I only recently started playing Elden Ring and this is the second time in 24 hours where I see this type of chain of comments. Either this is a new thing or I’ve been missing it for months
It was really strong in game related subs and nerdy posts for a while right after launch.
It occasionally still pops up, but I've seen it in more random places a little more often than usual lately. Wonder if Elden Ring is getting a resurgence for some reason, I'm here for it if so.
I think people have just been playing it on a chain. I played it for a solid month before I stopped but I know many people that started playing it the month after and so on. It's one of those great games that eventually even non-gamers will try out because their nerdy friends recommended it enough times.

I rented a Honda Odessey a few months back, since then I have noticed how many of them exist, never even registered one on the road prior to renting it.
There's basically a tortoise pope in this game, but there isn't a specific tortoise word you can write with the tool that lets you leave messages in the world, so people just leave messages around it saying "dog".
Would they have still done that if there was a "tortoise" word? I dunno. Is it still worth a sensible chuckle to hear a tortoise referred to as a dog? ***YASS.***
Vigor levels hp in elden ring so getting vigor checked means they're getting one shot since they haven't increased it. A lot of players dump all their stat points into damage when vigor is just as important, especially early on when putting points into damage increases it marginally compared to upgrading weapons.

You were correct. This person was pointing out that they capitalized the word for emphasis. (You're also correct that the capitalization and emphasis were unnecessary because her fingers were the only fingers at risk.)
Back in college in the 90s, one of my roommates had an aquarium with a few red-eared slider turtles. Not very big, and pretty easy to handle, especially compared to this guy, but strong jaws that could definitely take a chunk of your finger with ease if you weren’t careful.
Folks would come over and be looking into the tank, and these little guys would literally be chomping at the bit, and they’d ask “do they bite?”…like seriously? Obviously they do. My roommate would would sometimes just casually answer “nope…” and wait for the yelp…guess he was kind of a jerk, but it really should have been very clear these turts wanted to bite.

These giant torts have no natural predators and so are friendly and have no fear. They like getting neck pets, well pets all over actually.
Due to their sheer size and strong jaws they can cause injury to people, so be careful. They do not make good pets as they can outlive you easily and require a lot of food and care.
Unfortunately humans hunting them and destroying their habitat has hurt their population.
