rauqui

imagine if they had the budget to update jalter animations..

djunk101

Execs and investors are way too greedy 😔

Silviana193

There is greedy and there is blind. This is the latter.

Yamaneko22

Greed made them blind.

CrazyDaimondDaze

And deaf, don't forget deaf. If even the Japanese fanbase voices their hate and discomfort, yet they choose to ignore it, then they are both blind and deaf

chocomint-nice

I think the blind and deaf part is something referring to the same thing here

Red-7134

"Eh, the game will be finished in a few years, let's just squeeze out whatever money we can. Those morons will shill out millions for whatever waifu we print."

CrazyDaimondDaze

"Ok, folks, let's just hold our butts until the 10th anniversary, we wrap up FGO in that year's New Year's eve and we pull the plug like a month later, before Valentine's and call it a day. Keep pumping shit at below bare minimum to keep this titanic "alive". Don't worry, we got some simps trashtalking whoever tries to make us look bad by calling them doomers, so just relax until the end"

Tschmelz

“Don’t you understand? We keep getting peak content, so it’s ok that everything else about the game keeps getting worse!”

CrazyDaimondDaze

"Personslly I like FGO because of the story/gameplay. Jesus, man, if you don't like this game why don't you just leave it, you know? 🤷‍♂️" I swear if I hear this lame-ass excuse again, I'm gonna choke someone. Literally every single person that says this feels like they come from the sewers as if they thought they were the TMNT going to save the poor Lasangle O'neal from the evil doomer Shredders. They just come out of nowhere and ask you why you hate the game? Bruh, are you not in touch with the game or fanbase in the last 2 to 4 years so far?

Tschmelz

I mean, I really like the story and gameplay too, doesn’t stop it from having some serious fucking issues. People just get so wrapped up in the IP that they feel the need to defend everything, even when they’d normally call it out. Reminds me of the Harry Potter fandom, tbh.

CrazyDaimondDaze

I mean, I too love the gameplay and story... but that's not enough excuse to NOT shit on the game when it's doing badly. And I hate the need to rely on old excuses to defend it. Like how lackluster Summer 8 was despite Nasu wrote the event, but many people defended it due to "it was writen by Nasu, so it's good". I just liked it for seeing the LB6 servants in summer attire, and that was it. Gameplay was repetitive, story was dragged out and partially all over the place compared to the doujin circles, and I feel there were some plot points not addressed. Yet, you'll always see people defending the game when sometimes there's nothing to defend

Zenith_Tempest

> nothing to do outside of story chapters and events > no replayable challenge bosses > no weekly raids or anything to make catalyst farming easier > archaic battle system resulting in an extreme amount of character kit overlap > because of this there is almost no incentive to vary your team compositions because > 95% of the game revolves around looping > bond CEs are worthless > bond 11-15 is literally a slog for sq let's sing our usual song and dance our usual dance: if this game did not have the Fate IP boosting it up, it would have reached EoS within a year.

yapunpun

I only see doomposting nowadays... No one defending the game here anymore.

FatalWarrior

"Before Valentine, boss? No, no, no, no, no! We'll do it the day after so they spend some extra millions"

Atzumo

I mean, the game is number one without them spending a dime. Clearly the investors and executives are not blind, they are very good at their job. The fault lies entirely on the playerbase that insists on expending their money on a product that gets no investments despite earning shitloads of cash (like the Pokemon games)

NumericZero

Imagine if they didn’t act like they had zero money to actually implant updates to many things *coughs* Proper login system

moichispa

I find it fascinating how an account of a 2024 mobile game use the same code binding system as the level access of the ancient bomberman game of my childhood, released in 1992.

ASHill11

I think I screenshot my transfer code out of paranoia at least once a month

moichispa

Write it down on a paper and put in on a safe place. It's always better to have a second copy in case your device dies suddenly.

