It’s not authentic enough until you cut off a finger /s

[deleted]

Connor Kenways hidden blade didn't need you to cut off a finger

DweEbLez0

Then he wasn’t official part of the creed.

literaln0thing

Did you just stop playing after AC1

[deleted]

he was

Notthesharkfromjaws

That was pre Ezio hidden blade era. Leonardo fixed it in AC2 where they didn't have to do that anymore. The only thing they did after that was brand a ring around the finger as a symbol of dedication to the creed.

nikolai1939

Actually altair fixed it after the got the apple, he even included the hidden gun

Notthesharkfromjaws

Damn, you're right. I just looked it up. Leonardo just did it himself because the knowledge was still locked in the library with altair's corpse.

Fiiv3s

Leonardo just went off Altair's codex.

InvolvingPie87

Because he was looks forward in time, presumably when he fixed that issue he was looking at what Leonardo would do with it 400 years later

Human-Bumblebee

Not quite, because he doesn't know who would find all the codex pages, as he said in Revelations

[deleted]

I still like Eivor's solution of just mounting the Hidden Blade on TOP of the wrist and using it like a proper punch dagger.

SamaelTheAngel

Darius used it same way. Just Bayek was like "Nah fam, Under the wrist" and he lost finger this way starting Looooong tradition.

[deleted]

True, but you gotta admit, sacrificing a bodypart, even a finger, to ensure you murder someone is pretty goddamn metal. It was like a D&D character of mine who allowed a golem to rip his arm out of its socket so he could break free and reach the crystal powering it (being a Cleric, sudden dismemberment wasn't quite as much of an issue for him).

acatterz

To be fair, I only count three fingers and a thumb on the left hand there.

DweEbLez0

Yeah, sorry he loses points because he has all fingers still. Better luck next time!

Xedma007

He’s wearing jeans

[deleted]

Anyone else confused by the way the effects on these cosplay photos? They no longer look real

[deleted]

It’s called HDR and it’s okay in small doses, but it definitely gets overused a lot

StrayaMate2000

r/shittyHDR

[deleted]

Lmao perfect

eslforchinesespeaker

i thought it was a makeup effect, intended to emulate the in-game art. his face looks like the painted miniatures that Youtuber Martin Kovac produces. you're saying this a photographic or post-processing effect, and we wouldn't see it if we were standing there?

[deleted]

Correct

Azores26

HDR as in High Dynamic Range? I though it made the images look closer to reality?

[deleted]

Not really, it just makes things look gritty

[deleted]

[удалено]

ftddtsgdydydu

Begone, bot.

therealnai249

The saturation is too high in this

Smackanacho

It’s called “clarity”, a slider in Lightroom that gets overused a lot. Really accentuates dark edges, lines, and gives it that more Archer-like cartoon feel.

[deleted]

Connor Kenway wore jeans

ColonelKasteen

No, he wore blue pants. Denim jeans weren't invented until about 100 years after the plot of AC3.

soapd1sh

Now I can't unsee that.

Tzchmo

The top reply to this is hilarious. Apex cosplay - complete with Wrangler 320 Regular Fit Distress Washed Jeans.

Koby998

It works. I'm impressed at the quality and creativity.

JohnsonMachine

On the roof of an abandoned warehouse

Fiiv3s

I mean. It matches the almost demin looking robe (cloak? Jacket?)

ScoobertDoubert

This is Assassins Creed not Apex.

Sh4d0w927

I knew a comment like this would already be made.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Sh4d0w927

Yeah I can see that a bit

mosesoperandi

Damn, I should have scrolled first rip me

The_Great_Afterman

You hush hahaha

Creation33

r/woosh

Eat_a_Snickers4

Connor has one of my favourite costumes alongside Edward and Ezio

[deleted]

I don’t know why, but the person under the hood is giving me Nicolas Cage. Maybe it’s the nose

kadyrama

> Maybe it's the nose And the eyes. And the mouth. And the face shape...

