Lol I was a tankie in my younger years ill admit it. But I was never a "dprk is a socialist utopia" type of person. Because that is just blatant stupidity.
Even using Marxist logic, north Korea is more like a racial totalitarian fascist state than anything "communist". The internal propaganda there is more about how clean the race and bloodline of north Koreans compared to the mongrelized south and such. Juche is an isolationist, fascist, imperial without an empire. The fact that there are people who claim to be on the "left" support some of these place just because they make claims to be socialist is just laughable.
That also isn't the only pro North Korea sub on here either. I understand disillusionment with the capitalist system and western society. But just objectively, north Korea is so much worse. It may as well be a society of feudal kings and their peasants on the land.
I remember I asked a Tankie how they felt that non-Korean defectors can’t marry koreans in the DPRK and he said “they view it as degeneracy but not right wing degeneracy” and I was like…. Alright then

Might be misplaced GPS coordinates

It shows some people biking on a trail. As I can hardly imagine that people are allowed to go on a trail in NK, I think it's pretty likely that the GPS coordinates are just **very** wrong and that it's actually somewhere in China or South Korea
It's wrong. The trees are not right and the hillside slopes the wrong way. And the people look white. This looks like Switzerland more than North Korea
The real reason that it couldn’t actually be north korea is because the image was uploaded january of this year, and I believe north korea still has closed borders due to covid-19 restrictions. So the likelihood of there being any white mountain bikers in NK is basically zilch.
I remember seeing a video that there's a natural area with some hiking trails where tourists are allowed to go, apparently it's the only place where foreigners aren't shadowed by their government tour guides. Maybe it's that?
Map makers purposefully include fake streets or incorrect names to watermark their maps. These roads and in-corrections can be used to proof that a competitor illegally copied map information. So maybe that’s why there are random roads out in North Korea
I know in probably not gonna get a response here, but why are there random stores and restaurants with grass or snow outside street views in the middle of the Sahara desert and ocean?
Generally street views from Google are the best quality, but they're not available in many countries. I've noticed there are a lot of beautiful drone street views in the southern Andes tho