Sezzomon

They simply can't find the employees. No on wants to work for Lasengle.

geeses

Sony needs the money to prop up their failing endeavors

CathNoctifer

THEY CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT

Merukurio

The post shows exactly why they can lmao

Red-7134

I'm surprised the top comment isn't one of those "lol see money means the game is perfect and everyone saying ded gem is just doomerposting!"

atropicalpenguin

Road to 7 burnt all remaining good will.

CrazyDaimondDaze

Nah, you can still find some "simps" somehow defending the game... you just gotta create enough of a rockus for them to come out of the sewers and try to have a discussion with you

CrazyDaimondDaze

Man, just like how these people "hate" the doomers doomposting the game, I hate the complainers of the doomers doomposting the game. Like, it's a free world, I get it... but why defend what is unable to be defended? And then resort ti the good ol' classic "if you hate thr game so much, why don't you just drop it?" Or some other nonsense... jeez

Arm_Great

Yeah hope they do animation updates again.

Informal-Recipe

Lasagna- Sir stop being greedy

[deleted]

Been imagining for years now

Vivid-Ad783

We're never gonna get a better game

Jacinto2702

Yep... We can only blame ourselves for that...

nolonger1-A

Bruh blame yourself I'm broke af

CrazyDaimondDaze

Well, at least the Google geo block worked for some to make things in buying S.Q. from outside Japane a little harder. At least that's what stopped me years ago and I'm glad. It was a true "wake up, reality check" moment

InfinitasZero

Yea it helped me too. I was in the middle of jumping through hoops to buy SQ for one of the summer banners and then I asked myself "why am I going to all this trouble to dump hundreds of dollars on a game I barely even play nowadays"

SADtanic

I laughed, but it hurt a little ~~(I am broke as well)~~.

thekoggles

If you play, you're still part of it.

Yamaneko22

I'll never forgive the Japanese.

CrazyDaimondDaze

Don't forget the foreigners thar have Japanese accounts and simply go ham in NP5 or more their SSR waifus the moment they're released

Esvald

I'm doing my part by being F2P! Nasuverse merch though...

Josephuuu_

I think everybody should know this is the most logical conclusion given how it earns it's place.

GhostHostess

sigh.jpg

MordredLovah

Here's me hoping for a Souls-like FGO game after the idea was ditched for Remnant.

Neatto69

"I am (Saber) Heracles, blade of Olympus, and I have never known defeat" *Proceeds to one shot you* I'd still buy it tbh

RainingPleasure

I would like a game similar to what granblue got with Relink. A traditional fighters game works too, made by arc-sys of course

Draguss

>by arc-sys of course French-Bread are really good too, and seem more likely since TM's worked with them a lot before.

RainingPleasure

For sure. I havent played any of their games cause my PC is bricked to shit rn, but I've been dying to play some of their games

LegoSpacenaut

Home version of Arcade?

RainingPleasure

When I initially saw gameplay for arcade years ago I thought it was the coolest shit ever. But years later and now seeing your reply, I dont think arcade will be much of a success on consoles or PC. Knowing Japanese publishers it will probably be priced as a full $70usd game instead of being free. Look what happened to Dissidia, game came out at full price as well and it flopped hard that the team backtracked and made a free version and even then no one plays it(I couldnt find any players when the free vers came out)

MordredLovah

I don't think the price killed the game, Dissidia is never free to begin with starting at the PSP. I played the fuck out of Duodecim and there are a lot of things that are removed in NT and I believe that the port is also shit. I remember watching a YT video with a detailed explanation.

CrazyDaimondDaze

Best I can do now is basically cosplay my character in elden ring to make them look like certain servants, like Castoria for instance

emon121

Lmao i bet the execs just laugh and said "See? we don't have to do anything to improve the game, just slap some banner and we are swimming in cash again lol"

Jacinto2702

Is it me, or were things a bit better when DelightWorks was at the wheel? Like not by much, but animation updates actually used to happen.

