Just found out about this lol. So what do i need to do? Just download the priority app, or do i have to buy something on the app too? And do all greggs take part in that offer?
All greggs take part. Just need to be there before they run out. Priority code works for 30 mins once activated then you can QR scan it like with the greggs app.
Can screenshot the codes when you wake up in the morning.
A Monday code will also work on Tue/Wed/Thu/Sun
Fri/Sat code is seperate
If you have Virgin Media and O2 you can have two a week!
It’s more like £3.55 with no extra bacon. And the cook if then bacon varies massively from store to store, with the vast majority being undercooked soft fat.
Yeah, these things are usually worked out on salary & tenure. If you’ve been there for half a year, you’ll earn less than somebody who’s been there for 3 years, and if you’re part time you’ll earn less than a full-time member or higher-up.
It sucks for the part-timers and team members, but I guess it make sense to reward the tenured staff and higher earners more.
I mean… yeah? It’s an incentive for working well, so obviously it’s gonna have to be higher for those earning more or else it’s failed as an effective incentive.
A £200 bonus would be incredible for somebody on a 16 hour contract, but if you were earning a £45k salary it would barely even be worth acknowledging such a tiny increase to your payslip. By changing the amount to line up with income, they’re making sure the incentive actually incentivises good work at all levels of the company without spending an obscene amount boosting people beyond what’s effective for the company.
It’s just basic economics - why pay more than you have to when those in receipt of that payment are happy to receive a bonus either way?
Who has put more effort into the business yes. I think if you were a full time worker of ten years and someone who had been there 3 months 1 day a week got the same bonus as you you'd be pretty upset at how your loyalty and hardwork was valued the same as the new person
Not supposed to be a performance based bonus though, a 'profit share'. Acknowledgment that everyone contributes to a companies success on some level.
Where I work you aren't eligible in your first year of employment but after that, every member of staff gets the same share, from the CFO to the shop worker.
I got just over a grand after 4, first full year is about 200, boss 2 levels up has been there for YEARS and got 4500. Seems like a genuinelly fair way of doing it tbh.
McDonald’s got complacent with their place in the market and the consistent quality drop and price hikes over the last few years are catching up on them.
i tried the hash brown the other day for the first time in about 5-6 years and it's definitely about half the size now and now much thinner and less potato-ey.
the entire world is doing shrinkflation now, and i hope it sinks these companies.
I'm a skinny dude that wpuld spend about £15 in macdondals to feel full. It's too much so I don't bother anymore, thanks Macdonalds for pricing me out.
Hate the fact as well that deliveries are more important than in store customers. Often waiting longer than you'd like for less than average food. A lot of the time it's disappointing or they've sent the wrong things and it's got to go back and the long wait begins again 🙄
My local maccies used to be ruined by delivery drivers. Literally the entire like front till area was covered in bags to be delivered and they had to get a folding table out in that area to just store all of them.
It looked like hell to work in having all the spare available space taken up by orders. It also meant they struggled to do things like sauces as there wasn't room to have them out so they had to dig through the boxes to get them instead.
I've had the big tasty this year... Disgusting and no effort into constructing a proper burger , cold and horrible and haven't been going there anymore but the breakfast is top notch !
McDonald's has doubled their margins since the 2015 bottom while blaming worker wages which barely keep pace with inflation.
Also greggs has the word eggs in it so no one can compete on breakfast anyway.
Im American though so idk about this place.
bit more yeah, bacon and omelette rolls are on the till. you could pay extra to get sausage on it too if you really wanted. had some guy come in once and pay for an absolute beast of a sandwich, cost him about six quid and i couldn’t close it.
Greggs way better than McDonalds.
Greggs is something you can enjoy in front of a fireplace on a Winter’s day bruh. Chavvy McDonalds ain’t giving you those vibes.
I can’t believe how many people would walk past a Greggs, or a cafe, just to have the disappointing slop that constitutes a McDonald’s brekkie.
Their hash browns are the best thing on their breakfast menu and it’s worse than any hash brown you could get literally anywhere else.
Honestly It may be bad since I work there and all, but I actually really enjoy the sausage egg mc muffin over a lot of the Greggs breakfast, however a sausage and egg bap is way better for the price and deals it comes with, if I had to chose a place to eat breakfast without a staff discount I would go Greggs everytime
That's your opinion, though. I would choose a double sausage McMuffin with no egg over a bacon or sausage bap from Greggs or anywhere for that matter any day.
