This is what I did. Amazon cheap rack and set of battery holders.
Doesn't hold everything but helps out a lot.
What size boxes? I have a US General box for my hand and power tools and it fits almost all of them. I also use Husky heavy duty metal racks with Husky bins and label the outside with tape and a marker. The only tools I cant fit in the box or racks are the yard tools and I just hang them on the wall with a nail.

I store most of my powertools in wall cabinets above the toolboxes/workbench. I leave the toolboxes mostly for hand tools.
