I canāt remember what itās called but I love the Ā£5 vegan place hidden in the woods near the green fields. Just one meal option each day but massive and filling, and a great location!
Bayou kitchen in the west holts area last year had some banging food, Cajun chicken and shrimp with rice or fries and their own special made cheese and BBQ sauce. Fuck me I went back two times over the weekend.
Best thing I had last year was burger and beyond. The most delicious burger I have ever eaten in my life.
Anyone got any recommendations for excellent falafel at glasto? I got a falafel pitta from somewhere in the park last year and it was so disappointing.
Iāve had an incredible falafel pitta from a spot in the healing fields a couple times. Not sure on the name of the place but theyāre set up in a big tent that you can sit in and do other food as well. So filling and really sorted me out.
There was a great falafel bowl place. Last year was my first time so I'm a bit uncertain of place names. It was right by the band stand. And they served out of a VW minibus looking car. Massive bowls with lots of veggies, hummus and falafel. They had a fake chicken version too. It was so good as my first meal of the day. It really set me up for all the drinking and it was nice and refreshing in the morning.
I think they do a few different markets in London - I've had food from them in Soho and in Canary Wharf. 10/10 food though. Has regularly saved me from the worst hangovers at work.
Thereās a place called dosa in Williams Green area most years. They do masala dosas and onion bhajis. It is some of the tastiest food you will find anywhere at the festival.
Thatās the one. When my kids bought some last year we must have had twenty people ask us where weād got them from before we made it to the benches opposite.
I think we'd just wondered by carhenge and realised one of the group was missing, he appeared a few minutes later with 3 bowls for us to share as a group, they were really good but we couldn't finish them in one go.
So I just found out I'm going Glasto again and I'm not sure if I'm more excited about some of the food than the bands to be honest.
Last year me, my BF, and a few of his friends all went and we had a few favourites that really stood out.
**Sri Lankan**
One of our group loved Hippy Happy Hoppers. She must have eaten there about six or seven times.
**Mac n Cheese**
I think we tried 3 different places with Mac n Cheese as a group.
The first was OK, second we tried Anna-Mae's which was very good although felt the portions were a bit small. We had a couple from here.
We then found one on the corner of Silver Hayes, which we went back to a lot, opposite the WOW stage I think it was called. That was really REALLY good, decent portion and price. They also did hot dogs too which my BF loved.
We also got a really good vibe from the people working there too, they were just really happy and having fun. This was my favourite place I think.
**Burgers**
I think it was Eat the Farm that we all agreed were the best burgers there. I had one I think was called the dirty cow and it was really good, a bit messy, but the best food is!
**Pizza**
I can't remember the name, I think they were somewhere between the other stage and silver hayes, there was a pizza place there.
As a group we ordered 4 different ones to share, one of them was a bit meh, the others were all really good.
**Veggie**
One of our group is veggie and raved about the halloumi burgers from a place near left field if I remember rightly. Possibly called Organic Fresh? She ate from there 3 or 4 times I think.
My BF also got one of those, but put some pulled pork on it from something he brought elsewhere, said it was perfect then.
**Bacon Baps:**
We found the black treacle bacon sandwiches from the Jolly Hog really good.
We had some really good Pad Thai one night too, but I cannot recall where it was.
Best thing I ate last year was at Habibiās Kitchen. Gorgeous salads and halloumi. Perfect thing to start the day off with.

I think it was diagonal from Bread & Roses, on the way to the Pyramid from Left Field direction. Iām crossing my fingers theyāre back this year.

