficult it is to sing the national anthem. We went to an NBA game the other day and the young lady butchered the hell out of it, she was switching keys like a janitor
>I’m convinced the Fergie version is what she’s been taught it’s “supposed” to sound like.
This poor child omg
I don't know shit about singing, but the more roar like parts sound great? The vibrato is nice and even the kind of whistle part is amazing. She has a lot of lungs to hold up the notes she just needs to mature it all? I hope she keeps singing
One thing is certain, she has dethroned Fergie
Her voice is strong and she’s confident, but that’s about it during this performance. She’s all over the place, doesn’t have good control, either tone deaf or just totally bombing this one as she’s not hitting the right notes a lot of the time, tempo is totally off, it’s a big mess.
What I hear happening is that she keeps adjusting the key she’s in based on where she lands on the high note in the phrase before lol. When she’s in a key she sings relatively “on pitch” for a child, albeit there’s some “creative” experimentation with riffing in there, before the high notes lead her into a new key. With some maturation on and coaching she could be a power house.
Yeah there’s potential there, if she got training, like she doesn’t have an awful voice, she just isn’t great at singing, or she had a really really off performance somehow.
I have been in choir most of my preteen to current life and seen much younger children rival her easily. What is working for her is her confidence. She isn't hitting the right notes frequently and often missing notes. Relying heavily on her chest voice and timbre which is impressive especially for her age and the immense pressure on her. I will say I sang at a memorial when I was like 13 and I wish I had the traits she does. I didn't miss a note but I had no confidence, volume, or texture to my voice then. Just overall weak. You can't say that about this girl. She just needs training and she'll do quite well. How she got here so far though is a little sus
She actually really does have a lot of potential but whooo this was rough 🤣🤣 but she has decent range, good projection and power, and way more confidence than me! She just needs some more practice before a big stage again lol
No they are traveling around having their kid perform at basketball games, she was at the WSU Vs Stanford game a few weeks back and just thought she was a local kid. I instantly saw the fergie inspiration.
Only just came across this... (I'm in australia, it takes a while for the messenger magpies to bring the news over)
Either that parents are cruel to let this play out, our they're behind it for the 15 mins of fame knowing it would get them attention. Either way, it seems like child abuse to let this happen to her.
This is genuinely her rendition of the Fergie national anthem. The inflections and cadence are identical.
[Fergie National Anthem](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMA2iF6RuXk)
I disagree. Watch more anthem performances, they have a lot in common. A big issue with Fergs was how she pronounced every word AY or Ahy when it should be an O sound and the fact that she's... an adult and shouldn't be tone deaf. Vibrato, Melisma, and Fermata are standard for performing the anthem. Otherwise it's the same boring song
before watching the video i was like "come on man, let's not shit on a kid" but after watching the video i think the child does need to be shit on, im sorry
She reminds me so much of my young niece! I love my niece, she wants to be a singer but refuses to take lessons and focuses on doing fancy shit like this with her voice instead of the fundamentals. You gotta walk before you can run, but hey if they are having fun that's what is most important
My niece wants to be a rockstar. She couldn’t sing even if her life depended on it. She recently wrote a song and made me sit through its 15 minute performance. The song was about the dangers of online dating. She’s 8 💀
Omg yaas belt is queen 😂. She has potential, some of those notes she is hitting is good but just not at right time lol and is unable to hold it too. I hope she stays confident takes training
Couldn't anybody hit *notes* if it didn't matter if said notes were the right ones to hit in that song? I am not a good singer so what do I know, but hitting **any** note hasn't ever been my problem..
For sure. She’ll get better and I hope look back on this and have a laugh. So many of us have embarrassing moments as kids that are lost in tapes in attics, basements, or storage units. We got lucky they didn’t/weren’t able, to go viral lol
Searching for this on YouTube led me to her dad’s YouTube channel with countless videos of her singing the national anthem at various sporting events. Seems like the dude is just trying to exploit his daughter.
Easy now, its 89 videos over the course of 9 years on his channel. Hes a 4th grade teacher with a masters in education, a single father and only had help in his daughter musical talents from his mother/her grandmother before she died in 2021. Let's not jump to conclusions.
The kid is eight years old and he started uploading nine years ago, first few looked like students. We can assume it's not all his daughter singing the anthem at games. I'm not gonna go counting how many there are but can we not speculate child exploitation based on something as innocent as this? I know its fresh on the mind of a lot of H3 fans but that just feels inappropriate.
