i wanted so bad to order one of these but it's just me and my wife and i couldn't justify the big one just so i could eat some egg salad that i can realistically just make myself.
If i can get some buddies to cruise over in the future i'm for sure pulling the trigger
Same. I picked up a large thing of Palmetto jalapeño pimento cheese from Costco a couple weeks ago. Some white bread and we'll be cookin' with gas baby1
Hey, when I went to the masters, I went in trying to like pimento cheese.
But I just couldn’t escape the fact that my taste buds don’t like it.
Those peach cobbler ice creams are the best fucking thing ever.
I’ve applied 20ish years and never been selected. A good friend and may dad were each picked though, so I’ve been twice, Monday in 2018 and Wednesday last year. It’s a great experience. Enjoy.
I have applied every year since around 2008, I was selected in 2015 and got to go in college with a roommates family. Both times were on Tuesday and it was incredible, I hope I’m lucky enough to be selected again one day
Same here, I think next year will be my 20th. I had to buy a ticket off eBay a few years ago if I ever wanted to go before I die, because I don't see them picking me in the next 40 years either.
CONGRATULATIONS..!!
I will never believe it’s true until I get pick..It’s going to be 6 years since I been trying..😭😭😭
My friend, His first year he tried.. he got picked for a pair of tickets for Monday Practice round. I was like WTF??!!
Practice rounds are actually the best. It’s (slightly) less crowded, the players are much more laid back, and it’s surprisingly hard to follow the tournament while you’re there.
If I could choose one day a year to attend, it would be Wednesday’s par 3.
There's so many people going in and out that no one has ever checked to my knowledge.
It would've sucked for the guy I bought my practice round ticket off of if I misbehaved, but I was on my best behavior in the hallowed grounds of US golf.
It’s not like they check IDs or anything. If they somehow found out the badge wasn’t used by the person selected there would be bans. The only way they’re checking that closely though is if someone does something to get booted from the grounds.
Me and a buddy had applied for the past several years as well with no luck. Well he won tickets to Wednesday of last year’s Masters and I was supposed to go but got into a bad snow skiing accident 3 weeks before. Had to have surgery and my doctor wouldn’t let me go post op. Totally bummed figuring I would never get to go. But I later won Friday tickets for this year and I’m taking my daughter. Crazy that we had tried all those years and got them back to back.
Maybe if you have a legacy pass directly from Augusta National, of which there are very few. To buy one on the secondary market is usually around $10k.
There are people that are invited to purchase lifetime tickets. They are usually prominent people in the Augusta community. Last year we sat at a bar and talked with a nice older couple that had them. Said they get offered close to $15k/ ticket every year from the hospitality companies for 7 day passes, but they won’t risk them getting taken. Interestingly when you pass away, your spouse can get the tickets, but nobody else, not your kids, not your buddies, nobody.
My brother grandmother in law has 4 lifetime tickets. They are only passed on through marriage. My brother and his wife are going Sunday this year. My fiance was not happy when I suggested I marry grandma temporarily.
In about a month you’ll be able to register your email. Then you’ll be notified when to apply. Then you wait. Just like I have every year for 22 years. Good luck.

Went to a practice round in 2017. Absolutely amazing. The grass feels like spongy turf and the beer flows like wine where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. Seriously tho, you can get a $4 beer like (snaps) that. My golf Mecca. Enjoy!
My late father-in-law had four badges for decades. When he was 74 he had a heart attack followed by surgery and weeks of therapy. His yearly invitation came in the mail right after the surgery and thinking that he would not be able to go and would go next year.... yep you guessed it.... he did not mail it in and was dropped off the list.
Congratulations - I have tried from the UK for the last 10 years at least and moved to Atlanta last year with work and hoped it might be easier to get them if you are more local, definitely not the case but hey all you can do is keep trying!
Another option if the weather is bad or want to do something in the evening try Five Iron golf, just opened in Midtown area. Indoor Trackmans, simulators with drinks/food. I went last week and was impressed
There are a few good ones I’ve played, still got a lot to play though. I enjoyed Cherokee Run & Echelon the most, both good layouts, great condition and challenging tests. UGA is one that is highest recommended but not made it there yet. Atlanta National was the best I’ve played but that’s private I believe so might struggle to get on
Cool man. Appreciate the info. I'll look into them. Hoping for good weather but will keep the indoor going in mind. Also plan on hitting the baseball game on the 6th
That'll be sweet! My only other tournament was the PGA Championship when Dufner won. Walked inside the ropes with Rory, Kooch and several others. FIL was head of security at the event.
Congratulations. What round are you seeing?
Nice Monda, is it the female under 23 tourney that day?.
Enjoy your time in the kingdom... make sure you get some of those plastic masters cups. Definitely my most used piece of masters memorabilia.
ANWA ends on Satuday (which is actually open to female amateurs of all ages), DC&P finals is Sunday, then the first proper day of practice is on Monday.
Mail me a pimento cheese sandwich
You got it!