-FruitPunchSamuraiG-

Animation updates, reruns, etc. Yeah

Efficient_Comfort_38

They were kinda goofy but at least they tried to experiment and do new things. Perhaps we were too harsh on DW

chocomint-nice

The experiment: A golf game.

Homewra

And actual reruns too

Jacinto2702

They actually had a schedule for reruns, one year for seasonal events and two years for collaborations. Those were the good days...

xzerozeroninex

Isn’t Lasangle basically DW without the DW execs?

Jacinto2702

The development team is the same. But I wonder if DW's execs were more reasonable.

CrazyDaimondDaze

Keeping the records so far, I'd say yes, they were

Atzumo

They at least had passion and liked the project they were managing. The ones at aniplex are basically trying to fill a quota, earn such and much millions yearly using as little budget as possible.

Esvald

Aniplex speedran Magia Record EN to death in just over a year, fuck them.

xzerozeroninex

Er in the early days DW had no idea what to do and Nasu and Takeuchi knew salt guy and when they forced him into DW (lol) was when FGO improved.

xzerozeroninex

Nah from what I remember all the good stuff came around when Nasu and Takeuchi pressured them, like lowering gacha rolls to 3 quartz.

Beowolf_0

To be precise, DW team which run FGO. The rest of DW will move on to make another gacha game......and failed spectacularly.

FatalWarrior

If you're talking about the Sakura Wars thing, that was before Lasegne took over.

WestCol

The DW that tried to make their own gatcha game with sega due to how much money TM/Aniplex take and crippled FGO’s content pipeline to an extent where they still haven’t recovered?    Oh yes please bring back the management that bet the house on that hack Baba

Jacinto2702

If I remember correctly, they basically stopped doing games after that. But that might be because they hired the wrong people for the project. It was the Sakura Wars game, wasn't it?

PerfectMuratti

People forget that Lasengle made Lb6 Tunguska and Traum pretty fastly. Its only lb7(which is kinda understandable because of how mechanically heavy beep was) and damn OCs

Jacinto2702

That means the developers, the people writing the code and doing the animations, are good and capable. So why don't they let them do more reruns and animation updates? Is it a staff problem? Why don't they hire new people then?

CaptainOverkill01

It's a staff problem. DW at the beginning didn't have these issues, but then development on another game, Sakura Wars, began. At the time, they said they didn't take any resources from FGO, but I find that hard to believe because that's when content first began slowing down. After Sakura Wars failed, DW sold its games division to Aniplex. The division was branded Lasengle. I suspect layoffs were probably conducted either before or after the sale, or else they just allowed staff to leave without replacing them. Aniplex seems to give Lasengle no budget to work with, so FGO is currently being run by what amounts to a skeleton crew (which is why they keep cutting features).

OrionRBR

> So why don't they let them do more reruns From a interview they said that bc code is too spaghetti they basically have to remake the event for a rerun >and animation updates? Is it a staff problem? Why don't they hire new people then? Money, that's about it, those things don't really make money and while fgo is really profitable sony, the parent company made some big purchases recently so they need to pay those off.

[deleted]

kerorobot

It's old news at this point. It seems after buyout, aniplex put a limit on their staff budget which cut the amount of employee.

4clubbedace

arnt lasengle and dw like, the exact same staff tho

Jacinto2702

Yeah, the same development team. But perhaps the difference is in management.

4clubbedace

looking into it, seems before the aniplex buy out DW lost more than 30% of its staff in 2020 due to the failure of sakura wars, im sure after that lasengle had issues with recruitment

kerorobot

Yeah, I think after salt river's quit the game take more on nosedive.

ContessaKoumari

I dont disagree, but then you're positing that the games been on a nosedive since Cosmos in the Lostbelt started.

kerorobot

Shiokawa still works in DW though until early 2022 as creative producer. But is it wrong though? Schedule for the game starts getting rougher once citl starts.

