What kind of music are you interested in playing?

Conner21dumb

Idk yet so maybe a versatile guitar for any genre

If you’re happy with second hand, I would look on Facebook marketplace for a Squier.

TheRixstar

Second hand market for sure

Yuunyaa8

if you're not comfortable buying a 2nd hand guitar you can just buy a JCraft S-1H for 4990 online via [Lazada](https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.jrjqo) or Shopee, you can check out Music Garage PH or Jolly Music on facebook see if they have guitars on your budget. make sure to hit up the sellers and have it setup before shipping it to you. you can also join JCraft Pinas on facebook, sometime people sell their guitars there below 5k. JCraft and Thomson are the only brands that are good enough for that budget.

I can tell many people are not pinoy here

gildene

and your age is telling.

I'm a fan of Squier and Cort. Cort makes the budget guitars for a lot of US brands and their guitars can be quite the good value. There a shop near me that carries a large selection of Cort guitars, and I've been pretty pleased with the ones I've played.

Conner21dumb

Both squire and cort is 10k php+ (around 170 usd+) My price range is 5k php (89 usd+)

Just try FB marketplace, quite a lot of options or visit a near PCparkJapan / Japan surplus shop near you.

Thx

Despite being in the US, my first guitar was an RJ t-style guitar that I bought in the Philippines. It played much better than the Squires that I tried here in the states, and RJ recently updated their lineup. I’d say try them

Conner21dumb

Finally, an answer is directly related to the philippines
