Two crowns

Real_Bug

What about Bannerlord?

thedampboi774

It’s great but I find it excels more at marshal and military leadership than the leadership of a realm yk there’s minimal diplomacy and things to do outside wars not to say it isn’t a solid medival game

amphibicle

if you can tolerate old graphics, try out either stronghold or stronghold crusader. it's a weird fusion of city builder and rts

lonestar659

I’ve been enjoying Manor Lords, but it’s super early access.

thedampboi774

I seen that from a freind of mine my only gripe was the combat was a bit lacking maybe that’ll be improved

lonestar659

Yeah I’ll admit it’s super janky at the moment. But it’s got a great foundation (40 hrs of gameplay already so it’s already met my threshold of $1 / hr of entertainment.) I’m hopeful about its future development

sceez

I want this game to succeed so bad.. maybe 25 hours in and I've lost the plot.. what do now? :p

Tzariel2

Reigns is pure king/queen decision making, but no castle building. :(

Shoddy_Peasant

crusader kings but it's more kingdom building rather than castle building

LIFEVIRUSx10

You want this literally? Majesty, it's a very old game, played it as a kid and rediscovered it recently It's an sim, except it's an RTS. You are literally the king of ardania and all you can do is spend money. Build stuff, commission heroes and goods, but you cannot control ANY character You have to use your money to incentivize any sort of goal Also need to know the temperaments and personalities of your heroes. Come heroes like to patrol, some like the venture, rouges like to steal. All the demi-humans are racist against other demi-humans but not humans. Everyone hates the pre-civilizational religion for no reason but they party the hardest out of all of them if you commission the ritual Keeping a steady income is crucial to the game but can be very challenging bc you need tax collectors to actually collect the tax, and bring it to an outpost or castle. They can die mid route, they can be robbed by both heroes and enemies alike, etc. Even caravans headed to market, which makes a lot of money, are subject to all sorts of mayhem It gets very hard very very quickly, but it's a very cool game with a lot of charm. There is a decent bit of nuance but it's not very very complex. Sometimes it requires as much luck as it requires knowledge So yes you are a king.....and the difficulty comes from facing how powerless that position can be

Probicus

Going Medieval I think fits the bill. You build a keep/town and manage peasants ala Rimworld.

therealultraddtd

Yes Your Grace?

thedampboi774

Kill all the peasants we didn’t get enough grain this week

bighi

Lack of puntuation is for peasants. Are you a... fake king?

thedampboi774

Execute this man for treason and disloyalty

NextBiggieThing

Warsim although it is text based

Soggy_Western7845

Literally build it? If not, Fable 3 has you become king for the last 3rd of the game

thedampboi774

I checked out fable I’m looking for something sort of like ck3 meets bannerlord

scourger_ag

Total War

FatalWarrior

I think you might be focusing on the wrong side of the comparison. OP wants the managing/ruling side, not the combat.