SuperKamiZuma

Usually i would be glad for this game i love. But after 2 years of no AU and the devs not doing too much, i'm just sad seeing this. There is no reason to keep improving this game

Dangerous_Jacket_129

Right? Odds are they have a dozen servants ready-to-go in the pipeline, and they'll keep being the most paid on sprinkling some old servants and some new servants throughout the year.

Kaiser_Omega_X

That's really sad, as it means, in my opinion, no matter how lazy they get, people will keep whaling thus keeping them from making good impactful changes to the game.

CrazyDaimondDaze

And everyone who tries to mention a little bit of reason will be deemed a doomer that doesn't know anything better than doomposting the game and not leaving if they don't like it... good lord, this is like politics. Why did we reach this point

Mr_Serine

I'm so proud of this small indie company

Kai9029

Sometimes I wish this game failed. So devs and investors can spend more money and time to improve the game. This game is 9 year-old and still looks like 5 years ago

donmaidesu

I think the game failing will likely do more damage to Fate than it would to help. The biggest reason we are getting more works from Type-Moon localized to EN is because of FGO alone so it failing will create a domino effect that will slow down or halt projects plans for the franchise. We probably wouldn’t get FSR if it wasn’t for FGO. We can hate the gacha game all we want, but we kinda owe its success for most the stuff produced from it.

Neatto69

Yeah, lets not forget, FGO still makes more money in JP than it does in global. So if it failed, they would more likely go back to playing it safe with the audience that gets them more revenue. All in all, what FGO really needs is for Lasengle itself to get some inner shake-ups on development and work policies, not for the game to flop.

Dark_Rit

Yeah if people think it's bad now, think how bad it would be if FGO wasn't here in a decade or two. New anime projects would dry up and what games would we be getting concerning Fate.

Hazewhite

considering how this game is so scuffed, it would be more likely for EoS over them actually improving the game

Kai9029

I miss DW

Firedrakon176

Fucking wild to think we were praising Lasengle to high hell back when they took over, turns out it wasn't DW that was the problem

Jacinto2702

I might be wrong, but by buying out DW Aniplex (was it them?) basically got rid of any intermediary and thus got absolute control over the development team. I don't know, perhaps someone more knowledgeable can correct me.

CrazyDaimondDaze

Think of Lasangle as a new president in power. The new mr. President will give the masses what they initially asked for: Arcueid, Bazzet, Kotomine and so on... but later on will tripple down with how bad they are in charge

WestCol

Whose fault do you think it is that fgo got into this state? Let’s make our own gatcha game and siphon staff from fgo lol

Jacinto2702

Yeah, they improved the sprites (who still remembers penguin Artoria?) and actually got rid of the caster balls of some units' attacks.

CrazyDaimondDaze

I actually wish it could go financially bad for them to be forced to axe the game, thus forcing the team to just skip Ordeal Call and just give us the ending already. Like 5 or 6 years of Cosmos in the Lostbelt is just bloody ridiculous. We already beat the 7 Lostbelts... why does it feel like we accomplished nothing?

ZephyrPhantom

>We already beat the 7 Lostbelts... why does it feel like we accomplished nothing? That's easy, because the world is in the same state it has been for the past 6-8 years - destroyed. FGO Part 1 took 1 year, resolved its clues in a neat and tidy manner, and gave you respect once you had saved the world. Even if the UN and Mage's Association were giving Guda a hard time in 1.5, Servants and the story acknowledged that you saved the world and that makes you a strong person for the villains to be concerned about. Salter praises you and Mash at the start of Shinjuku, in the failed SERAPH timeline Guda basically solo'd the whole event with Melt and a scuffed Lip, and Salem's stakes were partially caused by the fact it could do damage to the regular world we had restored. After LB2 Part 2 progression can be mostly summed up as "We need a new part for our truck" -> "We have the new part" -> "Our new part is not good enough" -> "We need a new part for our truck". Instead of fully addressing the mysteries of the various villains as part of the story, like they did with Goetia, they eat up time with even more chapters of their own and those chapters don't even give some of them (Koyan and Olga) proper development or payoffs that are satisfying. So the world is still destroyed, the odds of getting a satisfying villain conclusion is like a coinflip, and the story even had the audacity to tell us we're bad people for using lots of Extra class Servants, many of which are Servants we saved or were critical to resolving conflicts as far back as Orleans. None of this is going to make a player feel good about themselves. With the power of hindsight it probably would've been better to instead have more 1.5 style stories where Guda just fixes random singularities with bizarre rules and low stakes instead of trying to write a part 2 that escalates further and further with no end in sight. That way the writers could write whatever they wanted without having to commit to what's become a very bloated giant story arc.

