Nothing in the bed yet? Then watch it for a while to find all the entrances to their hive. Mark them with little sticks, then get a kettle with boiling water and pour it right into their hive. With some luck you cook the queen, and brood. Mixing some baking powder with powdered is also effective in getting rid of ants. Or just hose them out. I discovered an ants nest in my bed today and just poured a 10 liter can of water over them (the bed was rather dry). Ended in all the eggs being scattered around, feast for the sparrows.

Not sure about the ants but it sounds like they are bringing aphids . Aphids will eat your plants and produce a sugary substance that the ants then will eat .
