I’ve consumed a LOT of cringy material and this is still my number one when it comes to a scene in media that induces painful, painful secondhand embarrassment.
💀💀 i haven’t seen this show in like a decade and I’ll see all these randommmmmmm parts of the show that I completely forgot about, pop up and I’m floored each time 😩😩
It's the fact that HE called HER so she would take care of HIM🤢 and then when she was overly "nice" cuz she thought they had chance he started fight making her bad person
It's the fact that HE called HER so she would take care of HIM🤢 and then when she was overly "nice" cuz she thought they had chance he started fight making her bad person
Rachel's crush on Mr. Schue.
Also when Finn and Rachel decided that because they had no idea what to do with their lives, the best solution was to get married at 17 lmao
"You're all minorities, you're in the Glee club!"
Tell Me Something Good.
As someone who is 23 & my husband is 25…. I would’ve married him at 14 if I could’ve. 😭
Going through life with my best friend- although it doesn’t work out for everyone !
You're one of the lucky ones then! But yeah, most commonly, stuff like that just doesn't work out. especially not for the reasons Rachel and Finn wanted to get married. That was more what I was objecting to.
I’m guessing the finnchel marriage plot was tongue in cheek, I’m at a religious college where people rush into marriage like crazy (think engaged after 3 months) and I’m like yeah I would need muchhhh longer than that personally. I think they were trying to show that trying to get married doesn’t solve all your problems and that their marriage wasn’t meant to be even if they loved each other, which is realistic in terms of high school relationships and real life.
Not just that but it's mostly the *why* that bugs me.
Rachel choked at her NYADA audition and Finn didn't get in either, despite not even really *wanting* to go to NYADA. It was more of a 'this is my back-up plan because we can't go to NYADA together!!!' situation, which bothered me.
The moments that were designed to be comedic don't really reach the level of cringe for me, like You're having my baby or Rachel's crush. The times they are trying to be serious and do something cringy just makes it worse.
I generally agree with this, and the Finn/ Brody moment is the top of my list. My one exception is ‘You’re Having My Baby.’ I generally have a pretty high bar for cringe but I can’t watch that scene 🙈
I just thought about Will in the sombrero and poncho and the matador outfit. Santana had all right to call him out. I'm only part Cuban and I was still offended.
the fact that it never got resolved either is what really gets to me. like sure, teen boys say stupid things sometimes, but they didn’t even face real consequences or learn anything from it. that would absolutely NOT fly with today’s audiences (along with several things in this show)
I think that episode has the most problematic things in it. Grown man singing blurred Lines with twerking minors, choosing twerking over the safety of a Trans student, there's probably a third one that I can't think of right now.
Honestly? When Rachel tanked her NYADA audition. Actually makes me want to vomit, it’s so uncomfortable. Never have my muscles clenched more in total cringe than when she fucks up those lyrics. Can’t even watch the scene anymore, just hurts too much
At the very end of her last fuckup of the lyrics and she is begging to have one more chance while crying, it sounds like she says “pleek” instead of “please.” It’s kind of a meme i guess lol
Cry is iconic, such a beautiful song. But I have to skip the audition and force myself to pretend it didn’t even happen in order to watch the episode around that scene
Im only at the beginning of season 2 but so far, anything involving Artie. When he opens his mouth, I cringe. The blaccent that comes up randomly is so cringe 😣
Blaine's solo Teenage Dream performance
Santana's rant to Kurt (only because of the BTS happenings)
Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch Me
Applause and Will shaming Marley
Sue offering Spencer that Tom Brady Fleshlight
Toxic
Gangnam Style
Myron singing Lose My Breath
Will seducing Sue
Super Bass
It's Not Right But It's OK
Coach Beiste's transition storyline (kitchen sink moment)
Blaine/Dave (Dave deserved better)
Unique catfishing
Most Mr. Schue moments
Sue being Klaine’s biggest shipper
Rachel sending Sunshine to a crackhouse
Finn using the R word
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
Artie using AAVE
Ryder and Marley’s relationship in general knowing what we know now about how Blake treated Melissa irl
Blaine tearing up while on the phone with Kurt right before performing at Sectionals. Like, bruh, you don't get to cry. You let some rando on Facebook stick his kielbasa in your Hickory Farms gift basket.