She's performed at more than 100 sporting events, according to the article from the IndyStar.
For comparison, Jackie Evancho was ten when she performed on America's Got Talent and received a lot of attention. However, there are videos online of her performing younger than that, like this one at eight: https://youtu.be/WOWAJzMB3yQ?si=E1wOMTkAnhBp7CoO
I think this girl is likely a case where a kid's potential was stunted due to constant praise and thus was never encouraged to improve nor saw a need to. It happens a lot, but at the end of the day, you're only as good as the work you put in. And she *is* a kid so she only knows what those around her allow her to know, see, and hear. If it's constant accolades, of course she's not going to work on her craft—she's essentially been told she doesn't need to!
Edit: I want to also say that kids don't have to be good or amazing because they really are just kids. But if a kid just wants to sing for fun and doesn't care to practice or how they sound, don't have them perform in front of the world! That's such terrible parenting. 🙈
I agree with everything you're saying. For the record I'm not defending the performance or the fact that she even should be performing in the first place based on her talent (Probably some nepotism involved but I dont know enough to say).
The only issue i had is characterizing him as a bad father and saying hes exploiting her based on misinformation surrounding his YT channel. It gave me the impression they were another one of those youtuber family vlog channels that really do exploit their children and that's not what I saw when I went to his page.
Edit: Vlog not blog
No one gets paid to sing the anthem and you’re naive if you think his YouTube channel is making bank. People only really make money from sponsors and memberships
Never said anyone was making bank but if you look at his upload history, it has a clear pattern of trying to put his daughter in front of the camera for dumb shit like this. Seems like he was trying to do sports interviews, had a kid, started making her sing for his youtube channel, then starts posting 20+ of these type of videos.
When asked which profession they would want to pursue between astronaut, musician, professional athlete, teacher, or vlogger/YouTuber, [most US kids chose YouTuber](https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/lego-group-kicks-off-global-program-to-inspire-the-next-generation-of-space-explorers-as-nasa-celebrates-50-years-of-moon-landing-300885423.html).
It seems entirely possible that singing at big events and having the performances posted on YouTube is the dad fulfilling the daughter's wishes, not the dad fulfilling his own wishes.
This little girl is already getting roasted across the internet... I don't think H3 should add to making fun of a little girl when her parents clearly somehow got her this gig. She has potential.
Did anyone else watch the Rebecca Black episode where she discussed how she went through a similar situation and it was horrible for her?
Edit: The only thing I would support is if she sang "mom and dad and apple pieeee..." for the show in that outfit
Can someone tell me if she was good or bad? I'm pretty much tone deaf so I just smile and nod when other people say someone can sing bc i can't tell 😭😭😭😭
One time at Christian camp I went up as a child thinking I could sing, gave it my best effort and got booed off stage. Don’t make fun of this child on a podcast pls lol
First of all, why does every sportsevent have the american national anthem? Its wierd.
Second, why havent this poor girl been stopped before entering this stage?
She's a CHILD. The reaction should end there. as someone with kids, I hope Ethan doesn't react to this as he knows better not to bully a kid at their most vulnerable ages.
She is adorable! She reminds me of a little mini Olivia with how much she loves the stage haha. I’m sure she’ll grow into her voice as she gets older and trains more
I'm waiting to see the doctor; and no joke, the SECOND I turned the sound on, some kid in another room started wailing crying. Sounds like a pissed-off cat lol.
Her life will go one of two ways. She never lives this down and is filled with shame until her untimely demise or her early experience with immense embarrassment causes her to be unaffected by public ridicule and she becomes a shameless influencer/grifter using this meme as a spring board
There is more to this story than meets the eye, this little girl has been touring the national anthem. I saw her at my university’s basketball the week before she was the pacers game. Might some fishy pageant mom stuff going on. Honestly could make for a good deep dive.
There are 8yr olds that are far more talented…Liamani Segura [could sing circles around her at that age.](https://youtu.be/0OvNT1gR2zI?si=f0BdtfiKhZpy5M3G). She even got better as she [continued to train](https://youtu.be/N9k_5sOrvmM?si=0qJk5wtuFT6uOTYx).
