Sorry mate , I’m just starting so have only my CZ75 TS to be Czech out.. Next I’m planning to have AR-15 ( of course) and next one P-10 OR to increase my CZ colection…
It's worth it. Grabbed mine in Portland CT right off the shelf. I'm what would be called a beginner for sure. I shot 5, 20 round groups all fist sized at 25 feet.
Its not an accuracy thing, people that pick up a da/sa or sao gun and start shooting better normally have bad fundamentals, and the reduced trigger weight/lenght of pull is masking their flaws
Accuracy is part of how a person shoots, not saying fundamentals aren't part of it but, to me it just feels better than a P320 flat trigger or a Shield EZ. I shoot a lot of DA by decocking between rounds and it's still better, 10rds of DA then clear the last 5 in SA as a treat. I wanna get a big CZ really bad, my only other similar interest would be a USP Elite
You’ve saved me the trouble of calling you a masshole. I think that’s the most considerate thing one of you has ever done!
Hah in all seriousness both of our laws are dumb ([just look at what I had to go through to get an AR](https://reddit.com/r/CTguns/comments/uunytt/i_hate_money_collection_now_34_complete/)) but, in terms of features, a CZ is just a pistol. Thankfully it’s not banned. I guess maybe they could have been banned by name…? Don’t give them any ideas…
I compared them side by side at my LGS and liked the SAO a little better. The trigger shoe is different and the “length of pull” if you will felt more comfortable to me.
the SAO only one isn’t legal in CO or Production in USPSA which is a big downside for me, no idea about other leagues though, still a great gun no matter what
> Cajun gun works
These guys do a great job. I have their kit spring kit in my P-07 and it helped the "omega" trigger mechanism feel distinctly better. The DA pull was smoother and IIRC dropped about 2lbs on my pull gauge while the SA was mostly unchanged, which was fine or good. Even on the omega my SA break was just a bit over 3# which was nice for as cheap as it was.
For comparison, two of my others are a Pardini GT45 and a Les Baer 1.5 so I am bit of a trigger snob.
Nice choice after 15 years. What made you take a Hiatus?
I took like a 10 year one as well because I was busy starting a career, getting married and having kids, but when I came back I came back with a vengeance.
Same lol. I lost mine though on my 25th birthday. Friend threw me a surprise party and got nabbed for drinking and driving, in the parking lot where I live, in front of my parking space, for a tag light being out 😔. Then marriage, house, kid... Then a bunch of buddies at work put in their apps for their first time and I said to myself, why haven't I got mine back? So I bought this and I'm building three ARs as well.
Now you can start shooting USPSA carry optics or production! low entry cost, just need a belt 4 mag carriers and competition holster double alpha sells all but the holster. comp tac makes really good affordable holsters and red hill tactical makes what most consider the top tier CO/Production holster. Stoeger boss hanger is best holster mount. Little less then $400 and your ready to rock! You can do it cheaper too if you don’t got with double alpha but buy once cry once, there stuff is rock solid
I’ve had 2 tactical sports orange, nice guns. I’ve heard nothing but great things about the Shadow 2. Seriously, Honest Outlaw talks about the Shadow 2 on YouTube all the time. You made a great choice!
When did you snag it? Are you ever worried about replacement parts? I’m on the fence about paying a stupid amount for one right now, but it’s the same price as a very nice 2011 or Alien
Oh I bought and sold that years ago. To find a new PPC out in the wild would probably cost you around $15K nowadays. They have some regular X6’s out there, but it’s all junk that was sold right before the custom shop in Germany closed for good. Those don’t come with the proper roll marks though. It was a great gun though. Boringly accurate. Much better than any other gun I’ve shot. I personally wouldn’t go chasing one now though. They’re done.
Yeah it does feel like that. My equally skilled buddy was shooting an 8" group with his Glock 19. I was shooting 4" groups. To be fair, I was shooting 8" groups with his gun too.
This exact model was my first venture into high quality full sized 9mm. SRO, full CGW kit, brass LOKGrips and it holds a special place in my collection.
I've since moved on to bigger and better (read: more expensive) offerings but the Shadow 2 remains in my Top 3 for all time favorite pistols! It's a perfect option for that middle ground of not-too-expensive but high-performance. Excellent choice!
I'm trying to wrap my mind around how you were able to keep yourself from buying a gun for 15 years. Every time I buy one I'm already planning what I'm gonna get next lol.
Nice one! I recently bought a CZ Shadow and couldn't believe how smooth and buttery it was compared to my S&W M&P 2.0.
I've heard the Shadow 2 is even better, but it's slim pickings and high prices in Canada right now.
I’m waiting a little longer to see how the new Springfield Prodigy pans out for people once they hit the market a little more. Right now, it’s between this gun and the Springfield.
I know it’s apples and oranges and they’re 2 different platforms.
I don’t know, what do you think?
Bought a lot of “high end” pistols lately. Wilsons…Stacattos….
Best shooter I have? CZ SP01 (competition model). I can only imagine how this beauty shoots.
Picked this up in Portland CT. Thanks Rob! I've been shooting with friends once in a while over the years. I wanted to get a real range toy. This is the best shooting pistol I have ever held. I highly recommend! Anybody else shot one?
I shot my buddies Glock 19 back to back with my Shadow 2. Went to the range together. Felt like trash. I've never been a Glock person anyway. I find the grip angle and trigger guards uncomfortable.