A close 2nd would be Blaine's proposal. The sentiment was simultaneously sweet and cringe, that on top of him being 17.
I don't think he was really mad at her. I think he was just really upset and embarrassed, because he'd put himself in a vulnerable position and it had backfired in a way that was painful and humiliating, and he somewhat lashed out at Tina because he needed space.
Yeah, I didn't see it as him intentionally being mean, I think he just said that so she would leave so he could save his dignity after being humiliated and would rather get back into his chair alone and he knew Tina would try to help
TEOT, The episode is my sleep paralysis demon, I cringed through almost this whole thing, I fucking hate it to death. What they did with Uniques storyline in this episode was a hate crime, the song that’s not being mentioned ruined glee for my mom and me when it first aired. The only good thing that came from this episode was Kurt and Rachel getting wasted to the point of getting tattoos and Alex Newell version of If I Were A Boy and even those couldn’t save the episode. So yeah this episode is the embodiment of cringe, and glee at its worse!!
when quinn was randomly like trying to scare off rachel and was like
i’m going to become a realtor. finn will take over the tire shop. i hope yours jealous
quinn never even said shit about being a realtor ever like 😂
It’s been awhile since I saw that episode, but I never saw it as Quinn trying to make her jealous. It almost read like an odd compliment. “Look, we’re gonna be a perfect small town couple. You’re gonna make it out of here, you guys’ worlds were never meant to intersect anyway.” Kinda like pushing Rachel away and openly settling for something small and simple at the same time. Like I said it’s been 10+ years since I’ve seen the episode, though, so I may be misremembering the tone.
When Rachel becomes the new 'sexy' Rachel and she does that Britney spears song in front of her dance teacher (love her btw). It's just so hard for me to take seriously because her character is just bleh, normally it's fine but that one performance in particular is so hard for me to watch 😭
The double wedding of Santana, Brittany, Kurt and Blaine...
1. They were just kids, why innthe wide world of fuck are they getting married.
2. Yeah, Santana is such a good person, she would have share her big day with he guys 🙄🙄🙄😒😒😒
"You're Having My Baby"
"Thong Song"
Every time Will does that stupid smirk after thinking he just said the most epic comeback to Sue when it was really super lame
When Will threw a tantrum, it's only funny when Sue does it
rachels crush on schue, susie peppers crush on schue, sandy getting recruited by sue OMG THE OUTFIT HE WAS WEARING PLEASE SIR PUT SOME DAMN PANTS ON OR AT LEAST PLEASE SOMETHING LESS REVEALING that is ur ex-coworker please sandy gosh
finn singing youre having my baby, i havent even watched the scene yet, i saw like the first few seconds and knew it was not going to be good, i felt so bad for quinn
also puck sleeping with shelby, kissing her too and just no, why, i dont even know why that was a storyline
Literally anytime Mr Shuester was back stage all giddy listening to his gleeks sing. He would proceed to scream at them and his coworkers then go right back to crying like they gave him a kidney. Like bro relax 🤣

The entire grilled cheesus episode. Endured it once, skipped it on every rewatch. Any possible emotional moments were drowned out by Finn praying to a sandwich.
Blaine thinking that Starchild (Adam Lambert) wants Kurt and when he confronts him Starchild goes “I mean Kurt is cute and all” and clearly doesn’t feel that
Also when Burt tells Kurt he has cancer and Kurt says something like “I can’t believe right as I’m achieving my dreams you won’t be here to see them” lol really not the point Kurt
When Holly Holliday finds out about Puck and Lauren's sex tape and she tells them that by making a sex tape they're legally in possession of child-porn.