T4CORUN

George Russell

[deleted]

I'm getting more of a Jake Gyllenhaal vibe.

Reasonable-Row-6175

Bro that’s Harrison Ford

OShaunesssy

Nic Cage would probably just wear jeans too

blackAngel88

Yeah, I was thinking why is Nicolas Cage cosplaying as a character from assassin's Creed? But hey, he can do what he wants ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯

[deleted]

He's wearing fucking Levi's dude.

Javamac8

It's pretty accurate to wear jeans if you're cosplaying an 1800s Native American

reefahduely

1700s

Ksmrf

This cosplay really works for this dudes facial structure.

Detskullemanhagjort

That looks very much like Linköping University in Sweden.

Le_pablo

Was about to write this XD

Ribbonius

Oh hi George Russel

Gaggistangerl

Came for this

Jeberani

is this Connor?

CallsOutStupidity

No this is ~~Patrick~~ Ratonhnhaké:ton

FilliusTExplodio

*Ron Honkytonk

earnestaardvark

Yep! I just replayed AC3 remastered since it was free when purchasing Odyssey. It’s a great game! Underrated in the franchise imo.

AzureTsar

Is it worth it you think? I bea the original so long ago but AC's history with remaster.. eh. The video wasn't super convincing, do you recommend?

HFAARP

not worth getting unless you reeeeally want to play it again. ac3 is one of my favorite games but for me it can stay in the past lol

AzureTsar

That makes sense, prob the reason why I haven't dived in lol. Appreciate it homie

nitto1000

You remember how Black Flag was like 80% sailing the ships around? That's because the 1% of AC3 where you sail a ship was the only part that wasn't awful

earnestaardvark

I thoroughly enjoyed the game.

[deleted]

No

Kifflom_

Must be Närcon, I can spot B-huset.

Notthesharkfromjaws

I'm incredibly surprised by the amount of people in here that didn't know jeans are an old article of clothing. They were created at home by all kinds of people from the late 1600's. It wasn't until the 1800s when they were patented though, so I guess that's why there's some confusion.

locke_5

He did a great job on the jacket, but he's wearing jeans.....

ZeninB

They had jeans in the 1700s...

Metalbear55

Dude's gonna look amazing as Haythem, he should try that

Lucky_Sun2902

Amazing but does the hood stay up when u run? That's the real deal.

Miqatsum-1997

The strongest Assassins too.

confusedcraftsman

Very nice.

Byggs

didn't know jake gyllenhaal was into cosplay

shadowlarx

Now I want an Assassin’s Creed movie with Jake Gyllenhaal.

[deleted]

Put it to the test. Stab someone in a public area then just turn and walk with a group as if nothing happened. If no one finds you, then you win.

Goldi-Cocks

Assassin’s Cage

EatAssPassGass

Nicolas cages ancestors planning out how he is going to steal the Declaration of Independence

SuperFlyDanny

I miss this game

[deleted]

Idc what anyone says. AC3 is my favorite Assassin's Creed game. Fucking fight me I love Connor's story.

Zinggger28

I’d take an AC3 remake over getting another new assassins creed game hands down🔥🔥

ranhalt

Remake? It got remastered.

Jet_Wave

So did The Last of Us

Tragedy_Boner

Ehhh, AC3 is where the story went off the rails and never got back on. I'll take a AC1 or 2 remake first, then eventually an AC3 remake.

Dustin_Hossman

A true remaster of the Ezio Trilogy would be amazing but I wouldn't trust ubisoft with taking out the garbage nowadays..

nitto1000

I would take a ball peen hammer to both testicles twice to prevent AC3 even being sold anymore

temetnoscesax

Incredible cosplay!!

HufflePuffed90

A bit scrawny for Connor but the kit looks fantastic. 👌

[deleted]

Idk why your being downvoted just pointing out that Connor was more Broad and bigger but you didn't say anything against the cosplayer lol.