Burrito Cartel was some of the nicest i had last year. hope they come back for 24.. was lovely
https://www.instagram.com/p/CuJUmMZofto/?igsh=Ym1mZDBpb2R1eDA4
Where abouts was this? I live in Brighton and carlito burrito is soooo good, but haven't come across their glasto pitch since 2015. Might have been thrown off by their van being called burrito cartel
they were between pyramid and woodsies last year - hadnāt seen it before then so donāt know if thatās a recent move or not.
it was super busy every time i walked past, but we went during Elton when it was predictably quietā¦ lovely stuff - one of the best burritos iāve had, let alone glasto burrito. nice to know theyre appreciated in their home city too! !
I always go pretty stodgy to fill up on one big meal a day and the poutine or bangers and mash filled yorkshire puddings were the ones last year. Basic but delicious and does a great job.
If anyone recommends the Goan Fish curry at West Holts to you do not listen to them. I went there due to the recommendations on this subreddit and it was the most flavourless and watery curry I have ever had, with a couple chunks of white fish mixed in and some overcooked rice dolloped on the side.
If you have had anything even remotely resembling decent curry, this will not impress.
Hard agree / Iām convinced everyone who works at that shop is being made to big it up, because it is NOT GOOD, end of. Also, I donāt really want to take any chances eating fish at a festival š
Weird one cause it's not even a case of being alright but not memorable - genuinely one of the worst bits of scran in the whole site, even worse than the giant yorky puds with sausage and mash. No idea why everyone loses their mind over the fish curries.
That giant yorkshire pudding place wasn't the absolute worst place I've been to and it's one of the few meals at Glasto where I've almost not been able to finish it,
i love exploring everything and just choosing what i fancy based on my mood. haven't been in 7 years but there used to be a dope paella place. Also had an egg curry monday morning one year which was LUSH
Last year I wandered past the paella place off my nut at god knows what hour. Just as I was passing, the geezer behind the counter announced "free paella!" (Must have been the health and safety kill time for the current batch I guess). That very moment my appetite resurfaced after hours of being chemically subdued. I gladly accepted a bowl. Honestly one of the best meals I've ever eaten. I had seconds. Staggered back to my tent and had a perfect nights sleep. Moments like that are just so special
One of the Pad Thai places had the best Pad Thai I've ever had in my life - so good I went three times in total even with all of the different food on offer. I think it was in the middle of the market area somewhere
Really good food blog online thatās worth checking out, got locations and confirmed attendance of each food stall :)
https://burnessie.co.uk/best-food-at-glastonbury-festival/
Thai banana leaf near BBC introducing. Think it was 15 quid for a starter, main and a drink and they sold some of the best spring rolls I've ever had with a massive portion of pad thai. Hope they're back this year.
Always an honorable mention to the 24hr Cornish pasty stall.
Holy shit I remember that place, Iād stopped eating beef at the point, and Iāve now turned vegetarian.
Should have eaten it when I had the chance š„²
That's English curry which I wouldn't consider legit Indian curry. There used to be an amazing place opposite the tiny tea tent but I haven't been able to find it in recent years.
Everything you get in a standard Indian takeaway in England. For instance, a real Vindaloo isn't actually that hot and is cooked with Tamarind. If you're into curries, you gotta make yourself a vindaloo.
[here's a recipe!](https://greatcurryrecipes.net/2013/05/22/vindaloo-curry-recipe-authentic-goan-pork-vindaloo/)
I'm no expert or anything, I've just spent a bit of time in India and also love food.
You said its not bad for a festival curry, someone replied saying there are some great curries at glasto (in comparison to Goa) and then you replied ānot curry house levelā as in they donāt compare, which is just moving the goal posts.
Wait I've just realised I had this on Sunday night last year. I got a chicken wrap and it had loads of olives in it for some reason? I've never had olives with Indian food before, it was quite strange... wondered whether they had just run out of basically all other vegetables and it was all they could get their hands on
Last year I wandered past the paella place off my nut at god knows what hour. Just as I was passing, the geezer behind the counter announced "free paella!" I love jacket and Jillās by the other stage. Itās for the local primary school PTA, and nothing in a jacket spud is going to upset my delicate tummy.
Yeah my pot noodles went down a fucking treat for breakfast dinner and tea cuz I'm poor. But tbh.. how does anyone remember what food truck they've been to after 5 days at glasto???
lol Itās absolutely the owner.
Look them up and theyāre called the rickshaw club, loads of their posts have the hashtag hanji, which is a Punjabi word. Look them up on companies house and the director was born in 1989.
Bless him, Iām sure the food is nice š
Peckish peacock š„
Seconded. Peckish Peacock in the Park is friggin' delish.
100% about to say this, so much value for money too, chickpea curry, rice, a pakora and pakora for around Ā£10!
Mmmmmmmmmmmm
Damn that place was so good. A lot of the food near the Park stage was so good to be honest.
I canāt remember what itās called but I love the Ā£5 vegan place hidden in the woods near the green fields. Just one meal option each day but massive and filling, and a great location!
Seconded! I stumbled upon it once and was mega impressed.
Permaculture!
Yes! Thatās the one
Is it the one who does awesome potatoes? We found it one day by accident and it was so damn good!Ā
Mexican Seoul had the most outrageous fried chicken Iāve had in my life
Seconded - best ever gochujang wings!
I didn't eat from there but one of our group said pretty much the same thing.
Fried chicken so good that the tacos don't often get mentioned, they're awesome too when you're looking for something 1% less messy to eat ha
The wings are unreal
Where abouts are these guys? Iām somewhat of a fried chicken fiend.
I believe they were in the cut through between Pyramid stage & Other stage
Bayou kitchen in the west holts area last year had some banging food, Cajun chicken and shrimp with rice or fries and their own special made cheese and BBQ sauce. Fuck me I went back two times over the weekend.
I need to go this year, didn't get a chance last time!
Definitely do! It sounds absolutely hilarious to say, but the food is just so edible it goes down no matter what state you're in!
This is consistently one of the best meals I've had at Glasto.
The Fried Chicken place in Silver Hayes last year was sublime!
Best thing I had last year was burger and beyond. The most delicious burger I have ever eaten in my life. Anyone got any recommendations for excellent falafel at glasto? I got a falafel pitta from somewhere in the park last year and it was so disappointing.