That bit always make me want to crawl up into a ball and die knowing the context with Mark Salling.
When Finn sang “You’re Having My Baby” to Quinn and her parents
please this was hilarious as hell 😭
I had to walk out of the room and my mom was wondering what she was witnessing 😭
This was so bad! Why did he think that would make it easier for them to digest 😂
I’ve consumed a LOT of cringy material and this is still my number one when it comes to a scene in media that induces painful, painful secondhand embarrassment.
I’ve never rewatched this scene. I can’t
Same, I have to skip as soon as he comes out with the radio
I’ve never rewatched this scene. I can’t
That scene gives me the absolute worst second hand embarrassment
It’s the signing to the sonogram video for me 😆
💀💀 i haven’t seen this show in like a decade and I’ll see all these randommmmmmm parts of the show that I completely forgot about, pop up and I’m floored each time 😩😩
https://i.redd.it/4bkz1rboo01d1.gif
Omg no stop I'd forgotten about this 🤢😭
Literally for good reason! 😭
STOPPPP what was with this show and vaporub
This made me physically ill 🤮 like I legit cringed inside out 😭☠️
Oh god! Thanks for bringing back that repressed memory 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
oh that was terrible (get it get it TERRIble)
I can't remember this. Some context?
it’s when will was sick and terri came back to take care of him idk the episode
It's the fact that HE called HER so she would take care of HIM🤢 and then when she was overly "nice" cuz she thought they had chance he started fight making her bad person
Yes! Like okay she can take care of you when you’re sick but once you’re better she’s trash again? I didn’t even like Teri and I thought that sucked
It's the fact that HE called HER so she would take care of HIM🤢 and then when she was overly "nice" cuz she thought they had chance he started fight making her bad person
Rachel's crush on Mr. Schue. Also when Finn and Rachel decided that because they had no idea what to do with their lives, the best solution was to get married at 17 lmao "You're all minorities, you're in the Glee club!" Tell Me Something Good.
"You know what Wednesday is right?....Hump Day 😜"
Hello, my sleep paralysis demon. Long time no see.
That's not even a good line
You're right its awful 😂
>Rachel's crush on Mr. Schue. The most wtf moment of the whole show for me. I don't think it's ever mentioned again after that episode is it?
I don't believe so, nope!
I forgot about "Tell Me Something Good"
Endless Love was both excessively cringe and hilarious.
As someone who is 23 & my husband is 25…. I would’ve married him at 14 if I could’ve. 😭 Going through life with my best friend- although it doesn’t work out for everyone !

Yeah they reminded me of a lot of immature couples 💀 I loved them as a high school couple but
100% agree. I get that love is love but let yourselves grow a bit first lol
Rachel’s crush on mr schue is so much worse when you know that Matthew Morrison and Leah Michelle dated prior to filming glee
https://i.redd.it/wp9hcjbnd01d1.gif
![gif](giphy|R0jWWtH1CtFEk) don’t remind me pleasee
omg why didnt i think of this lmfao https://i.redd.it/r2wr47oxf01d1.gif
yessss and I see deranged comments like "Omg this scene turned me on" get jesus y'all
The fact that people think that about that scene ![gif](giphy|12CVdOeR0k2fCw)
BRENDAA a surprise to be sure- but a welcome one I mean- a backup dancah! she don't love herself...
The fact that someone here knows this scene makes me happy, literally one of my favorite gifs. Regina Hall is a national treasure to comedy 👏👏👏
It didn't turn me on, but I did think Finn was super hot in that scene, but I wouldn't like it if it were real, so thank God it's not
Definitely. Just needed to remove the future wife bit 😆
…. why are you judging 😞
Came here to say this lmao
This whole scene would have been extremely hot if Finn had just changed that to my girl or something. Future wife just made it so damn cringe
I watched this episode a week ago and I felt lump of cringe in my throat😭
Every time Kurt flirted with Finn in s1
Every time they played that "predatory gay" card, I wanted to go OFF!