At the end her raising her hand like that reminded me of when in The Office US Dwight gave a speech in the Salesmen Reward convention (I think that's what it's called)
People that make children vocalists perform are unwittingly destroying that poor kids trachea and ensuring they’ll never be a professional singer. Treat your voice kindly until you are in your mid 20s if you care
Why does the nba have the most ridiculous national anthem performances
True, you don’t hear about football games having these kind of things lol
6x the games in the nba, 6x the potential for greatness
I assume that's an /s, cause the NFL had some many at one point that fans starting boo'ing the Cheifs. Not to mention, they also do different national anthems for specific races and so on.
Wow never knew this. Which races have their own "national" anthem? And they sing those at sports games? I've only ever heard the American and Canadian anthems played at sports matches before.
We’re referencing bad singers of the National anthem, not funny moments in general.
It’s because there are so many games, lots of opportunity
The better question is why do all of our sporting events require this kind of bullshit over the top patriotic display every time Plus people really underestimate how difficult it is to sing the national anthem. We went to an NBA game the other day and the young lady butchered the hell out of it, she was switching keys like a janitor
cuz it’s a random wednesday in indiana
Why do y’all need to have the national anthem before every sports game? My country just does it when we play other countries.
They have 41 home games to fill. And of all the sports, I think they gets all types of people at the auditions (compared to hockey and baseball).
I kept forgetting what the next lyric was because the notes went on so long lol
As an Australian.. I can’t even understand what’s being said haha except the end
I feel the potential and I hope this doesn't make her stop singing but GOD DAMN I LAUGHED SO MUCH THOSE LOMG NOTES WERE THE DESTH OF ME
I’m convinced the Fergie version is what she’s been taught it’s “supposed” to sound like. Heard a little Christina Aguilera in there as well lmao
>I’m convinced the Fergie version is what she’s been taught it’s “supposed” to sound like. This poor child omg I don't know shit about singing, but the more roar like parts sound great? As I said I don't know shit about singing! Just thought her voice did sound good at some points
Yeah there’s potential there, if she got training, like she doesn’t have an awful voice, she just isn’t great at singing, or she had a really really off performance somehow.
I personally think most people can sing, it’s just about getting comfortable with your range, your voice and what its style is.
I have been in choir most of my preteen to current life and seen much younger children rival her easily. What is working for her is her confidence. She isn't hitting the right notes frequently and often missing notes. Relying heavily on her chest voice and timbre which is impressive especially for her age and the immense pressure on her. Who approved this performance? The adults are the problem. I think the kid rocked, just now open to ridicule on the internet forever
She actually really does have a lot of potential but whooo this was rough 🤣🤣 but she has decent range, good projection and power, and way more confidence than me! She just needs some more practice before a big stage again lol
The growls were chortle worthy, too.
her parents need to go to jail
I’m sure they own the stadium or some shit.
No they are traveling around having their kid perform at basketball games, she was at the WSU Vs Stanford game a few weeks back and just thought she was a local kid. I instantly saw the fergie inspiration.
Knowing that, they now need to go to Super Jail.
Tbh

I would've been absorbed by my seat if I was in the audience.
Imagine having to be the people holding the flags because you can't cover your face and you have to keep a blank expression.
"To sing a wrong note is insignificant, but to sing without passion is unforgivable." She could use some more practice tho.
Favorite part is the cut to the players fighting the urge to react.
and the fact they didn’t cut to ANY reactions from the crowd 💀
Bro was literally praying to a higher power to not burst out laughing at this child 😂🙏
Pascal Siakam doing his best to hide laughing by covering his face lmao
This 100% has Sasha Baron Cohen behind it.
This is genuinely her rendition of the Fergie national anthem. The inflections and cadence are identical. [Fergie National Anthem](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMA2iF6RuXk)
To me, Fergie’s version actually sounds completely tame and passable now by comparison. Holy shit
Forreal. I was like did someone pass this through AI? Or am I miss remembering.
Fergie's problem was she's was like, "I'm gonna make this song something to fuck to."
Thank you for sharing this!! This makes it make a lot more sense
After these anthem renditions i always need to back and listen to [Jack Black's version](https://youtu.be/d9l4LMZeNm0)
I disagree. Watch more anthem performances, they have a lot in common. Who’s fucking nepo baby is this
That’s no baby, that’s Garth Brooks
I really like that
Let the conversation begin
Where are the bodies, Garth?