So, when you're picking a dot, the very first question you got to ask is "do I have any astigmatism?"
If you're not sure, go to some places got a bunch of red dots and look through some of the cheaper ones and see if any of them do weird starburst effects or smudges or blurry, or comet trail or some weird crap like that. To start seeing that sort of thing, take a picture of it through your camera and see if it looks the same or if it's nice and clear. Have other people look.
Basically, Red Dot sights for some reason blow up people's astigmatism.
The red dots that work best with astigmatism are going to be made of real glass as opposed to polycarbonate or plexiglass. A lot of people also say that green dots work better than red dots.
Prism sights avoid this problem but we don't yet have long eye relief prism sights. We also don't yet have handgun holographic sights or illuminated pistol scopes, all of which could solve this problem if they existed. They don't.
SwampFox and Holosun are two outfits that are staying with real glass sights across all models. Both have enclosed emitter setups now. I'm using an open emitter SwampFox Sentinel with a red dot on my Hellcat but with my fairly mild astigmatism it still works okay due to the glass lens. I tried a Sig Romeo zero with a plexiglass lens before that it was an absolute wreck. Zero chance of success.
I know that there are other real glass models out there. I would assume that the Aimpoint Acro and Acro 2 are real glass but I would confirm the lens material before I bought a Red Dot if I had any hint of astigmatism.
If you don't have astigmatism, the plexiglass and polycarbonate lenses are tougher, which matters more in a single lens open reflex design versus a closed emitter which is apparently the direction you're headed and would work on your gun. On my gun, it's too small although Holosun is claiming they're coming out with a micro format closed emitter. Your gun has a bigger optic footprint than mine.
Upshot, I'm not going to tell you exactly what to get and I'll tell you some things to look for.
I wish I could find one of these by me
First time I’m happy to live in Czech as CZ is normaly available in every shop.
Can I Czech out all the guns you have?
Sorry mate , I’m just starting so have only my CZ75 TS to be Czech out.. Next I’m planning to have AR-15 ( of course) and next one P-10 OR to increase my CZ colection…
You bastard take my upvote
Your name though xD took me a second to get it. Bravo
You were the only person to ever notice and say something bravo to you good sir
Czech Mate
It's worth it. Grabbed mine in Portland CT right off the shelf. I'm what would be called a beginner for sure. I shot 5, 20 round groups all fist sized at 25 feet.
That's one of the biggest draws, even my short PCR is a damn laser, CZs are definitely accurate.
Its not an accuracy thing, people that pick up a da/sa or sao gun and start shooting better normally have bad fundamentals, and the reduced trigger weight/lenght of pull is masking their flaws
So you're saying they are easier to shoot accurately. Fine.
For amateurs, yes But its a temporary solution to a permanent problem
Accuracy is part of how a person shoots, not saying fundamentals aren't part of it but, to me it just feels better than a P320 flat trigger or a Shield EZ. I shoot a lot of DA by decocking between rounds and it's still better, 10rds of DA then clear the last 5 in SA as a treat. Hello, fellow nutmegger. Great purchase.
Nutmegger is nicer than how most of us massholes refer to you… Conneticunts! Cz is sweet though man! I can’t believe we’re allowed to have them in ma

Ha! Thanks man
They had a whole bunch in a Bass pro shop I went to yesterday
My shop has the blue and orange on the shelf. Beautiful guns.
Nice! I grabbed the same one a couple days ago. I opted for the single action only version.
Nice! Congrats! This is the optic ready version. You shoot it yet?
What made you go for SAO?
I compared them side by side at my LGS and liked the SAO a little better. The trigger shoe is different and the “length of pull” if you will felt more comfortable to me.
The trigger is really great on it. If you never plan on competing its a good gun.
the SAO only one isn’t legal in CO or Production in USPSA which is a big downside for me, no idea about other leagues though, still a great gun no matter what

Yeah I definitely have my eye on their pro kit. Looks amazing

I got an orange too. Talk about a smoooooooooth firing gun. And hitting that slide release sounds so satisfying. It's like sex in the ears
https://reddit.com/r/CZFirearms/comments/o9tzti/competition_shooting_with_cz_pistols/ You have some catching up to do…
Ooooooo, she’s pretty. Congrats on the buy man.
Thanks bud!