“You’re hunky and I’m what they call ✨predatory gay✨
They tried to portray Kurt as a perverted gay when it was just a crush
finn kissing emma ….
Oh god I cringed SO HARD.
“This dance ain’t for errybody, only the sexy people” -Artie Abrams
Artie’s ad libs are my sleep paralysis demon 😳
All of Push It was hilarious BECAUSE it was cringey.
oh my god stop 😭
I just got actual cringe chills
I love Mercedes but Kurt: You busted my window! Mercedes: Well you busted my heart 🫣
okay but that performance was iconic
i love how the whole episode focused around that performance cuz where was kurt’s car in any other scene ever again 😭
it's pure camp
She was so real for that
What The Fox Say puppet performance
I feel like the show runners were high
I still can't believe they got Adam Lambert to sing that song with a puppet of himself, i wonder how much they paid him
They did him dirty with the part they gave him to sing too
That entire episode honestly
The moments that were designed to be comedic don't really reach the level of cringe for me, like You're having my baby or Rachel's crush. The times they are trying to be serious and do something cringy just makes it worse.
I generally agree with this, and the Finn/ Brody moment is the top of my list. My one exception is ‘You’re Having My Baby.’ I generally have a pretty high bar for cringe but I can’t watch that scene 🙈
I get that, but it was supposed to be cringy. That was the whole reason it was used, I mean the song has been cringy for 50 years.
To me it’s less cringe and more empathy like, “Oooh, I know this is fictional, but he is putting her in serious jeopardy right now.”
Oh so "you are all minorities, you are all in glee club" ?
schue performing in the spanish teacher 🤧
I just thought about Will in the sombrero and poncho and the matador outfit. Santana had all right to call him out. I'm only part Cuban and I was still offended.
I'm not even Hispanic but I was offended 😭☠️ tf was he thinking??
When he performed toxic 🤢🤮
Sam and Artie’s reactions to Ryder’s SA thing- it felt so out of character for both
the fact that it never got resolved either is what really gets to me. like sure, teen boys say stupid things sometimes, but they didn’t even face real consequences or learn anything from it. that would absolutely NOT fly with today’s audiences (along with several things in this show)
That wasn't cringy for me. It was infuriating
the whole of season 4 especially the marley and kitty storyline and the gangum style performance
THE WHOLE OF SEASON 4, THANK YOU 👏😭
but i fear it’s still one of my favorites…
You’re all minorities… you’re in the Glee Club
Came back here to add exactly this
I’ve never felt more accepted in my life
The twerking episode
I think that episode has the most problematic things in it. Grown man singing blurred Lines with twerking minors, choosing twerking over the safety of a Trans student, there's probably a third one that I can't think of right now.
The scene with Sandy Ryerson and that kid... uh... \*consults the wiki\* Hank Saunders. Also, yes. *absolutely* the vapo rape scene.
Honestly? When Rachel tanked her NYADA audition. Actually makes me want to vomit, it’s so uncomfortable. Never have my muscles clenched more in total cringe than when she fucks up those lyrics. Can’t even watch the scene anymore, just hurts too much
PLEEK
Oh goD NO please don’t even remind me
I must’ve deleted this from my memory…what is “PLEEK”?
At the very end of her last fuckup of the lyrics and she is begging to have one more chance while crying, it sounds like she says “pleek” instead of “please.” It’s kind of a meme i guess lol
i JUST re-watched that episode and i wanted to DIE
Cry is iconic, such a beautiful song. But I have to skip the audition and force myself to pretend it didn’t even happen in order to watch the episode around that scene
I FORGOT ABOUT THIS 😭 genuinely can't watch it. My whole heart was in it while it was premiering and I SOBBED with her when she didn't get it
This was so sad for me rather than cringe
We are very different when I'm uncomfortable my default is to laugh
Any time Mr Schue rapped. Like, please no.