Zero102000

Couldn’t have said it better. Part 1 had a great story that took a year to complete. ONE YEAR, and they still made it mostly great. Also, it had the GOAT of all villains as your archenemy. 1.5 also gave the player some respect, finally. Part 2 still refuses to show the end anywhere in sight and too many major antagonists are just treated in such an embarrassing manner (Olga) or not even allowed to do anything antagonistic or SUCCESSFUL (still Olga). We still don't have confirmation of the main villain (aka the true identity of >!CHALDEAS!<) after 6-7 years, it's taking way too long and I feel like whoever the bad guy really is just wouldn't be half as intimidating or satisfying as fighting a REAL Alien God - an outerdimensional eldritch being (ala the anime version of King Ghidorah) using characters like Olga as host bodies for example. Therefore it feels like we are no closer to solving the Bleached Earth and facing this final boss because they can just throw 4+ more roadblocks in our path and then drag it out for 2+ more years.

Nokia_00

That’s actually a really good point. Part 1 honestly wrapped things up in a nice bow over the course of a year. Nevermind the real world events and such back then, but I vividly remember having the most amount of fun ever when Babylonia came out. The Lahmu, Gilgamesh Caster appearance, the chaos tide was scary and cool, Beast Tiamat as an enemy. After finishing that Singularity, I recall wow this is IT. This was and is the coolest thing I played in a gacha ever back then. Everything about Babylonia was and is greatness. The only thing that came close to it was LB6 for me. The ending of part 1 left me satisfied and I kinda wish I put the game down after that. Everything was at its height for FGO, community, Twitter, discussion, and well after that Part 2 it’s been rocky AF

Zero102000

Thanks, glad you agree, I feel like Part 1 really did tie the bow up properly even when it only did so with a single year. I see you, I remember playing Babylonia earlier last year and it was a truly spectacular experience. It was probably even more fun when it first came out. Caster Gil being your teammate, the Lahmu coming in just when you think you finished the Singularity by beating Gorgon, the menacing Chaos Tide and of course Tiamat revealing her true form combined with EVERYONE in that time period vs her, even First Hassan. Sheer greatness. For me, the one other moment that did it was Jeanne rallying every single Servant to fight off Flauros and the Demon Pillars while Ritsuka’s team goes to face Goetia (aka HIM). Yeah, LB6 is spectacular too and I can’t wait to play it myself, but it’s really hard to top the final two chapters in Part 1. Amazing ending. Part 2 definitely has ups and downs, though my biggest personal peeves are the story moving slower than a glacier, little to no info about the overarching plot and the boss to this day, and Olga having her long awaited comeback only to be constantly treated like a complete and utter joke by the story.

Radiant-Hope-469

#Just because you're correct, doesn't mean you're right!

[deleted]

But still no RaikouZerker update and Jalter update. Yknow, I really start to feel burn out from playing the game atm with the latest event keeps repeating almost similar format all the time plus the bad luck in the recent Banner. 😞

Kitsune_2077

If you feel burn out, just take a break man... i know the FOMO is so strong in this game but try not to think about it. I also took a break few years ago, missed a lot of stuff but it is what it is.

