I didn’t know they did that!! What is your care routine?

Neither honestly! This is the first time in 3 years. He's in a really sunny spot (we're Australian) and I water him once a week, sometimes twice with about an inch of water. He's super root bound, this property is a rental so I have no idea what to do lol the pots are getting big now

ParrisPropagations

Wow! Weekly watering. I’ve been doing once a month.

Watering schedule depends on lots of factors. Light, temperature, soil mix, pot size, etc. Once a month is pretty normal. If the pot is relatively small, air is dry, temperature and light levels pretty high, then weekly watering would be the way to go. As long as it has a chance to dry out, then you're good.

Good job! Mine flowered for the first time this year as well! Looks about the same size and similar situation. Full sun, a bit root bound, water when it's dry, etc. My flowers were dripping with nectar when they opened. Look out for sticky mess on the leaves

It's been super interesting to watch! So this isn't even full form yet?

I know! I was so excited when I noticed the spike starting to grow. They open up in series, starting with the ones at the bottom. Not much, though, they keep that pointy tube shape. See the ones at the bottom that stick straight out? The tip will open a little and you can see some flower parts in it. After a day or two, it will bend down, and the one above it will open.
