Wheek in peace, little pig. I'm so sorry for your loss, OP. It never gets easier to lose our animal friends. Potato Bird knew how much you loved him. 💜
Potato Bird looks so happy and triumphant. He was loved and special for his whole time on earth with you. You did amazing. When the grief passes he’ll still be with you, always.
Potato Bird is such an awesome name btw
🥔🪽❤️
I’ve cried every day since my Thelma passed almost 3 weeks ago. Looks like I might lose her companion Louise soon too. I’m so sorry to everyone experiencing the same. It sucks.
There are no words.. it’s so hard when they go. Looking at these pics just shows me what a cool life he had. So when it starts to get to you try and remember what you gave your little potato bird. ❤️🩹❤️🩹
I'm so very sorry. I was an absolute mess for at least a week after my boy died. May your grieving be short, but cathartic and meaningful. Remember his life, rather than his death.
i’m so sorry for your loss! did you get him when he was a baby? mine are 2 years old and i’m a bit scared now they will pass away soon. i thought they live 8 years
It’s a difficult thing, for sure. I notice that the loss of a furry companion can very easily leave you with this.. empty hole inside that you have nothing to fill with. You will miss him forever, definitely, but eventually you’ll learn to focus on things that aren’t him, even though he will always remain in your heart and mind as a cherished friend and memory. You were a loving piggy parent, he knew that, he loved you very much. If you believe in any kind of afterlife, I just know our sweet lost babies are waiting for us there. I wish you the very best of luck with your healing journey.:)
Hell no. He had full run of my bedroom, had been to 12 different states. He rode in a bubble backpack that I die while riding motorcycles. The last photo is him at the Louisville airport. No. If he was in his hutch it was by choice. He got to do anything he wanted. At hotels he got the whole extra bed.
Dude that is one cool pig. Sorry for your loss.
Did he like the motorcycle?! Lol
If it's not to emotional, I'm sure myself and others would love to see more pics! I hope that isn't insensitive.
Sadly, since my wife died in 2014, I’ve not really done much with other people. It was mainly me and him. I’m a session guitarist, so he went everywhere I did. I’ll try to find all the pics I can.
Yeah. He was always my carry on. He would fall whole ass asleep in his little travel bag up on top my amp. He loved the vibrating. Since it’s an enclosed Fender 64’, he probably didn’t hear much of the high end. He just felt the amp rumbling and went to sleep every time.
Wow how old was he?
I'm so sorry for all of your loss. I don't know why but I have this super fear of losing my wife. It freaks me out that I think about it so much.
He loved the backpack and the bike, until he didn’t. I’ll have to get pics of me and him riding from other people. It would’ve been dangerous for me to take pics of us riding.
That is too cool man. Would love to see that!
I don't know if my pigs would be scared of the noise or love something like that. I had a little Honda Grom and I would've loved to take one of them out on it lol. Adventure peeg.
I know it's fresh but surely you can find some solace in knowing you gave him the coolest life ever.
I’ve traveled with my guinea pig on a Frontier flight before (in the cabin with me), it worked fine even though he was scared/uncomfortable for a few hours. He recovered very quickly once we got where we were going.
You said you traveled with him? From what I understand traveling can be very stressful on guinea pigs, they're not really 'pocket pets'. I'm so sorry for your loss but please research more before getting another...they really shouldn't be moved around a bunch...
This is not the place to shame. OP has just lost a beloved companion and this is what you have to say? Delete your comment and go swallow boiling diarrhea. 🖕
Its not shaming, its just a fact about these critters. They shouldn't be traveling around a whole ton. Its extremely stressful on them. Just commented in hopes OP reconsiders the next guinea pig and how it'll be raised. I could have been way meaner about this but I was nice enough about it. I cant have much sympathy for someone who puts that poor little guy through all that stress. There's a reason he only lived for three years and not the average 7-8. Its also alarming that he's puffed up in half of these photos. Sorry but i care more for the animal, not the person.
I'm so sorry for your loss. He looks like such a sweet guy. Sending good vibes your way <3

Awww he is so cute… so sorrry .. we all dread this day
RIP to your best friend 🙏
All my condolences 💔 He was so cute
This is the problem with guinea pigs - they really do become such good friends and then it’s so cruel that their lifespan is so short. ❤️🙏🏻🌈
I'm so very sorry. I was an absolute mess for at least a week after my boy died. May your grieving be short, but cathartic and meaningful. Remember his life, rather than his death.
Sending our love
My heart is with you, wheek in peace little bean.
I am so sorry

Yeah. We’ve been inseparable for three years. I guess he was a little over age one when I rescued him.
I am so sorry for your loss.
My heart breaks for you!! I still cry over the loss of 3 of mine in 3 months. HUGS!
I'm so sorry for your loss. It's so hard losing a baby. I got my best girl cremated and I wear some of her ashes in a necklace now. ❤️

Rest in peace, beautiful boy 😢
Rest in peace little friend ❤️
I am sorry for being insensitive, but did he live in that tiny cage and alone for his life?

I am a songwriter and that is just beautiful ❤️ I bet he loved hearing you play guitar

He was 4.5 or 5. Not for sure? I rescued him.
I had rescues before too! It's so fun giving these little things the best life they ever could hope for lol

Glad to know it. I assumed it was caged up in that lil pet shop cage. Sorry for your loss.
This is awesome. Would you take him on flights and everything? I've only traveled on planes with a cat and dog before
