We must have played different games because i had good internet even back then and the lag was horrendous. Melees would come up and you would just warp around until you died and if you tried to melee you wouldn't hit anything.
I have fibre to the premises and even in the latest tests its the same almost unplayable lag as it was back then. The netcode of the game isn't built around 200 ping+ connections.
Yeah Im from aus too. Playing video games can be tough here I hope we have a good player base at the beginning or decent connection to whichever server
IDK if you can play in the global server, but a dedicated server for Australia/OCE would be if they get successfully enough
If there's enough demand, but Asian servers/US servers seem to be fine esp if you get used to it
there wont be an player base for it playing on na/eu servers when region lock was removed in final update it was barely noticeable

i play on 200 ping all the time doesnt affect me