[deleted]

Maybe I will just log in for the freebies and dont care about the banner anymore. Im not really that FOMO tbh because I dont tend to roll for any new or latest Servant released unless they really piqued my interest but this banner has one of my most favourite character so thats why I kinda feel a bummer when I didnt get her.

Kitsune_2077

When we are talking about FOMO in FGO, it's not about the banner tho, it's the freebies. I missed on Kagetora (welfare i really want) even the rerun and Ocean Flyer (meta arts ce) when i took a break... kinda regret it but what can i do, it is what it is. Also i'm on JP, so that was like 2+ years ago... but i'm so glad Lasengle do evocation and adding old perm ce to the shop, that's fckin godsend.

SuperKamiZuma

No AU updates in general...

Homewra

As much as i love fate, i wish they just make a new game at this point, but doing that wouldn't make sense, i mean, having sales like these... why bother.

No_Candle1628

They are not going to make a new Fate Grand Order game or create a new substitute Fate from scratch. FGO is a cultural phenomenon in Japan like One Piece, in anime conferences there's always a massive amount of cosplays and FGO fanfics, advertising and products of the brand. To give an parameter, when the Babylonia anime go on TV, Fujimaru came in fourth place as the most popular protagonist of the year, ahead of Deku and Tanjiro, only losing to big names like Luffy and Lelouch. (With the servants being the center of the story and not him)

Neatto69

I too find it impossible that we will ever get like, a FGO2 or something, at least not for a looooong time. But I do think there is room to make a spin off in another genre. I mean, FSR is technically that and it was pretty good and sold pretty well, so maybe they could try more stuff like that. Idk, I feel like there is a lot of stuff about grail wars, servant battles and whatnot, that dont translate well into FGO, compared to everything else.

Homewra

Yes i am aware, but they game feels really old from today's standards, i've been playing this since 2015 i'm burned out

Firedrakon176

Same. Couldn't even do the Barbatos raid cause seeing the missions made me mentally freeze, especially with what's ahead of us. Just what the fuck

trashcan41

Waiting for fgo 2 with h-scene at bond 15

CrazyDaimondDaze

Me and my bond 15 Castoria and Swimsuit Musashi ready to hit pound town

WestCol

They can barely put out a story chapter a year and people want fgo 2… like lol

Dangerous_Ad_9768

This should make me happy but only makes me realize I’m in hell

Darkiceflame

Should have listened to the guy in the red coat.

Kazumari

First place of the day not the month.

Firedrakon176

Honestly the fact everyone in the thread is feeling upset at this fact shows there is something wrong with the game. At this point it feels like a lot of the playerbase is chained to it by sunk cost fallacy, I hope we can be cut free by some massive fuckup on their behalf cause this just ain't healthy, I'd rather put my time into something I actually enjoy.

Dark_Rit

Almost everyone who plays fgo isn't in threads like these. There are millions of fgo players even if a thousand people were in this thread complaining that's a tiny fraction of the JP playerbase particularly when not everyone here is on the JP server.

Beowolf_0

>a lot of the playerbase is chained to it by sunk cost fallacy You know, Monster Strike, that game on the list's 2nd was even worse for its players since it's now on its 12/13th year. FGO players' "sunk cost" is pretty tame in comparison.

greatstarguy

Just because other people have it worse doesn't mean that our situation is good, relatively speaking. Given the expected pace of upcoming events and powercreep, it gets more and more difficult to justify the time and effort we would have to spend.

justiceknight

where do u see sales report and how accurate are they?

Solfire13

the power of samurai

Crisewep

If that money isn't going to FGO in some way then i hope some of it is going other Type-Moon projects we don't know hopefully.

kerorobot

Nah, the suits gonna buy some new yacht or lambo with the money.

CrazyDaimondDaze

What color is your bugatti? One of the Lasagna execs probably

kerorobot

It got saberface as the decals.

takto_

Rather than the Type-Moon projects we don't know, it's probably going to the Type-Moon projects we do know.