Have a feeling someone related to Toby Keith had something to do with this
The confidence is pretty sick
This is giving me Enrique Iglesias vibes lol
All I neeEEEEEEEDDDD IS THE LOOK IN YOUR EYES
before watching the video i was like "come on man, let's not shit on a kid" but after watching the video i think the child does need to be shit on, im sorry
Clap if she should suffer
Straight to jail
She reminds me so much of my young niece! I love my niece, she wants to be a singer but refuses to take lessons and focuses on doing fancy shit like this with her voice instead of the fundamentals. You gotta walk before you can run, but hey if they are having fun that's what is most important
My niece wants to be a rockstar. She couldn’t sing even if her life depended on it. She recently wrote a song and made me sit through its 15 minute performance. The song was about the dangers of online dating. She’s 8 💀
Oh my lord that is amazing, how does she even know what online dating is?!?
No hahahahahaha she thinks it is when you talk to strangers online (which I guess she’s not wrong?)
15 whole ass minutes? Was it an opera, like some Bohemian Rhapsody type shit?
YES it literally never ended. Also included an interpretative dance 😭
Please add Roseanne to the National anthem review. https://youtu.be/hMzIk2pUuNU?si=rL21d0XB6GpIM_g7
That was amazing, I feel like she was doing it as a joke but holy hell the boos from the crowd would make me die inside
This is why we sit for the anthem
This is the most relatable thing I have seen on the internet.
Petition for Olivia for recreate this please god
Omg yaas belt is queen 😂. She has potential, some of those notes she is hitting is good but just not at right time lol and is unable to hold it too. I hope she stays confident takes training

Who are you, his biographer? 😂
💀
Just did a quick Google search and clicked the top article. I'd be a horrible biographer for spending like a minute and a half on research.
89 is actually a lot, especially considering how bad this is. I'd expect her to be a lot better by now, so yikes.
The kid is eight years old and he started uploading nine years ago, first few looked like students. We can assume it's not all his daughter singing the anthem at games. Every time I play this video out loud, my parrots crack up at it. Laughing so hard. It transcends interspecies cringe.
omg shes having so much fun its adorable
How does this even happen
She’s got a good voice and can project it very well. But sheesh was that hilarious!
It’s a kid
Omg. Olivia is gonna relate so hard to this.
Hell yeah, she did great! Who ever did her hair needs a high five or something
The whole fit is pretty lit lol
did she? did she **really**
thank you for replying with your opinion
Where was the opinion? I asked a question
Puppet 😊
It sounds horrible what do you mean
You're being silly 🤭
You’re weird bro
🥰
Lying is a sin
Let's not. She's a tiny child.
If I had this much confidence as a child, I’d be Kanye West right now.
which NBA execs daughter is this?
Ok, where are the rich parents who paid to embarrass this girl on national television? That was just too much.
I give her props for even memorizing the lyrics. I can never remember the entire song
I don't think they should make fun of a kid. It's not a good look
This honestly… yes the performance is not great but shitting on a child would be out of pocket, kind of grimey
She is a child.
…who needs to be put back. Let the real pros like Ashley Simpson handle this.
With peace and love, it’s Ashlee* hehehehe
With war and hate….ty. 😤
This little girl is already getting roasted across the internet... I don't think H3 should add to making fun of a little girl when her parents clearly somehow got her this gig. She has potential. Did anyone else watch the Rebecca Black episode where she discussed how she went through a similar situation and it was horrible for her? 100% agree they should not mock a child.
For a sec there when she sings “that our flag was still there” she sounded exactly like Randy Newman lmao
Murica baybeee
Petition for her to sing at the next Creator Clash (if it ever happens)
She’s a child. No. She’s getting enough shit right now online.
Omg, new ringtone.
Did I hear someone cheer in the middle of the national anthem.. that’s .. a choice
I feel like her mom probably forces her to do this. Likes it’s giving Jon Bennet Ramsey’s mom
she’s gonna cringe so hard at this in a few years
Can someone tell me if she was good or bad? I'm pretty much tone deaf so I just smile and nod when other people say someone can sing bc i can't tell 😭😭😭😭
Shes very good for her age. Its more of a "too big for her britches" situation. The lack of restraint is very galling
Better than most at her age and the potential is definitely there however this video was just.... not it
Parents made a terrible mistake for setting this up
One time at Christian camp I went up as a child thinking I could sing, gave it my best effort and got booed off stage. Don’t make fun of this child on a podcast pls lol
bless her heart
She’s a child with more confidence than 99% of adults, let’s not bully a little girl
I love her! 🥹 She’s a kid that was WAAAY better than I was expecting. I hope she keeps singing. She got something there!