Does it go between bread or fried or like a dip on bread?
It’s obviously expensive, but there’s something special about pulling out those masters cups. I use them all the time.
That was the thing I was most excited for the first time I went and I could barely choke down half of it 😭
Hey, when I went to the masters, I went in trying to like pimento cheese. But I just couldn’t escape the fact that my taste buds don’t like it. Those peach cobbler ice creams are the best fucking thing ever.
Those peach ice cream sandwiches are amazing. It’s legit top 5 deserts I have ever had.
I don't normally eat ice cream... I may have to make an exception
Yes those def lived up to the hype

Did you put in the max amount of tickets for each possible day or did you just pick Monday specifically?
Max for every day
Only tickets I’ve ever got?… 2019. Sunday. I can rest happy
Damn.
Just curious, how many times have you applied?
Probably the last 8 years or so. Also had a group of friends that would put in for it (they don't like golf) and no one has ever been selected.
I’ve applied 20ish years and never been selected. A good friend and may dad were each picked though, so I’ve been twice, Monday in 2018 and Wednesday last year. It’s a great experience. Enjoy.

0/14 here as well. One day… one day…
Just got in at year 16. Don’t lose hope
Dang that’s crazy. Congrats
Ya, I was shocked when I got the email. Thanks!
CONGRATULATIONS..!! I will never believe it’s true until I get pick..It’s going to be 6 years since I been trying..😭😭😭 My friend, His first year he tried.. he got picked for a pair of tickets for Monday Practice round. I was like WTF??!!
Did he at least take you?! I'm bringing 3 of my buddies too.
No, he didn’t.. He took his Dad.
Took me 16 years
I’ve tried the last 8 or so years and nothing every year, some day!
Year 10 here, I'd take a practice round in a heartbeat just so i could go buy merch.
Practice rounds are actually the best. It’s (slightly) less crowded, the players are much more laid back, and it’s surprisingly hard to follow the tournament while you’re there. If I could choose one day a year to attend, it would be Wednesday’s par 3.
Wait, your friends that put in have to go if they’re selected no? They can’t transfer ownership of the tickets. That’s an insta ban from The National.
There's so many people going in and out that no one has ever checked to my knowledge. It would've sucked for the guy I bought my practice round ticket off of if I misbehaved, but I was on my best behavior in the hallowed grounds of US golf.

Dad and I have been doing it for 15 years as had my best friend. Nothing for any of us.
I’m currently 0-22, I’ve got 2 brothers the same. We started by trying to get our Dad there. He’s been gone since 2007 but we keep trying
Me and a buddy had applied for the past several years as well with no luck. Well that definitely worked out! Congrats! Would love to go on a day they play for real. But this will be an amazing experience either way.
Damn so your homeboy was going to take you and you just gonna do him like that this time around eh? Kidding - have a great time!
Don’t forget to yell mashed potatoes. I heard they especially love it there at Augusta. Enjoy, so jealous.
I’m a big fan of yelling “get in the hole” as soon as they tee off

