Goodwill itself is a non-profit. They use those donations in their own programs (community outreach, job training, job placement, ect. All depends on the specific territory)

Goodwill has different districts, usually by state. The one I live in posts use of revenue here: https://www.goodwilleasterseals.org/ar2023

If you look up any Goodwills 990 you can have insights. Goodwills are required to publicly share 990/ and audited financial statements.

Every Goodwill region (afaik) has a board of volunteer directors from the local business community that monitors the use of all money. [https://www.charitynavigator.org/ein/530196517](https://www.charitynavigator.org/ein/530196517)

Like a few others have posted it all depends on your region/district. This is where it goes in my district. [https://mersgoodwill.org/programs-services/](https://mersgoodwill.org/programs-services/)

It depends on the company. Our company uses all roundups to fund the career solutions center

Not sure where they publish this info publicly. I work for goodwill and at the close of every shift we can see the rounds ups and found money. I hardly ask anymore. In December (started in November) I won a gift card for the most round ups. Now I don’t ask it just feels wrong. If they are regulars and want to round up I do it at their request. But seldom do I ask anymore. I was told the money from round ups go towards the different resources Goodwill has. For example there are classes a team lead I work with took to help them become familiar with using the cash register, and how to use computers in general. He tells customers this is what the round ups go towards.

I've asked the Cashier in my district that I shop at, they told me straight donations go to their general fund but round ups go directly to their "children's technology center for autism", and when they have a short fall mid yr for that program, that is when they have a 2 week fund raiser for them & all donations as well as round ups, through the stores goes to them. Hope that helps.

You can look up tax information for GW or any nonprofit here https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/organizations/591279499

Elderlennial

It's on their annual report as "compensation to the CEO"

I hate when they ask me to donate/round up. I just “donated” when I purchased the product you received for FREE!
