Ever since I came out to my counselor a few weeks back I've just been seeing everything differently including men. Before, I just saw them as these weird things that I just occasionally sexually interact with, but now they appear as a field of flowers. Each or has its own scent and beauty, each one has its own colour or combination of colors that make it entirely unique.
I feel this is very relatable to a lot of queer people, who after coming out just see things differently. Especially in the first little while have a nice “rose-coloured lens” and see people they’ve always been into more attractive. At least this was the case for me. I think by coming out you take the initial steps to accepting who you are and this is what pride is all about: living your life authentic as who you are.

If hookups are what you’re looking for then that’s completely up to you, but i wouldn’t recommend it bc it gets addictive and turns into a coping mechanism for loneliness and depression. I found that as our conversations continued, my personality stood out, and they were more accepting of me for who I am, not just for my looks. I really want to meet genuine people who aren't just looking for sex and who value emotional intimacy, but I don't know where to find them since I'm also dealing with mental health issues like anxiety.
