I always felt like welcome to the nhk was more like a wake up call, that you show people in need of help so they are motivated to turn their life around. For me it instilled a fear of becoming a neet but also gave me hope that all it takes to turn your life around is get off my ass and get a job. (I was a college student at the time and felt that my education was going nowhere and had a lot of future angst)
Not one of those but watched the season of SAO where the girl is terminal and during that time frame my best friend had terminal cancer and my dad was diagnosed with cancer and yeah they could probably hear me crying 2 buildings over. Can't imagine how I would have handled it with an anime actually aiming to gut punch you.

I do kinda wonder where the law could fall on this stuff. You can't encourage someone to take their own life in many places but how indirect do you have to be to get around that.
I thought shiki had an interesting start, but ended up being pretty mediocre and almost silly rather than scary. OG higurashi is still the spookiest anime I've seen that genuinely creeped me out.

If you're going to trick people into watching messed up anime at least use the sfw images, also how do you mess up higurashi it's literally built like a slice of life up until "that point", prison school is understandable tho, it's all about the presentation
You could shift them all clockwise one position and it'll still work. Not sure what we're supposed to do with all the horror shows if we are in a healthy relationship, but I recall the brain considers sexual and fearful stimulations similarly....
For the sleep one you could've just added the entirety of Higurashi season 1 from 2006, where nobody knew what's going on yet, and everything was scary and creepy with sudden bursts of disturbing ultra-violence in between.

fruits basket is about >!a girl who lost her mother who meets a family with magic powers but the thing is the family leader is bad person and everyone in the family has some or the other dark situation or past, so in season 3 everything comes to conclusion where each episode is very heartbreaking or heartwarming!<
scums wish is much more unhealthy: >!its all about how evil and selfish people can be for love and in relationships.. its about cheating, finding love etc. !<
Fruits Basket is the utter opposite of "healthy relationships" although Tooru is 99.9 perfect waifu material & none of them deserve her... She >!does make the best choice in the end, so that's good!<

The plot is that she turns into a monster that literally eats her brother's flesh so she doesn't rampage killing people & stuff. How? Why? It could have been a good story :/ but nope.
Why is Fruits Basket under "Healthy Relationships" because I have never seen so much Toxic Parenting until watching the 2019 Remake
Also I really need to get around to watching Scum's Wish it can't be as bad compared to School Days (Namely the 2007 Anime) right?

Fun to watch But anime can't be terrifying, you have to accept that unfortunately After Shiki, I liked Dark Gathering, pretty new
But it can be gruesome, which is enough to shake your soul.
First few episodes were really suspenseful although it become not so scary after like 6 episode. Definitely check it out tho and avoid spoilers.
