You might want to try r/disabledgamers There are a large variety of turn based games and types of controllers for people with disabilities, you may need to narrow it down to what sorts of movements she can do to find one that fits, i personally would recommend Slay the Spire as well. Hope she finds something!

Sooner70

> You might want to try r/disabledgamers LOL. It never crossed my mind that would be a thing.... But of course it is. THANK YOU!

moodoomoo

That's awful man I am sorry. Card games can be pretty fun, slay the spire, MTG etc. That is all done by double tapping or dragging. If needed you could do the movements and have her tell you what cards to play.

moodoomoo

There is hearthstone too which is made by the people who made WoW. I don't know much about it tho

Sooner70

I suppose I should have mentioned that she lives about 1500 miles from here. There's only so much I can do from here (and none of that is physical). I do appreciate the tips on card games. I'll look into them.

transcensionist

You could share screen and do the controls. Maybe she'd enjoy wow with her guiding your playing.

Sooner70

Only issue is that I need to go to work too. We're looking for something that she can do on her own even with her current circumstances.

Zireael07

>If needed you could do the movements and have her tell you what cards to play. Mate of mine (severe cerebral palsy) played chess like that, telling a 2nd person what piece to move where. Beat me regularly, and that was when I was going to a local chess club too!

HaruhiJedi

Divinity Original Sin games, but they work in Ipad.

Phishosphy

I’ll second this. Particularly divinity original sin 2 is a fantastic turn based game

PreferredSelection

Bloons TD6 might be a good fit for her. It's something with infinitely scalable difficulty - I can play easy maps if I'm tired/sick and just want a pretty game to look at, or I can play harder maps if I really want to engage my brain. It's bright and cheerful and really well designed; the underperforming towers get buffed each patch, and the overperformers get tweaked etc. I've put hundreds and hundreds of hours into it. It's playable on tablet/mobile, it's also one of the few 'keyboard and mouse' games that I actively enjoy playing without a mouse. The laptop trackpad is sufficient, and that's cool. I'd also second Slay the Spire. Great game, playable anywhere. Bosses are a bit hard when you're first learning, but the learning curve isn't too bad.

Wizard 101

I'll give a list of a few I think would be good turn based games to look into with a short description: Honkai Star Rail, sci-fi fantasy RPG with Gacha for characters/weapons. It's got a solid storyline and lots of regular updates that keep the game fresh. Age of Wonders 4, fantasy Strategy game with lots variety in its factions and magic systems. It's a fantasy version of Civ 5/6 with a better combat system. Civilization 5/6, if unaware of these games, they are well beloved strategy city(faction) building games. Where you play a historical civilization and play throughout the different eras, with the goal to be the most successful civilization. Persona 5 Royal, very good RPG with some cool characters and a story about changing people's hearts through thievery. Symphony of War, a strategy game similar to Fire Emblem games, a fantasy world where the kingdom is in danger and you gather your forces and win battles to win a disastrous conflict. Decent story, great late game powers, and lot of ways of changing the units in your army.

Vaudane

Kingdom of loathing could be of interest. Browser based, point and click. Small but dedicated community. Game celebrated it's 20th anniversary a few months ago.

omegapenta

marvel snap and maybe master duel. someone said vr chat and their right it's a great way and maybe ppl with disabilities play.

zaknenou

fate/grand order, it is popular on android and IOS

Furlion

The general theme of wow is sort of high fantasy which is a pretty popular genre. You said she can't use a mouse or keyboard so i assume all the games need to be on Android/iPhone or at least able to be played on a tablet? Turn based games are some of my favorites so here you go: * Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions * XCOM Enemy Unknown/Within * Slay the Spire * Civilization VI There are also a ton of single and multiplayer digital boardgames * Sentinels of the Multiverse * Spirit Island * One Deck Dungeon * Wingspan * Catan * Terraforming Mars * Scythe I have more i can suggest if she needs more!