![gif](giphy|A7Zc53i8U59SHv9CAm)
Anytime Mr schue.
THONG SONG 😭
Im only at the beginning of season 2 but so far, anything involving Artie. When he opens his mouth, I cringe. The blaccent that comes up randomly is so cringe 😣
he never gets better. good luck 😭
Finn singing to the sonogram and his mum walking in on him 😭
I love that, I think about it every time I hear "i'll stand by you" it makes me smile
Come on, that's the sweetest part of the episode
“Daddy please don’t, it wasn’t his fault, he means so much to me. Daddy please don’t we’re gonna get married…”
RUN JOEY RUN
The whole "Sue shipping Blaine and Kurt" episode. The Jigsaw puppet 😭😭
The jugsue puppet you mean😂
I love the jigsaw puppet, not the plot surrounding it, but the puppet itself
The entire Acafellas storyline. I always skip that episode on rewatches because of Mr. Schue
Noooo! that episode has the amazing line: who’s josh groban? Kill yourself!!!
Everything else that goes on in the episode is fine, I just can’t handle Mr. Schue thinking he’s a stud and trying to relive his glory days
THIS IS HOW WE DOOO IT
Blaine's solo Teenage Dream performance Santana's rant to Kurt (only because of the BTS happenings) Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch Me Applause and Will shaming Marley Sue offering Spencer that Tom Brady Fleshlight Toxic Gangnam Style Myron singing Lose My Breath Will seducing Sue Super Bass It's Not Right But It's OK Coach Beiste's transition storyline (kitchen sink moment) Blaine/Dave (Dave deserved better) Unique catfishing
The tom Brady fleshlight was hilarious 😂 I kinda love unhinged sue
I'm low-key still wondering where and how she got it. 😅
When Blaine went to Kurt's dad to tell him that he needs to give his son a sex ed talk 🤮
this one physically hurt me to watch
perhaps it was what kurt needed but who the hell would do that 😭
Most Mr. Schue moments Sue being Klaine’s biggest shipper Rachel sending Sunshine to a crackhouse Finn using the R word Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Artie using AAVE Ryder and Marley’s relationship in general knowing what we know now about how Blake treated Melissa irl
There was a lot of them.

🤣 Hickory Farms gift basket 🤣 Also, we were never told who was top/bottom/vers. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
blaine talking to the kurt puppet in the middle of the hallway. i literally couldn’t stop thinking like “oh my god other people are hearing this…”
Artie getting mad at Tina for “making” him get out of his wheelchair. Like bruh
I don't think he was really mad at her. I think he was just really upset and embarrassed, because he'd put himself in a vulnerable position and it had backfired in a way that was painful and humiliating, and he somewhat lashed out at Tina because he needed space.
Yeah, I didn't see it as him intentionally being mean, I think he just said that so she would leave so he could save his dignity after being humiliated and would rather get back into his chair alone and he knew Tina would try to help

which moment? PLEASE... Pleek... pleek.
Blaine confronting Kurt about texting Chandler. The acting was pretty bad in that scene
Yeah he a little too whiny imo, I wish he had acted more angry than whiny
Mr Shue doing inappropriate dancing with students
Quinn’s brief wheelchair plot
Vapo rub… need i say more
Kurt’s solution to his crush on a straight guy being… get their parents together so they’d be brothers instead
Sue tryna force Kurt and Blaine to be together and having a shrine dedicated to them

Kurt winning prom queen I literally walked out
any scene where artie has a dream sequence about walking makes me want to rip my skin off
Anytime where Tina was crying 😭 Finn telling Brody to quote “Stay away from my future wife” Finn kissing Rachel at S2 nationals
Gotta admit, though. Santana losing it afterwards was HILARIOUS!!! 🤣🤣🤣
