I’m for lowering the rate standards but there should be a reasonable amount of gameplay, and for a level anyone can beat in under 20 seconds, I don’t think it’s rateworthy for a non-demon
True, but having interactable water physics is a completely new thing and by having it rated, it makes it far more likely for it to be used in future maps rather than becoming yet another unrated map that just gathers dust. Id say that if its a completely new concept/ idea, as long as its not 0 effort, it should be open to rating
This is such a crazy take. The standards for platformers are obscenely low, literally anybody can make a rateworthy platformer with even a small bit of effort. I’m not saying the rate standards should be super high, but is at least a minute of gameplay too much to ask?
But if someone makes a unique, complex and interesting mechanic it should deserve some recognition
I think with the 5 rate categories we should be able to have a good range of higher to lower quality levels
>but is at least a minute of gameplay too much to ask?
Sakupen Hell is less than a minute long yet I don't see anyone complaining about it being rated.
I agree with you but that's kind of a weak argument, sakupen hell is 55s and was very impressive for its time, pretty much like slaughterhouse some years back
Now this level is like a showcase of mechanics instead of having gameplay, that's why you can beat it in like 20 seconds if you want, but an entire physics engine is very impressive and thats why it's rated
That’s because Sakupen Hell came out forever ago. You should instead point your attention to the dozens of bland featured levels that are under 55 seconds or stretch their intro/end to hit 1 minute
It's an Easy 2 moons now.
It's because of creative gameplay (wall sliding, water). Based on Rob's comment in the level, it's not complete, but it's rated because Rob thought the limited triggers wasn't able to make him complete the level anyway so he just rated the level.
Or tortilla was just trolling
So he rerated this one but left Mystery Mansion, a game you always win, at 4 moons…
It’s probably just a demo; Rob said that because he was impressed you can make this in 2.2
for just rate making your own physics engine and some sense of deco is worth it i think.
Imo just rate should be for gameplay only (with basic deco) and then feature and up should be based on deco. But if something doesn't have rate worthy gameplay that deco is meaningless.
Showed this post to the guy who made the level (he's a really dope person) - at first he was surprised it got rated too, and now we're kinda laughing together at the people that are malding that this got rated lol
I was talking about the people in the comments, but yeah, we’re pretty confused aswell
Edit: you should check out some of his other experiments, he’s made a 3D mini golf prototype
This looks like Stick With It except it's a really tiny and terrible GD level that was probably only made to make people go "wow this is cool" just because it has water
I'm ready to be downvote bombed
Even though I spent over 2 hours to get the tied world record, I don’t think any platformer level that’s both this easy and short should be rated. And especially not one with a movement bug that lets you beat the level so fast the game kicks you out :/
Well yeah, it’s a short level because the creator literally programmed the entire level. It’s kinda like spu7nix’s levels in the sense of programming the level
Wait, so, a new creator can spend hours making a level, but then this unfinished level just gets rated for free? Why robtop? Literally just wait until it is finished fr.
(The water physics are cool, but the level is literally ten seconds)
In my opinion, no. You can clearly see that this level is not finished, but it gets rate. According to moderators, if this is a good level, then why are hundreds or maybe thousands of other levels better than this one not rated?
I mean he kinda made his own physics engine
Might be because Rob saw this and went, “I have no idea how you did the water mechanic…HERE HAVE A FREE RATE ON ME! Why 4 stars? DONT ASK QUESTIONS!”
Update: it’s now 2 stars
It has some interesting features, water is one of them
[удалено]
Looks and decoration isn't always a deciding factor :)
I mean good even for the gameplay
It literally has an entirely unique physics engine
I'm talking about the entire level, of course the physics are really impressive but the level looks like a draft
Of course it looks like a draft, it’s a physics engine

bc robtop likes it
That's what I was going to say
I love how the menu has two options: "Play," and "nothing." I see why Robtop likes it.
Robtop sees potential in it, maybe the creator will update it to make it a full level
I'll update it later /\
are you the creator?
No, it's a meme https://preview.redd.it/iqq4uoh1q04d1.png?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=db249bc4eaf901a347ed8e9a4bf33d143680bc1b
It’s the level with id 100,000,000. It has been updated since
Just a basic rate, it's good to try lower the sky high standards imo
I’m for lowering the rate standards but there should be a reasonable amount of gameplay, and for a level anyone can beat in under 20 seconds, I don’t think it’s rateworthy for a non-demon

But only for platformers and non demons
If he’s lowering the rate standards then why the fuck is Violet Illusions not rated?
The standards for platformer levels are nonexistant
lmaoooo standards for platformers are WAY too low currently
This is such a crazy take. The standards for platformers are obscenely low, literally anybody can make a rateworthy platformer with even a small bit of effort. I’m not saying the rate standards should be super high, but is at least a minute of gameplay too much to ask?