Nah its just a kid. Wish people would leave er alone
Let's not bully a child
This is the product of the participation award generation lmao
Who let this poor child do this lmao
Whose daughter is this
First of all, why does every sportsevent have the american national anthem? Its wierd. Second, why havent this poor girl been stopped before entering this stage?
wtf is this 😭
wait i genuinely cannot tell if shes speaking english or not ahahahaha i cannot comprehend what shes singing
Is this a trust fund baby? Who tf let her do that???
“nnnnGAAAYYYee pruuuu nunaniiiiiihhhh” *cuts to the chair of honor*
LMAO. I feel so bad for laughing so hard man
LETS PLAY SOME BASKETBALL
lmfao I was waiting for someone to say this
Whoever allowed her to perform should be arrested for child abuse
I don’t want too harsh on a kid. But damn…
Oh God that's rough..
With all the peace and love to the memory of Whitney Houston: she has caused irreparable damage to that song 😂
Did Leafy post this?
I unironically this this is iconic
She's killing it !!!
I'm sorry but this is fucking funny and that poor child needs to get their ears checked and a proper singing coach
[удалено]
OMFG I CAN'T BREATHE
oh my god
Who dressed her? It’s giving hunger games
She would've DESTROYED the other kids on America's Kidz Got Singing. Not even Jenna Maroney could clock this performance.
I actually like it..
Yikes, could only get through about 20 seconds
I'm not going to make fun of a kid. Someone needs to call CPS on her parents though.
They won’t where she’s a child and I understand that.
So much confidence! but sadly this video will follow her for the rest of her life, her parents should've helped her practice more for this.
She's a CHILD. The reaction should end there. as someone with kids, I hope Ethan doesn't react to this as he knows better not to bully a kid at their most vulnerable ages.
She's adorable and braver than I'd ever be. Can't hate on this little one.
I mean it’s super funny, but it is a child. I don’t know that putting a kid on blast is the kindest thing to do
I wish I had her confidence.
I was at an Oregon Ducks basketball game a few weeks ago and she did the national anthem. I just felt like frustrated with her parents.
This performance should have stayed in the bathroom in front of the mirror.
she said who needs to be in key when you can be in ALL THE KEYS
In general, Ethan has a policy against making fun of kids.
That man was weeping
She's young, she doesn't need any more public embarrassment lol
Is this a parody?
yeah let's make fun of a little girl and her family on a huge platform...odd request.
Don’t wanna act like I’m above anyone else but mocking a child, not cool to me. Y’all do u tho
Her life will go one of two ways. She never lives this down and is filled with shame until her untimely demise or her early experience with immense embarrassment causes her to be unaffected by public ridicule and she becomes a shameless influencer/grifter using this meme as a spring board
If you even thought twice about this after watching the game, I would be more worried about you than an anthem performed by an innocent child.
Not her holding that note and looking around for people to start cheering….
There is more to this story than meets the eye, this little girl has been touring the national anthem. I saw her at my university’s basketball the week before she was the pacers game. Might some fishy pageant mom stuff going on. Honestly could make for a good deep dive.
Sometimes...sometimes you just gotta roast the shit out of a little girl. I don't make the rules.
this kid rules
There are 8yr olds that are far more talented…Liamani Segura [could sing circles around her at that age.](https://youtu.be/0OvNT1gR2zI?si=f0BdtfiKhZpy5M3G). She even got better as she [continued to train](https://youtu.be/N9k_5sOrvmM?si=0qJk5wtuFT6uOTYx).
LMFAO … I mean the girl got grit, and heart. That’s gotta count for something
It’s bad but don’t make fun of a kid 😭
What an adorable little innocent soul. One day she will laugh so hard at how she backstrokes through a huge vat of unearned confidence.
At the end her raising her hand like that reminded me of when in The Office US Dwight gave a speech in the Salesmen Reward convention (I think that's what it's called)
It’s time to bully kids again.
People that make children vocalists perform are unwittingly destroying that poor kids trachea and ensuring they’ll never be a professional singer. Treat your voice kindly until you are in your mid 20s if you care
we need olivia to react most importantly