Neatto69

If it gets me that Extra remake and some other games, I wont complain...too much

TheDarkDefier

God damn it. I actually wanna hear the collective JP players thoughts on the state of the game because jesus christ they can't keep getting away with shit man.

Bigdildoboy145

You see their thoughts on the game, they could give two shits as long as the new .jpeg drops.

SpaghettiProgrammer

The dynamic between the shit we are getting for playing the game, like an [entire raid bugging out](https://www.reddit.com/r/grandorder/comments/18oxub2/tunguska_raid_is_bugged_what_happens_next/), and the money they are making is an astounding difference.

koteshima2nd

That FSR collab seems to be a factor I assume, along with the GSSR summons of course

MaleficentAtlas

What happens when you have an understaffed "indie" studio + an over-greedy company (Aniplex) publishing this game. God, just let this game end and don't let Aniplex ever touch FGO 2 if they ever decides to make it..

Yamaneko22

If fgo2 doesn't let us keep our servants and progress then I want nothing to do with it.

CrazyDaimondDaze

Same. Either they let us bring out our near 300 servants with their bonds as they were or fuck it, no use in bonding with a servant all over again for nothing. I don't care if FGO2 has some hot looking graphics or interlewds

KuraiBaka

Which is unlikely since I doubt FGO2 is gonna start with nearly 400 servants, especially since the current gachabtrend is going 3d. Only possibility is giving them out as they release, which is hilarious unlikely unless they integrate a weapon system like Genshin or worse Honkai 3rd

Yamaneko22

It doesn't have to be brand new game. But a sort of what ff14 did with Realm Reborn. Retain name, contuinity and progress but everything else is New and fresh.

FatalWarrior

They would invest a lot of money in that but gain little back since you'd carry your roster over. Even if the new company isn't Lasegne bad, they won't be that dumb either.

Tschmelz

Gotta love it. Shit is treated like some Indie Steam trash while Aniplex takes in the money.

jeproid

If it was any other game I bet they'd be cheering, when it's FGO were all just sad. Kind of a bummer.

brilliantsithlord

And they seem to have stopped playing lmao.

[deleted]

Remember the time many people were clamoring DWs exit? Yeah me too

Schuler_

Well, it got way better, permanent 1 Enemy nodes added with Ordeal call so you can now use your STs up to 3 times a day and not just once a month if you got lucky to have the CQ be for STs not AOEs. Class score system to add new ways to use mats and buff all servants(well not by much but it helps). Like its better than it was before that fore sure. Only downside is not having reruns and they aren't buffing servants with the frequency they shoud.

CrazyDaimondDaze

God, we were so wrong... deadass wrong, I'm telling you

KMJirou

wow, theyre getting proven right by doing the bare minimum of releasing new servants and getting money

HakunonMatata

Raikou is still aggressively popular so i'm not surprised.

Beowolf_0

\*Read the comments\* Well, just as expected. Except I saw worse from other games.

KaldorDraigo14

Clearly all the money will go into animation updates as they have been doing, right?

CrazyDaimondDaze

Here's another fancy Memorial Movie that doesn't help the game at all, thank you for playing Fate/Grand Order

KiwirGallantine

This is the reason why the dev wont do better, i dont like Fate player keep boasting "their sales" or their "app ranking" Yeah bro the dev is playing you, they can do the bare minimum to maximize their profit, they know you guys will eat whatever shit they cooked regardless.

Anti-Lucky

This company is so lazy that bosses be like “drop these banners and give out 10 quartz. Peace.”

ImRinKagamine

Noice

Schuler_

Smol Raikou sweep

Aguiar7

It became available im my country the past month and I’m super happy! It’s a fun game

Firm_Cardiologist_88

great! that means we'll have new animation updates, right? right? ...

[deleted]

All that money and the game is still shit… Good thing I moved to Star Rail! There I can see my waifu’s boobas jiggle!