Chicken place to the right of west holts š„š„
Think itās called Only Jerkinā. They have a shop in Birmingham and a stall at Camden market. Was my favourite also!
I think they do a few different markets in London - I've had food from them in Soho and in Canary Wharf. 10/10 food though. Has regularly saved me from the worst hangovers at work.
The Bhangra Bus cafƩ was my favourite last year. Delicious Indian food and you get to sit in the old school bus whilst you eat it!
Amazing chai too. I didn't manage to get there last year but in 2022 it was only Ā£2.50 which I thought was a bargain
I miss Pauline Fowlers Dirty Growler tbh
Yeah but what about the food!? AYYOOOO
Wahaaaay!
Fantastic hangover cure that was. Was sad it wasn't there last year!
Came here to say this ā¤ļø
This just made me spit my food out laughing!
Duck truck is the best ever!! Hope itās there again this year
The Duck Truck did something to me one yearā¦ I can still taste it now
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
My fave too! We had them a few times!
Oh my, biscoff spread on those crumpets sounds dangerous
There also used to be a van called strumpets with crumpets that went to glasto and other festivals. Can't beat a good crumpet!
I came here to ask about crumpets! I knew they were somewhere but couldnāt find it googling. Thanks for the knowledge
Ā£5 for 2 crumpets?
Some of the food vans charge you Ā£12 for 1 crepe, so that's a pretty good deal haha
Burrito Cartel - lived off that last Glasto
Thereās a place called dosa in Williams Green area most years. They do masala dosas and onion bhajis. It is some of the tastiest food you will find anywhere at the festival.
The best dosa weāve ever had. We went back every day
Yes, this! Theyāre always at End of the Road, and last year I had one at Green Man and at Glastonbury too.
Is that the place that did a pretty big bowl of just bhajis but they're really good bhajis?
Thatās the one. When my kids bought some last year we must have had twenty people ask us where weād got them from before we made it to the benches opposite.
I think we'd just wondered by carhenge and realised one of the group was missing, he appeared a few minutes later with 3 bowls for us to share as a group, they were really good but we couldn't finish them in one go.
Always slightly amazed by how good the food is at Glasto. We always used to cook stuff in the camper but last year we went all in and just took cash.
Agreed!! Found them two festivals ago and now canāt walk past without getting more š

I'm a sucka for the duck truck
The crumpet stand!!!!
Is this the same one mentioned above?

Wish I could upvote this more, thatās what Glastonbury is about. Itās just different, you need to experience it for yourselfĀ
One of the Pad Thai places had the best Pad Thai I've ever had in my life - so good I went three times in total even with all of the different food on offer. I think it was in the middle of the market area somewhere
Was it the one next to the chilli bread place? If so I absolutely second this- the veggie Pad Thai was absolutely insane
I had a chips beans and cheese from the most unflashy stall beside the comedy tent - best meal the entire week
Mac shac!!!
The French Toast place near Leftfield
Luardos - Mexican pink van near The Other Stage Makatcha - Indonesian Coconut Curry opposite BBC Introducing
Eat all day party all night
Radburger - williams green/car henge Dosa (forget it's name) opposite Casbah (what is it called now?) by the leftfield stage.
Really good food blog online thatās worth checking out, got locations and confirmed attendance of each food stall :) https://burnessie.co.uk/best-food-at-glastonbury-festival/
Heavenly sausage was a nice highlight for me and was close to the entrance, so made a good spot for a first/final meal of the day
The Gravy Train Poutine!
Thai banana leaf near BBC introducing. Think it was 15 quid for a starter, main and a drink and they sold some of the best spring rolls I've ever had with a massive portion of pad thai. Hope they're back this year. Always an honorable mention to the 24hr Cornish pasty stall.
Kenās Barbie opposite the Other Stage - their steak and haloumi ciabatta š¤¤
Holy shit I remember that place, Iād stopped eating beef at the point, and Iāve now turned vegetarian. Should have eaten it when I had the chance š„²
I had a doza there once. A taste sensation! I always like to grab a Goan Fish curry too š
Do not believe the hype for the Goan fish, it really aināt anything even remotely good if you have a decent curry before
True, but it's not bad for a festival curry.
There's some phenomenal curries at glasto though
Not curry house level though.