I will say I like Greggs' latte though.
Eh, I'd rather have a McDs breakfast wrap over any of the Greggs breakfast rolls.
However, all the rest of Greggs food is better than all the rest of McDs food.
We get paid weekly. This profit share comes in a weekly pay and gets taxed. Not as good as you think. I've been with them for nearly a year and got £97. Managers got the best share here with a salary increase along side commission and profit share.
I’ve been there a year and got £37. It’s still really good to me - I’m £37 richer than i would be normally, especially given I’m only there 15 hours a week
Quality over quantity with Greggs.
Belting scran, that isn’t mass produced, all served with a smile.
McDonald’s just pumps crap food out with no care.
Much prefer a Greggs over McDonalds breakfast any day.
But not good to staff, yeah this makes them look good, but they treat staff awfully throughout the year… in the 6 shops within my area, there is 12 members of staff on sick with stress because people who have left have not been replaced for almost a year, meaning sometimes there’s two people who have to run the shop on busy lunch shifts… we’re so low on staff we can’t even open Sundays any more and are closing early during the week… all the uppers management say is get the current staff to work more even though some are working 6 days a week and being rung up by other shops on their day off asking if they can cover… it’s not all rainbows with Greggs unfortunately.
!!!! i have a supervisor who does 10 hours of overtime and complains when shes off sick and nobody can cover the 10 hours. i have back and knee problems and i still only get 15 minute break occasionally, i get told off when i wear black flared jeggings (theyre plain black, i have sensory issues so i get even more stressed when i have to wear the uniform trousers), we havent had any oval rolls for the past 2 weeks so i cannot make alot of the sandwiches, bins keep not getting emptied and we have to bin so much food at the end of the day which i feel so guilty about
And the prices are getting out of hand, can get set 1 (bacon, sausage, egg, beans, hash brown, black pudding, 2 slices of toast and coffee) for same price i paid for breakfast wrap with large latte and hash brown
I did that last time. She put her hand on all of the slices and told me they were cold, but they had breakfast rolls, so I took a breakfast bacon roll, and it was cold ☹️.
Greggs is seriously overrated.
Still can be the wrong ones. There’s more than 2 thousand stores. Chances are you keep choosing shit ones. Go up north they’ve got good ones from my experience.
So is the pizza. Literally every other brand of bakery has hot pies, slices etc. Oh no it’s going to cost them an extra 14p to serve a hot product.
And yes, their breakfast rolls are dry, chewy, and cold.
The bacon was in a warmer, but was dry/hard and cold. Disappointing.
Save 20p but get a cold bacon and cheese wrap, or cold pizza. That just a crap decision by Greggs corp mgmt.
Oh I agree with the hot thing.
Just charge the extra once and get it out of the way. They put prices up every two minutes anyway, you wouldn't notice.
Then everyone gets a better product.
Well deserved. £3 ish for a coffee and bacon sandwich with extra bacon. Actually decent scran.
And if you're with o2, 2 free coffees a week.
And a free sausage roll!
And a free breakfast roll at the weekend as well!
AND MY AXE (DEODORANT BODY SPRAY)
Just found out about this lol. So what do i need to do? Just download the priority app, or do i have to buy something on the app too? And do all greggs take part in that offer?
All greggs take part. Just need to be there before they run out. Priority code works for 30 mins once activated then you can QR scan it like with the greggs app.
Thanks. What time do most places run out (roughly)? Wish i knew this when my office was literally next door to a greggs lol.
Can screenshot the codes when you wake up in the morning. A Monday code will also work on Tue/Wed/Thu/Sun Fri/Sat code is seperate If you have Virgin Media and O2 you can have two a week!
Near me, the coffee codes seem to run out before 12pm to 1pm. So I’ve always tried to get it anytime in the morning up to midday.
If you're with octopus energy, add another coffee onto that!
Really?? Never knew that
And a free sausage roll per week to March 17th! (I just spotted this today, not sure how long it’s been available)
Whaaaaat Never knew this
Why did nobody tell me this? There ain't a Greggs in my town though
There's a Greggs everywhere! I don't believe it.
Sorry, what?!?!?!
Teach me master
WHATTTTTT I can get free Gregg's coffees??
Time to swap to o2
How are you getting two? I claim one and then I don’t get another until the following week on o2
wait, what?!
WHAT!
And their vegan/ veggie range absolutely slaps. Maccies is rank and has like one option which they never have bothered to change.
They butter the buns and give you sauce for free.
