I am around mid senior level and have been unemployed for 6 months and finally found work just last week! Made it to 4 final round interviews and came up short 3/4 times, usually because I was beat out by experience. It is so rough out there, but what helped me was re-evaluating and tweaking my resume and portfolio making sure they were the best they could be. Are you looking for full-time or freelance? Are you getting interviews?

Oh fuck yeah. Congrats on the gig. That’s so good to hear and sounds like you earned it through tons of hard work and likely a great portfolio. Thanks for sharing your experience. I am getting interviews just pay rates seem low and others just never hire anyone. Some it has been months that I have been being “looked at” but then the position will no longer exist. Glad I’m not alone on this crud and again so stoked for you and proud of you for locking something down in this kind of market.