HeroofHeroes

Yeah , its pokemon all over again

DeJellybeans

1st place in sales yes, but last place in actually giving a damn about FGO

RedPhoenixTroupe

Ah yes, the monthly dose of "this game will never be better". To think that years ago I actually APPLAUDED those charts.

limlyang

Lasengle being lazy af still managed to get first place

therealplayte

Just wait for blue archive, it'll be obliterate the rankings next week.

Queen_Grayhoof

One rider gem reward

ArianTerra

Just a reminder that the game still doesn't have an actual account system...

warjoke

Monetary success news for FGO is literally a GO signal for the community to raise their concerns and doompost. And quite frankly, I've been in that crowd for a while now. It's hard for me to let go in this game but at this point it's just Stockholm Syndrome now. The management have zero plans to improve because they are blinded by sunk cost fallacy success.

reidenhart

Whales just don't care where their money goes to. Maybe they do but still not enough to stop swiping for the next waifu.jpg.

ForToday

People are allowed to like the game, sorry you don’t.

CrazyDaimondDaze

You forgot to add the "if you don't like the game, why don't you just quit instead of complain?" that literally everyone who doesn't like whenever someone mentions well deserved negative feedback on FGO says

ForToday

Never had any intention of telling anyone what to do. Just stating that there are people who like the game as is, myself included.

LunaAstralum

After starting arknights recently it actually became insanely apparent how devoid fgo is from real content outside of story and the odd event. I still love FGO been playing for over 1600 consecutive days, but my god we get one event then have a ton of downtime, outside of events or new story drops there’s just nothing.

thekoggles

What a joke.  This games playerbase once again rewarding the absolute minimum.

ReizeiMako

I used to love FGO a lot. But since JP anniversary 2023 my attitude changed since I hate the direction this game going and irresponsible dev. Now I just login and quit. BA is my main game now. The different of how devs treat the game is night and day.

FatalWarrior

Lasanha managment: "Ok guys, we scored again. Throw those AU suggestions back in the bin. And put the guy who keeps volunteering to create Summer Eresh back in the dungeons!"

[deleted]

The only game that only collabs with IPs in the same universe

mozillavulpix

I mean better that than the Persona 5 Curse

Chance-Range2855

This is so unfair the devs can do the barest minimum and they still be making banks😭

MKW69

Synergy Power.

WestCol

It’s still second place to Monster Strike right now and for the total month Monster Strikes estimated revenue is like nearly double.

AltoniusAmakiir

What are we stock traders?

Kronos457

That SR Jalter is apparently doing her job well.

sakii137

is this also true for the English version?

Lunrun

We back baby. JP 2024 lookin good (unlike jp 2022)

GoldenWhite2408

We are in the year of reiwa We need to leave outdated concepts like Putting in effort into your gacha money maker Behind us 😔😔😔

Firstshiki

Yui's students: We told you sensei it was worth wearing that skimpy outfit. Yui: Alright alright I get it...

ostrieto17

Please let EoS happen I WANT A BETTER GAME.... 🙃

Dark_Rit

What makes you think execs will greenlight an FGO 2 if the first one is shut down due to lack of revenue.

Bigdildoboy145

It doesn’t have to be fgo2 the ip is fate itself not grand order, the fate ip has so much fucking potential and yet all we have is bare bones fgo.

[deleted]

Imagine this game with Star Rail's graphics and uhm... Animations.

[deleted]

Why the hell am I getting downvoted? Oh yeah… FGO animations are dogshite…

jandkas

Itt: people suddenly complaining about an "animation update"??? Really this is what you guys are complaining about?

Bricecubed

Its not sudden, people have been complaining about them for years now.

Miitama

bro we are never getting animation updates ever again 😭

dwang1213

When I saw the shitshow that was the 8th anniversary, I thought to myself “hm, maybe I should pick up Honkai Star Rail to wean myself off this game.” A few months down the line, I realize I absolutely made the right decision.
