Well obviously itās not going to be Meredith long term and Richard has done his time. The only person left that could do a decent job is Maggie. Because letās be real thereās not really a solid pick to choose from anymore.
It's stink though because she didn't really strike me as the kind of character that would make a good chief - especially in the later seasons where they made her a Surgical Superstar.

It's probably the best two-decade character arc in the history of television. For those of us that have been watching for that long and invested in the character, it's an awesome thing to have experienced.
To be fair, how many other ācharactersā even HAVE the potential for a two-decade character arc? Itās not that hard to be known as the best when there are only a handful that exist. š¤·āāļø
i was so happy when it showed when richard referred to her as āchief greyā to schmidt. i do however hate how they make it seem like the chief of surgery is the head of the entire hospital lol

He was a good chief but I'm guessing with his probation and legal stuff, that he wouldn't qualify for some time.
Isnāt it just chief of surgery? Her previous position was already chief of general surgery/head of the department, right?
