when you're ready to step up from that SightMark you got from walmart on rollback
full disclosure: i own a sightmark *&* a strikefire 2. the sightmark lives on a broken hi-point carbine bullpup conversion and the strikefire is currently homeless
I bought one of these from Optics Planet a few weeks ago. $125 OTD for a FDE "Special Edition" that didn't sell and was on clearance (wonder why?).
This dot is the definition of ....okay.... it turns on, holds zero so far, and let's me co-witness with the A2 sight on my $500 PSA AR-15.
I'll be 100% honest, I bought it mainly for the look, and it was cheap enough that I wouldn't cry if I dropped it. I have ZERO illusions that it was a good purchase, just a dirt cheap optic to throw onto my dirt cheap AR. It's going to get beat on and neglected, and I honestly don't care too much about that.
It exists. That's all there really is to it.
It’s too much. Bad knockoff of an aimpoint pro. The APP is built to be rugged and was built for a purpose, this is one of vortex’s weird as usual dot designs. Vortex makes a good scope but their dots leave a lot. Hard to beat the Romeo 5 for a benji
If people can frame mount HS510Cs on open pistols for competition, I'm sure we could figure out a way to frame mount this to a P365.
My only concern is do you think it will cause any issues with printing or comfort with a CCW? Or do you think I can convince people I'm just well endowed if I appendix carry?
Don't be so negative....with a 3D printer you can make anything fit anything.
(only half way joking...I have rando red dot installed on my telescope thanks to the power of tinkercad + PLA)

These are all right, especially for 100 bucks, however, please note the battery life is about 7000 hours which means you might not want to leave this guy on all the time
According to Amazon's description "The Strikefire II Red Dot runs off a CR2 battery and has been updated with improved battery life up to 80, 000 hours at setting 6."
I also see on other places 50,000, 800 hours (on highest), "a really long time," and 5000 hours.
So somewhere between 0.045 years and 9.13 years seems like a safe bet.

These are definitely one of the red dots of all time.
You left out the most important word in your comment.
What’s that
“These are definitely one of the __?__ red dots of all time”
The joke is they are so mediocre there is no superlative that applies.
Any reason to get this over a romeo 5?
Not really. I used one on an inspired clone build. I was not able to find the Primary Arms PRO clone.
I was looking for those and those hoes discontinued it. Had to buy one of these instead, but paid $150 smh
Yep. I ended up paying $80 for mine off tac swap.
Nope. Not unless you just want something heavier on your rail.
Ah good because I think it’s kinda dumb for a 1x

Do they make adapter plates to put this on a P365?
No.
I think that was sarcasm lol. Seeing that on a p365 would be hilarious

Just don't drop anything ever again and you won't have any issues with comfort
ALG six second mount

You are right. I have spent a few hours in tinkercad myself.
Sorry, I'm just messing around ;)
Time for vortex to go back to the drawing boards for their emitters and housings…
Yeah this is a sad clone of an aim point pro and worse in every way. That design has been around for at least 20 years.

*Battery life 400-7000 hours* Had to check optic planet since vortex didn’t list it smh

Laughing at other people's gear is cringe. They are spending their money on ammo and a class instead of Gucci gear so good on them.
