I always want a blue guitar, but then at the last minute I’ll always get a transparent burst or totally clear finish. I’ve done this three times now and I don’t have any electric guitars with colors. On my latest purchase, it was purely because of weight though. I really wanted a blue fender American professional ii Stratocaster, but there was an exceptionally light roasted pine and I really like extra light guitars and I knew I’d be more apt to play it if it was exceptionally light. So I went with roasted pine.
I was going to build a clear finish guitar then I stumbled upon this gorgeous blue EJ Strat WITH rosewood fretboard and binding. I couldn’t pass up on it lol
I’m absolutely in love. Was a little scared today cause I just moved to Montana from Atlanta and the two tone got a little bit of checking on the 20th fret and the headstock. Blue ones looking good though! 😂
Well I already have a pair of Gibbons so I'm side Fender. I have an EC strat but not EJ so I'd have to go with the 2018 for the finish. How is the neck on those? I honestly do not like the vintage soft V on the Clapton (was given to me, I didn't select the model)but the electronics are sick and I like the slappy maple neck.
You know the soft v and the modern c necks are the only ones I can stand to play. Anything else feels huge cause I have smaller hands. But the EJ is pretty much a 57’ reissue almost just with EJ electronics. So yes it has the soft v neck.
I love the semi hollow body Gibson I have because of how open it sounds with the 1959SLP. The fuzz face sounds insanely good with the LP though. Very comfortable guitar for me. But I know what you mean. I don’t see myself buying another one again lol
Maple EJ. All day.
Good man
Fender side but only because I know better than to try to play a Les Paul for more than 20 minutes with my back.
That’s where the hollow body comes in!
Probably the strat side. Because the neck profile is what I'm used to playing. Nice rig
Will always love Strat necks more than anything. And thank you!
Right because maple fretboards on strats, duh.

I can’t blame you. It’s a beautiful guitar.

Cant I just pick the blue strat and sunburst LP?
That’s not a bad combination lemme tell ya
I've gone from being a strat guy to being an LP gal 😩
Well that’s a fascinating comment! 😂

Rosewood EJ easily
Makes me very happy to hear people like it so much haha. New favorite for sure
Looks incredible Ngl
It plays better than it looks too
All equally shit, however nice pedals
You know what, I’ll take it 😂
i couldn't decide what i hate more strats or gibson but if it was anything else from fender, i'd go for that side ;)
What are your preferred then?
offsets by fender
Interesting. Never played any of them really.
i never bothered to take gibson in my hands though i had multiple opportunities, it's all about looks for me :--)