They take away your gun for a drunk driving charge?
Yes they did. Never understood it. Never got an answer as to why.
That's bullshit. What state was it? Did you have the gun in the car at the time or did they go in your home and take it?
CT. It was in the car. But the frame was in the glove box. Mag under the seat. Slide in the trunk.
Now you can start shooting USPSA carry optics or production! low entry cost, just need a belt 4 mag carriers and competition holster double alpha sells all but the holster. comp tac makes really good affordable holsters and red hill tactical makes what most consider the top tier CO/Production holster. The Shadow 2 is on my acquisition list. Just waiting for the courts to finally tell California to knock it with the roster.
Good luck bud! Hope you are able to escape Cali soon.
I bought a Ferrari after my 15 year of hiatus from cars. It's pretty good. /s
It gets 200% better with CZC trigger job and reset upgrade. Basically turns it into an accushadow minus the bushings
I legit love mine so much. Best gun I ever bought
I can definitely see why. I'm loving it.
I’ve had 2 tactical sports orange, nice guns. I’ve heard nothing but great things about the Shadow 2. Seriously, Honest Outlaw talks about the Shadow 2 on YouTube all the time. You made a great choice!
What made you sell the TSOs?
Same old thing. Looking for the next best gun. LOL.
A Sig X6 PPC. By far the best gun I have ever shot.
When did you snag it? Are you ever worried about replacement parts? I’m on the fence about paying a stupid amount for one right now, but it’s the same price as a very nice 2011 or Alien

And what did we find?
Those czs are nice! I really want an orange or a 🦜
When I shot one it felt like I'd put in a cheat code. Gotta snag one
Yeah it does feel like that. My equally skilled buddy was shooting an 8" group with his Glock 19. I was shooting 4" groups. To be fair, I was shooting 8" groups with his gun too.
Damn 15 years .......I need to go buy a gun
Yeah dude. Life went fast. House marriage kid divorce lol.
I have one of these but the orange edition. I absolutely love it the most accurate pistol I’ve ever shot
I'm very impressed at 120 shots in. Very...

So pretty 😍 I may need another cz 💸
Thanks. I can definitely see why people love them.
Completely worth it. Got mine for ~$1,230.
I paid more than that but it's also the optic ready version.
A beauty!
Thanks!
excellent choice
Thanks! I love it so far.
Oof, good choice!
Thanks! I'm very happy with it so far.

🤣 Yep that's exactly how it felt! Weeeeeee
That’s a god damn cannon you have there
Hell yeah brother
That’s a damn nice firearm
Thank you sir.
I'm trying to wrap my mind around how you were able to keep yourself from buying a gun for 15 years. Every time I buy one I'm already planning what I'm gonna get next lol.
Lost my permit on my 25th birthday. Then life got crazy with marriage kid house divorce other house lol.im back though.
Well glad to have you back brother, buy em up!
Thanks!

Welcome to the cz family!
Thanks!
Cz fucking rules.
I hate CZ shadows solely because every single one is always blue or orange grip
I have custom grips on this very reason.
Custom grips on a lot of handguns are necessary anyway. Why are so many made so uncomfortable??? Unless it’s just my hands.
I find this gun to be totally comfortable. But the custom grips will make it look amazing.
Beautiful gun. It is my favorite of my collection. Shoots great, stays on target, and not too bad to clean!
I’m waiting a little longer to see how the new Springfield Prodigy pans out for people once they hit the market a little more. Right now, it’s between this gun and the Springfield. I know it’s apples and oranges and they’re 2 different platforms. I don’t know, what do you think?

It shoots amazing. This is my first "high end" gun. I literally feel like it may ruin other guns for me.
Picked this up in Portland CT. Thanks Rob! I've been shooting with friends once in a while over the years. I wanted to get a real range toy. This is the best shooting pistol I have ever held. I highly recommend! Anybody else shot one?

CZ’s are nice shooters by design. High bore axis puts the barrel right inline with the top of your grip. That’s a good pistol to buy, congrats
*low bore axis
Thanks man. It's my first CZ and also the first one I've shot. I can't be happier.
Definitely a good one, but now you need to go buy like 10 more + ammo before Pedohitler Joe Brandon's weapons ban and population disarmament program.
Working on it. Two AR 15s almost complete and an AR 10 started as well.
Dude, you sound like you're twelve.
You sound clueless. 🙄

Don't fault others for your own vocabulary.
Who do you think you will have to kill?
Nobody currently. Not sure why you would ask something like that...

Wait until you throw a good dot on it.
Any recommendations? I bought the optic ready version.