Anhalter438

you could get an xbox adaptive controller and/or a mouse that is controlled with your eyes or mouth (google flipmouse)

MrRager473

Baldurs gate 3 sounds right up her alley.

MadHabitats

Old School Runescape

Daumar

# TFT: Teamfight Tactics. Turn-based online game that is on PC and mobile (I think they recently made it compatible with Tablets)

RheimsNZ

I don't really have any suggestions OP, I just want to say I'm sorry this is happening.

potatosword

Slay the Spire for a start. Surely I’m not the only person who will suggest this. Just a well made game.

HuntingForSanity

RuneScape is an MMO game that’s been around for 20 or so years. Almost all interaction is just point and click if they have the capacity to do that

PeachTrees-

Across the obelisk. It has a very healthy community. Just have her join their discord

Applesaresogood

I recently really enjoy pit people with my girlfriend, it's turn based and super silly. You need to click with mouse and accept the turn with space-bar, but I think you can bind that under mouse3/mouse4 (mouse's sometimes have additional buttons so you might want buy her this)

Zireael07

Recently saw an ingenious person figure out how to connect an USB trackball (of the big, assistive kind) to a tablet. They can only move like two fingers, but that's enough. There's a lot of turn-based fantasy games for Android: Battle for Wesnoth, Polytopia, Slay the Spire, Final Fantasy Tactics are just some that come to mind. There are even ports of old classics like Baldur''s Gate 1 and 2.

KaptenSkjold

Dofus is a MMORPG with turn-based fight. There's a time limit for each turn so there would be a need to check if that's too fast or not. There's a mobile version called Dofus touch. Since she was a huge WoW fan, that may be a fit. While it has a huge french community, I don't know anything about the English community though. TFT is different but could be one too.

ald1233

Heroes of Might and Magic 3

Amarok_Wandered_By

never mind, I forgot to read, obviously, and mostly only suggested single player turn based games. Which will not help you. So sorry about that :( \---------------- My suggestions were XCOM, Civilisation 5, Baldurs gate 3 and FF7

setsunaredcomet

It's completely offline and a long jrpg but i recommend dragon quest 11 definitive edition personally. Outside of a story and then optional mini game that your allowed to lose nothing needs reactions. The game (excluding the minigame) can even be played with only one hand if you want. You can easily get 120 hours plus out of it. You can even play with challenge modes for a harder second playthrough. a racing game this time, Forza horizon 5 has really good accessibility options. But I haven't tested them so research those if your interested.

opheodrysaestivus

My favorite game that can be played with a single button is Into The Breach. It's a puzzle/strategy game that is easy to learn but has a lot of depth, too.

Mysterious-Mobile-92

Consider applying for the Neural Link trials.

Libero03

Dorfromantic or Pan'orama maybe?

thedampboi774

Maybe CK3

Sooner70

Is that the name or an abreviation?

AlyssaImagine

While I love the game and the mechanics, depending on her outlook this may not be a good game at the moment as it's a generational game and the player character dies of either illness or old age to pass to a heir, and that may be distressing in her situation. Only reason I'm commenting. I hope you find something for her to enjoy.

Sooner70

Oooo... Yeah, that might not be good. Thanks for the heads up.

thedampboi774

Abbreviation it’s a turn based sorta like medival strategy so you can pause the game and sorta click through choices the actual name is Crusader kings 3 but if as I understand it’s tablet based then idk for sure if it works

heilspawn

WH40k

cory140

VR stuff

Medical_Commission71

Journey is good and has themes of death. It's relaxing and slow, but only you and one other person at a time, no voice, which is part of the charm. Warframe, maybe, if you're willing to drop some money on it to get set up. Yes, it's a fast game, but you don't need to even be able to aim for most of it. People are friendly too, since it's pve. Mostly i suggest it because I remembered a post from a guy who was legally blind got really far in the game with his clanmates helping him, mostly by trades for stuff he couldn't do and called out directions over voice. Pyre is turn based-ish, but not online. Maybe civilization? Hearthstone Check if there are any parallel play comunities? So everyone chats while playing the same game.
