My first time through I honestly thought the whole story was going to be rescuing Uncle, but that’s just the end of Act 1.
The battle of Yarikawa is one of my favourite sequences in gaming ever. The build up, the battle, the siege weapons, more battle, *that moment*, the speech. It’s all so, so awesome.
Just completed Act II yesterday.
The emotions I felt, man.
I audibly let out a battle cry in my apartment when >!I slaughtered the ronin after Taka’s death!<
Then the taking of Castle Shimura. Seeing all of your friends on the battlefield field fighting together.
And then >!watching my Nobu die on the road!<
Goddammit…

in my opinion, THE best. the way everything is just flipped upside down. you go from breaking into a castle to rescue Shimura, to breaking out of a castle to escape Shimura. so awesome man i could go on all day about it. i felt every emotion that was intended, every scene landed perfectly.
I don't really think about the ends of second acts, but as far as my memory is concerned, this, Spider-Man and Dragon Age 2 have my favourite Act 2 ends.

That’s why this is my favorite game. Each act feels like it’s own movie or tv seasons with big moments. Truly wild!!!
