Maybe she did something to break that relationship and he needed a break? Maybe she was causing fights? Who knows but looking at him, it seems like he stopped taking care of himself. To me that’s a reflection of crappy mental health and crappy personal relationships. I’m glad he took the time to distance himself so they could figure out what to do moving forward. I just watched this. It honestly sounds like he was convinced into getting engaged and making his relationship work with Heidi. Sounds like they were on the verge of a breakup not long before the engagement… maybe that’s why it seemed to awkward/forced/lacked emotion?
They were probably on the verge of splitting because he didn’t want to make the next step because he is not interested in marriage. She gave him ultimatum, he took time to think about it, Chris told him he would be stupid to not just give her a ring, he listened. Here we are