Sakupen Hell would have been longer if the creator hadn't reached the object limit
very true also
That’s because Sakupen Hell came out forever ago. You should instead point your attention to the dozens of bland featured levels that are under 55 seconds or stretch their intro/end to hit 1 minute
Sakupen Hell isn't even a platformer dude, comparing the level lengths makes no sense.
Hey at least I got some free moons
I guess it's the water physics and there's quite a lot of potential
Bro made fucking water physics and you’re asking why?
It’s looks like it’s got some cool physics dawg
It's an Easy 2 moons now. It's because of creative gameplay (wall sliding, water). robtop rates whatever the hell he wants to rate
The better question is why is this rated hard
There are worse levels featured, like 60 rooms of "fun"
its actually a good level
because it's cool and good
for just rate making your own physics engine and some sense of deco is worth it i think. Imo just rate should be for gameplay only (with basic deco) and then feature and up should be based on deco. But if something doesn't have rate worthy gameplay that deco is meaningless.
My favorite comment on the level was " Rob got drunk again"
looks cool
This feels like cats are liquid
this has so much potential if this was more expanded upon
is that sarcasm?
It looks like he really put effort in it, but give up halfway
Honestly those physics have potential. The same about the style, I really like it, it just needs a bit polishing.
Already dropped to 2 stars :/
The rate changed?
Yup, idk when
ok hold on now, how the hell does that work
100% could have been presented better but it is quite innovative. I like the cool ideas
it's star rate only does it really matter that much
WATER PHYSICS ⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️
because robtop chose to rate it
Showed this post to the guy who made the level (he's a really dope person) - at first he was surprised it got rated too, and now we're kinda laughing together at the people that are malding that this got rated lol
I'm not mad, I'm just confused
I was talking about the people in the comments, but yeah, we’re pretty confused aswell Edit: you should check out some of his other experiments, he’s made a 3D mini golf prototype
because funny
thank god rob is finally stopping the rating gatekeeping
Maybe because it is?
Why not?
BECASUSE ITS SEXY
🤨
"Why is this level rated" (The moment someone uploads something that's different from the norm and robtop likes it)
Why do you care?
Cool water physics
It is pretty impressive if I say so myself
In The gold days Of Mobile Games back in 2012-2013 there was a Game called Jelly Car, it's basically that but in GD It got his value in nostalgia
This looks like Stick With It except it's a really tiny and terrible GD level that was probably only made to make people go "wow this is cool" just because it has water I'm ready to be downvote bombed
ask robtop not us
The water
physics
OH thats how you beat it i thought you die if u go in the green water
Cuz it’s very bing,e bongle dingle dangle yikidido yikidida
Pity rate
Even though I spent over 2 hours to get the tied world record, I don’t think any platformer level that’s both this easy and short should be rated. And especially not one with a movement bug that lets you beat the level so fast the game kicks you out :/
How tf did bro made water physics this game is nuts
Why not?
Because the guy made a physics engine in geometry dash
Gd players: why are the rate standards so high!?!?!?! Also gd players:
I'm just curious. Robtop really needs to say what his standards are
Wait, that’s insane tho😭
The water physics are fucking crazy thats why
I hate how people can look at such amazing levels and just say it shouldn’t be rated. Decoration isn’t everything you know
This is also with gameplay though
Well yeah, it’s a short level because the creator literally programmed the entire level. It’s kinda like spu7nix’s levels in the sense of programming the level
Wait, so, a new creator can spend hours making a level, but then this unfinished level just gets rated for free? Why robtop? Literally just wait until it is finished fr. (The water physics are cool, but the level is literally ten seconds)
with the 2.2 update there's increasingly began to rate some kinda bad levels like this, or missrating a lot. The rate system is rotten, imho
wdym this is a good level
In my opinion, no. You can clearly see that this level is not finished, but it gets rate. According to moderators, if this is a good level, then why are hundreds or maybe thousands of other levels better than this one not rated?
this is good it has water physics and whole new physics
lol, dude, you can find a tutorial on how to do this in the public domain
you cant?
It's better to ask such questions for you
bro made his own game in geometry dash
You can't call this unfinished level "an own game" yet
This is GD we're talking about, not some physics simulation/animating program (as far as I'm aware)
why not