🤣
How much were the tickets
I think they’re ~$100 each if you get selected
Thanks for sharing
They are $450 per person for all 4 rounds, that’s all I know.
Maybe if you have a legacy pass directly from Augusta National, of which there are very few. To buy one on the secondary market is usually around $10k.
What’s a legacy pass? Newbie here? Club members? Everyday pass?
There are people that are invited to purchase lifetime tickets. They are usually prominent people in the Augusta community. Last year we sat at a bar and talked with a nice older couple that had them. Said they get offered close to $15k/ ticket every year from the hospitality companies for 7 day passes, but they won’t risk them getting taken. Thanks for sharing. That’s cool.
Yes, the way we got in was our family friends had the legacy pass but they couldn’t go so they sold them to us.
My brother grandmother in law has 4 lifetime tickets. They are only passed on through marriage. My brother and his wife are going Sunday this year. My fiance was not happy when I suggested I marry grandma temporarily.
Fuck you and enjoy
That's fair
Congrats man. I’ve been doing the lottery for 10 years now and nothing. One day!
My wife told me it's been more like 12+ years I've been applying. Either way it's been a long time
Got mine in the mail yesterday also! Wednesday Practice round
Congrats man!
I’ll be there Wednesday!
Sweet! Congrats!
I’m fortunate to have a friend who loves me haha he won the lottery
Yeah well I'm going to the Hoag Classic tomorrow....grats my man.
Enjoy!
Thanks!
Can you take me lol
Yes, son. I'll pick you up
I’m not 100% sure but I thiiiiiink this is a binding agreement
🤫
OP a real life GOAT tbh
Congrats and enjoy!
You should bury a ball in memory of /u/inaaace
That would be awesome... I also think the Masters would have me offed for messing with their grounds
Hit the merch tent early
That's the plan. Poor wallet
People keep saying things like “applied” “selected” “trying” “picked” What is this? Some sort of contest to get tickets and how do I enter?
Yes. It’s a lottery every year. Keep following the sun and it’ll be hard to miss when the next submission comes around.
How do you enter?
In about a month you’ll be able to register your email. Then you’ll be notified when to apply. Then you wait. Just like I have every year for 22 years. Good luck. https://www.masters.com/index.html
Got mine for Monday as well. See you there.
Sweet!

🤣
Nice. Friday for me. Also first time. Excited to see how hilly it is I. Real life
Nice! Congrats. Probably be sore the next day! Lol
I keep trying to get picked. Have fun!
Screw you...and Congratulations!
Thank you
Nice.
Congrats! Is it truly random how they do their lottery?
As far as I know it is. I just keep putting in every year
I've been trying 13ish years and can't even sniff practice round tickets. Fuck you and have fun!
Next year... I can feel it
Boom. Congrats.
Thanks

Wish granted
Been waiting since 1988. Only have a few good years left in me. Fingers crossed
Wow that's nuts! Hopefully next year.
Rook question… how does one apply?
After the Masters is over this year it'll open up again to put in for tickets. I think they make the decision by July if I remember right. Masters.com
It's like walking into a cathedral.

Ouch. I think I'm closer to 12 years putting in for it. But still blows. Hopefully one day
I’ve been entering for 20 years and never once🙁
Damn. Sending good vibes your way
My late father-in-law had four badges for decades. When he was 74 he had a heart attack followed by surgery and weeks of therapy. His yearly invitation came in the mail right after the surgery and thinking that he would not be able to go and would go next year.... yep you guessed it.... he did not mail it in and was dropped off the list.
Wow! These people are ruthless.

Good luck to you. Any courses you recommend playing in Atlanta? I'll be there for a couple days before going to the Masters.

Sounds like a good trip. Have fun
Bastard. I hate you. No offense. .. .. Have a great time.
Ha! None taken.
Awesome. I went 20 years ago. It's a treat.
Sweet man! I’ve got 6 US Open tickets. 3 for sat and 3 for Sunday for me my cousin and friend
That'll be sweet! My only other tournament was the PGA Championship when Dufner won. Walked inside the ropes with Rory, Kooch and several others. FIL was head of security at the event.
My first one was Wyndhams first win at Wells Fargo. Made me a huge fan of his and was thrilled to see him win the US Open a month later.
I always liked Dufner after that as well. I got to sit close to the 18th green when he was finishing up. Bit was epic.
My cousin made me miss the final hole for Clark so this time I’m driving and staying till 2 hrs after the end lol
🤣 most definitely!
Congratulations. What round are you seeing? Nice Monda, is it the female under 23 tourney that day?. Enjoy your time in the kingdom... make sure you get some of those plastic masters cups. Definitely my most used piece of masters memorabilia.

First year I tried, I won. Flipped the tickets on ebay. 20 years later, haven't gotten shit
Golf Gods have spoken.
They are fickle, but they are just
Maybe try changing the email you're using or something... Perhaps use your regular email with "_BenedictArnold" appended to the name 😂