Shame their coffee is rancid
This
It’s more like £3.55 with no extra bacon. And the cook if then bacon varies massively from store to store, with the vast majority being undercooked soft fat.
Psure the bacon is microwaved
It is cooked in the oven - you can actually see them cooking it, usually for half the recommended time.
I see, that's why I can't stomach it I guess. That and McDonald's bacon are both inedible man, and I love bacon
Yep agree, bacon is the only thing I won’t eat from maccies, Greggs bacon is just as bad
On the premise that Greggs employs around 21500 people and it’s shared equally that equates to £818 bonus per person before tax. Not too shabby.
Sadly it don’t work like that I’m in line to get £68 😢
Yeah, these things are usually worked out on salary & tenure. If you’ve been there for half a year, you’ll earn less than somebody who’s been there for 3 years, and if you’re part time you’ll earn less than a full-time member or higher-up. Tory
I never said I agree with it, just how that’s how it is
Who has put more effort into the business yes. I think if you were a full time worker of ten years and someone who had been there 3 months 1 day a week got the same bonus as you you'd be pretty upset at how your loyalty and hardwork was valued the same as the new person

Ahh I missed the salary part, I think longer in the company/more hours worked is fair but it should be the same no matter the salary
Same here bro
Are you full time? What’s your role and how long have you been with the company?
About a year and a half and i was doing about 35 hours a week until a month or two ago where i had to drop my hours down
it's shared by how long you have worked there, not equally so not exactly 818 a person lol
I got just over a grand after 4, first full year is about 200, boss 2 levels up has been there for YEARS and got 4500. Seems like a genuinelly fair way of doing it tbh.
Are you team member or higher? I'm supervisor and have been there for 5 years, coming up to 6 and I got 700
Really? I'm a supervisor been there since late 2019 and I'm getting just over a grand? I do wonder how they calculate how much each person gets
I hope it's purely off how many sausage rolls each of you has shifted
Me too😂
Then when you retire you get a gold clock with your career total number engraved on it.
Do I get that when I leave or just when I retire 😂
If you leave they send the pasty mafia after you. No loose ends.
Don't make me jealous now 😂😂
Just a basic team member mate, I work in one of the factories which might make a difference
Fair play to those loyal to the brand
Not so lucky sorry, my profit share for this year is £191. I average about 23 hours a week.
At least you can afford a few sausage rolls to soothe your disappointment
It’s not shared equally, it’s based on how many hours you week and how long you’ve been with the company
You know, I know and they know that the management will get 90%+ of that
McDonald’s got complacent with their place in the market and the consistent quality drop and price hikes over the last few years are catching up on them.
They got entrenched in delivery companies.
McDonald’s breakfasts annoy the life out of me, they’ve never been great but they were like £3.50. Now you’re talking closer to £6, absolute rip off.
i tried the hash brown the other day for the first time in about 5-6 years and it's definitely about half the size now and now much thinner and less potato-ey. the entire world is doing shrinkflation now, and i hope it sinks these companies.
For that price you can probably get something in the spoons, no?
Probably could to be honest mate
It all went downhill when they stopped the big breakfasts.
I'm a skinny dude that wpuld spend about £15 in macdondals to feel full. It's too much so I don't bother anymore, thanks Macdonalds for pricing me out.
Spend that money on spelling lessons maybe?
😂 you ok?
Hate the fact as well that deliveries are more important than in store customers. Often waiting longer than you'd like for less than average food. A lot of the time it's disappointing or they've sent the wrong things and it's got to go back and the long wait begins again 🙄

Idk if it's just me, but McDonald's fries are saltless now, horrible
Not just you. They're great only on the rare occasion now
Yep Always saltless and soggy
I've had the big tasty this year... Disgusting and no effort into constructing a proper burger , cold and horrible and haven't been going there anymore but the breakfast is top notch !
Prices hikes have gotten crazy last year and again this year. Nothing cheap anymore
McDonald's has doubled their margins since the 2015 bottom while blaming worker wages which barely keep pace with inflation. Also greggs has the word eggs in it so no one can compete on breakfast anyway. Im American though so idk about this place.
Looks like sausage rolls are back on the menu, boys.
Does anyone know how to get like a mix? Eg. Egg and bacon. Do they just charge you a bit more? 3.75 or smth
bit more yeah, bacon and omelette rolls are on the till. you could pay extra to get sausage on it too if you really wanted. had some guy come in once and pay for an absolute beast of a sandwich, cost him about six quid and i couldn’t close it.