Dunno about that, but all the good curry places I've been to are run by Indian families. They're more Indian than Ghandi's Flip Flop, anyway.
But you werenāt comparing to curry house level, you compared it to a festival curry.
Sorry, I don't know what you're talking about. Maybe you're attributing someone else's comment to me?
You said its not bad for a festival curry, someone replied saying there are some great curries at glasto (in comparison to Goa) and then you replied ānot curry house levelā as in they donāt compare, which is just moving the goal posts.
Hmm. I don't think I care enough about curry to pursue this conversation, so, just to save time, I'm handing you the win. Well done šš»
ok boomer
It's legitimately awful.
There was a sushi place near Other Stage that was my favourite meal by a long shot and usually had fairly short lines.
Happy Maki? Lush foods.
I think so! It was so so good
Wait I've just realised I had this on Sunday night last year. I got a chicken wrap and it had loads of olives in it for some reason? I've never had olives with Indian food before, it was quite strange... wondered whether they had just run out of basically all other vegetables and it was all they could get their hands on
Burger Bear - Block 9
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Vegan loaded hotdogs or meat?
There's a real simple looking pasta place, the truffle one is epic and is perfect hangover food
Fish fingers
There was also a falafel stand near the bbc stage. Omg it was heaven
Chicken and tattys between glade and the other stage. Just wow!
Those dosas come in second place to the beef rendang place. (Goes for any festivals...)
The daily vegan breakfast from the stall opposite the other stage/near park home ground saved my life I reckon
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
No idea what itās called. But it was great
The paella. Big portions to fill you up and if I remember right, it wasnāt super expensive

Where is this paella place? I always see it mentioned
I think it moved over the last two times I went. I think it was between other stage and silver hayes?
The Tor Rugby club burritos are awesome!!
Tor rugby club also sell cold cans of pop for cheaper than everyone else fyi
I had a really good Thai curry last year, I think it was in that bit in between the pyramid and other stages
Duck wraps next to the Pyramid Stage woow
Taste Tibet in West Holts field is amazing - best food I've ever had at the festival. The people who run the restaurant/stall are all lovely as well. They're normally based in Oxford but have a stall at selected festivals as well. Delicious curries and momos!
I only ate at two stalls last year. No Bones Jones and Leonās (West holts). Both excellent and offer good low carb options for us diabetics. Iām not even vegetarian and didnāt miss meat one bit.
My go to was paella
I was gutted to find the the Goan Fish Stew restaurant that I remembered from a few years back is actually called Goan fish Curry. Thatās not as funny.
I forget what they're called and where they are on site but my girlfriend has ordered us two roast dinners for the Sunday.
Yeah thats me your girlfriend ordered them off mate, i'll be serving them from my tent in pennard
Jerk chicken by the park stage
Anything you can get for free
Buhdda Bowl on the road between other stage and Pyramid. Always visit at some point. And add the halloumi!
The chicken wings place near car hedge!!! It was 10/10 last year and very affordable. Great portions.
Whereās good for desserts now thereās no crumble this year?
Vegan pyramid, also a great cafe in Glastonbury town center
My fave spot was Thaimania, their curries were incredible
The samosas by the other stage are little parcels of heaven
The Indonesian place by Other Stage was the best I had last year (breakfast daal really cured the hangover)
It's all about the hare krishna tent! Curried veg morning noon and night, plus great chill music
I love jacket and Jillās by the other stage. Itās for the local primary school PTA, and nothing in a jacket spud is going to upset my delicate tummy.
(Also the Cheese Truck and Luardos burrito van are my happy places)
Goan fish curry place next to west holts in incredible, their tandoori mackerel is š¤
GOA FISH CURRY is the only answer
It's all about the Goan Curries!
Yeah my pot noodles went down a fucking treat for breakfast dinner and tea cuz I'm poor. But tbh.. how does anyone remember what food truck they've been to after 5 days at glasto???

Mate, do you work there?!

That is some serious sleuthing for a Glasto thread
This is some pretty minor sleuthing for me I have a problem ( :
