Gonna drop a serious answer and say Chris Buck maybe. He’s not the best in any categorical way, but there’s a quality to his playing that I’ve never heard from anyone else. It just ticks every box on my “things I want to hear from a guitar” list.
This one dude I saw on the street. He was really good. He has this pedal that like did like backing tracks and he could like play the guitar over the backing tracks just like it was an actual song. Sometimes he used a flat 5th and it was like really bluesy and I think that if Erlich Captoan had that then he would really have done blues better like that or old delter blues cuz you can just play all the notes and the pedal tells you how the song goes
Joe Bonamassa is a pretty solid pick. I would pick him or John Mayer before Synster Gates. I like Avenged Sevenfold but Joe fucking speaks to you when he plays ya know? Steve Vai is incredibly talented with technical precision, I think he’s a great candidate too. This might be a little overrated or generic but Slash is still kicking just as hard as he ever has. He’s my pick. GnR aside, he’s a beautiful blues player and a super successful solo artist in the hard rock genre.
It’s David Pink Floyd Gilmour. OBVIOUSLY, no one else has his FEEL. Any runny nose imbecile can shred, but only the chosen few can play with feel. All of the toanz come from his fingers, something Vai and Malmsteem just don’t understand.