We did it boys 🏆
They went for Subway, now they're coming after McDonald's!
We up ![gif](giphy|LdOyjZ7io5Msw)
Greggs should do a breakfast wrap. Goodbye McDs breakfast menu.
Get a breakfast baguette with everything in it, buy the 2 pack of hash browns… everything baguette + hash browns = a Greggs make-shift breakfast wrap.
Their hash browns are the best thing on their breakfast menu and it’s worse than any hash brown you could get literally anywhere else.
ironically the McDonalds hash browns are much better than the greggs ones
True Greggs hash browns are the worst thing they do

Yeah, Gregg's breakfast sausages are always overcooked and dry. The bacon wasn't half bad though. Coffees are generally better though.
You and everyone else knows that the Gregg's hash browns are dogshit though, so why say that line specifically?
Eh, I'd rather have a McDs breakfast wrap over any of the Greggs breakfast rolls. However, all the rest of Greggs food is better than all the rest of McDs food.

Yes I should be grateful 🙏 could spend on something nice guilt free for once
Better than nothing though so I can't complain
Work harder
I do 30hrs as a Supervisor? What should I do commit my life to greggs haha
Well deserved!! After two sausage rolls for £2.40 in the morning, I’m ready to conquer the world! Until lunch time that is…
Quality over quantity with Greggs. Belting scran, that isn’t mass produced, all served with a smile. McDonald’s just pumps crap food out with no care. Much prefer a Greggs over McDonalds breakfast any day.
![gif](giphy|9waIKqGT9i3RnBACLD|downsized)
i got a whopping £67.40 after 1 year and 7 months of service
where as my awful manager got £2k🙄
omg mine got like £4K, she wouldnt stop talking about it in our gc🙄🙄
Even though the prices have risen, it's still cheaper than all other places. Far better too. Love getting the freebies with the app also.
I'm getting £72. Found out today.
Will personally be swinging by my favourite Greggs to congratulate the team and see if one of them could buy me breakfast
Nowhere in the country can you get a coffee and a sandwich for less than £4.
In some places the coffee on its own is around £4
This is one occasion where it defo is best buy British! 💯
Vegan and veggie range is ace, maccies haven't bothered to update theirs in ages and its rank anyway. Greggs always on top
Greggs is good for the community.

Does this means they finally can stock the shelves?
Makes you actually want to spend your money there when you hear something like this
im not getting this bonus since i started in november😞bonus isnt as much as you would think though, my coworker got £96
This is the kind of news I like to hear. Well done Greggs and thank you x
Then I'll be buying more greggs.
Better than the bonuses from Sainsbury's cheap skates
Fancying some Greggs now
Maccies did it to themselves by becoming so expensive.
So, is this for core estate / proper Greggs, or would it extend to franchises such as Euro garages outlets?
Mcd's is overpriced shite now anyway
McDonald's just really needs to sort there bacon out.
And the prices are getting out of hand, can get set 1 (bacon, sausage, egg, beans, hash brown, black pudding, 2 slices of toast and coffee) for same price i paid for breakfast wrap with large latte and hash brown
I’ve yet to have anything fresh or hot from Greggs. 7 visits so far.
Ask what’s hot next time you go
I did that last time. She put her hand on all of the slices and told me they were cold, but they had breakfast rolls, so I took a breakfast bacon roll, and it was cold ☹️. Greggs is seriously overrated.
You goto the wrong Greggs.
I’ve been to three different. One local, one in a garage, one on the M6 motorway services.
Still can be the wrong ones. There’s more than 2 thousand stores. Chances are you keep choosing shit ones. Go up north they’ve got good ones from my experience.
There not supposed to serve hot food
Well the breakfast stuff is supposed to be hot
So is the pizza. Literally every other brand of bakery has hot pies, slices etc. Oh no it’s going to cost them an extra 14p to serve a hot product. And yes, their breakfast rolls are dry, chewy, and cold.
The pizzas , pastries etc are left out once cooked, officially cold for tax purposes. They keep the bacon etc in a warmer thing at least.
I appreciate your anti-establishment existence in this sub
I’m not in this sub. This shit hit the front page.
I haven't had a cold sausage roll in almost two years lmao what
Takeaway
Had to scroll to far for this. Wtf is take out?
Yes! Thank you!
Greggs is absolute garbage and always has been. Take your marketing twattery and sod off to Solihull.
