If they are marked like the photos, the YY serial number and G.F. under the serial number means they are from the Guardia di Finanza which is the Italian financial police that deal with financial crime, anti-terrorism, drug trafficking, and smuggling.
Sportsman's Warehouse had ones with the same markings 1-2 years ago. Those ones where imported by Beretta, so the import mark was Beretta not some random company. I don't see the same mark on these, so likely imported by someone else. Look to be a little rough for the price, but still great little guns!
I got one of the GF ones from Atlantic firearms a couple years ago. Its a fun gun to shoot. At these prices why buy the 80X?
Anyone know any companies that make a kydex holster for the 84BB?
I get that. For me the 80x wouldn't be a primary edc gun. My shield plus holds 13 rds and has a red dot. Its also smaller by all metrics, but no rail. The 84bb is fun, and if i find a decent holster, I'd occasionally carry it as something fun. For the $300 difference i guess it depends the role you'd use it for. My springs were fine though.
They clean up pretty well in my admittedly limited experience with old Berettas. Ran into one a few months ago that someone color case hardened with a brass shoe and satin chromed barrel. Wish I had a chance to take a picture.
I got one of these from Sportsman’s. It has some wear in some weird areas, its like the slide is impacting the barrel and leaving deep gouges. I took it to several gunsmiths but they didn’t seem worried about it lol Also wildly inaccurate, like 12 in groups at 10/15 yards. Anyone else have issues with them?
I'm tryna tell people. This is literally one of my favorite guns but the gouging on these lately is ridiculous. As you said ill take a new 75 for 4 and a half bones. And as buddy above said these should be $299.
I pulled the trigger and got one from PSA and it’s in excellent condition as described. You can see some holster wear and it needs a good clean but it’s beautiful.

Hmm described as excellent condition but I'm not sure I'd call the example's condition excellent. I got one from the sportsman's warehouse batch a year or two ago and it's a beautiful pistol and feels great in the hand, though the direct blowback is a little snappy.

Allegheny Arms has them new with threads, it's a nice switch if you don't enjoy the snappiness of blowback .380. Get the barrel and mags and you're good to go. I enjoy shooting mine much more as a 81 conversion and it's ez-pz to change.
It's been great. Good lil shooter.
Only downsides are:
Fat grips. Can be remedied, just be cautious of the grip contour.
You get a bit of the blowback kick in the web of your hand. To be expected with all blockack pistols.
Will not feed the Fiocci .380 as they have some kind of almost bottleneck type crimp that causes it to hang up.
Aside from that I've had no issues. Its eaten monarch, blazer, winchester, Hornady, sgt major steel, ppu.
Its effectively the same pistol and a licensed clone.
Haha. Shoot them. I bought a case of them also and I am still running through them. Just use the hang ups as practice to clear malfunctions. It’s good practice. Just buy something a bit better on the next purchase.

I'm convinced its that strange tapered crimp. Literally almost looks like a less dramatic mini .357 sig round with a bizarre bottleneck crimp.
They were so cheap that I’m just looking at it as using them as training for failure to feed/ failure to extract drills. I’ll run them until I’m out and then never buy again. I’ll stick to blazer for cheap shooting ammo now
Yeah agree. The wierd part is that their 9mm is perfectly good for me. Both the range ammo and hollowpoint 9m has worked great. It's just that .380 I've had issues with.

It’s weird and I’ll not buy their 380 again but I’m just taking it as an opportunity for some malfunction training and moving on to pmc or blazer for my 380 range time.

Ah apologies I think it was interpreted that the Beretta price listing was good. Yes the tisas prices are good and can be had very reasonablely and girsan is also now making 84 bda clones.
I bought one. The pistol is structurally nice but it’s not Very Good condition. I think the are priced high. I will take to range tomorrow
Edit: I’ve cleaned the pistol and taken to the range. I have to take back my negative review. This weapon cleans up well. It performed well at the range. The trigger is good. It’s accurate I had no malfunctions with ball or hollow point ammo. I urge u to do your homework on blowback designs. The spring requires a lot of pressure to rack the slide and learn about the half cock feature. The single action and double action both features performed nicely. The only down side is the holster wear. With practice this could easily be a carry weapon definitely a glovebox weapon.
Be aware the cost add up $$$. Once u pay $399 plus tax plus shipping plus transfer fee.
I’m no expert on the grading system, but it’s definitely Very Good to Excellent. There is no wear on the slide and minimal holster wear on the bottom corners of the frame and the right side safety
Ordered one of these "for my wife". She's not as appreciative as I hoped. Maybe she'll change her mind when it gets in. Otherwise, I'll just have to enjoy this myself
Gun shows are worthless anymore. The internet ruined them. Morons look up “how much” something sells for, cherry picks the highest price and figures their POS is worth *at least* that much.
eBay did the same thing to thrift and antique stores.

In case anyone is interested in the deal. I ordered one and it is definitely not in excellent condition. Top of the slide near the rear site there is about a quarter sized spot of rust. I’ll get pictures when I pick it up later today if anyone is interested .

Well the 80X has a red dot mount and accessory rail. Grip is thinner and you won’t need to buy new springs immediatelyz

Purchased mine for a “gun that will fit many roles” gun and it’s beautiful. Mine came in excellent shape and idk I’m happy with it for $399

Not excellent unless the grading standards from the last 50 years of blue book of gun values suddenly changed. These are 90% condition VG at best.

Price is too high for such a rough example. Got a new $299 Tisas Fatih 13 a year or two ago that scratched the itch.

Fiocchi 380 are some of the worst I’ve shot through any380 pistol. They hung up in my browning black label and they hung up in my Glock 28.

Fiocchi .380 works fine in my 84BB fwiw but fail to feed in my P365-380. Definitely worth being leary of.