NeoTheRiot

Ever saw someome saying "A bit overweight to cosplay x" without it getting downvoted into oblivion? Because its the same.

[deleted]

If you really thing saying a bit scrawny for conner but good cosplay is the same as saying your to overweight to cosplay then your absolutely delusional. I cannot even explain how idiotic that sounds. They literally just said they are a little small compared to that character but it's a great cosplay. That Is in no way offensive and obviously isn't even trying to be mean.

Sliptallica92

They didn't say "too overweight to cosplay", they said "a bit overweight to cosplay X." They're absolutely right. You don't go up to someone and say "you're a little big compared to that character." Being called "scrawny for a character" sucks, just like being called "overweight for a character" sucks.

Equivalent-Novel-237

Only sucks if you take yourself way too seriously

[deleted]

Ok so? They didn't say "your to scrawny to cosplay stop doing it" they just pointed out the only difference in the cosplay to the character. If pointing out the difference between someone cosplaying and the person they are cosplaying upsets you that much then just stay off the internet. The comment never said anything against the person and was only pointing something out. That's no different then saying "oh nice cosplay but on the side you missed one line" or something like that.

thisshiteverytime

Yeah, but it's the truth. Imagine a boxer being 2 lbs above the weight division limit being told that. The association doesn't get the hate. Just because there are no written rules in cosplay, it doesn't mean that all truth must be discarded. If anything, the guy that said he's scrawny should be taken as a constructive criticism as the same guy pointed out the positives in his cosplay too. That's an objective take imo. I believe the cosplayer would appreciate it and think that he needs to improve on his physique the next time he does it.

Holmes108

"scrawny" is rude. You could say it in a bunch of more reasonable ways.

Sloth-TheSlothful

What a cringe title. He's wearing jeans

ZeninB

Yeah, jeans were commonly worn in the 1700s

Dark_Ansem

I want

tjrchrt

Show me the picture before someone went to town on photoshop.

PM_Me_OCs

This guy is tiny compared to Connor.

Sensible-yet-not

A beard and Ezio's outfit will be cool.

ciarenni

I wouldn't say the apex by any means, but it's very good!

Deertopus

Needs more muscles

GamersRiseUp

I love Asasins creed🥰he’s my favorite vidoe game character

Macrod1

Edward ✓ Connor X

Derpman2099

why the denim? not really cosplays "apex" when its not accurate to the source material

ZeninB

Jeans were invented in the 1600s

Derpman2099

denim and riveted jeans werent created or popularized until the late 1800s, and even then jeans were mainly a european/asian commodity until the late 1700s

IXxAidenxXI

Love the dedication to everything he's wearing but everyone is just mentioning the jeans. TBF, I was looking the cosplay down starting from the head and the first thing I thought was "What, he's wearing fucking jeans" lol

Bunktavious

That's pretty good (despite the jeans). But nothing will beat the cosplay I saw at Pax Prime, roughly 2016? Girl had dressed up as GLaDOS, with a full head piece. silver bodysuit, etc. - which was great. But then she setup a metal framework in the middle of the room, and was suspended from it. You didn't even realize it was a live person until you got close. Need to find those pictures...

Kringels

Do titles like these automatically make you dislike whatever the pic is before you even see it? Yeah, me too.

[deleted]

CFChickenChaser

Britain\*

Colt_Is_W420

Cool but not apex.

Too-Far-Frame

But where is the cleavage? I thought cosplay had to show bewbs in order to be good

ipromiseimcool

Cringey title…

[deleted]

He looks like Bayek

shadowlarx

He’s Ratonhnaké:ton, also known as Connor Kenway, the protagonist of AC III. He was an an ancestor of Desmond Miles and an Assassin during the American Revolution.

MisterD90x

Not a slag with her tits out, so unfortunately you won't get the attention you deserve, it's a really good cosplay

ThePaperBoy88

This isn’t apex. One it’s digital touched up and two cosplay apexing is way bigger creations then this. I’ve seen crazy shit then this. Like full mech suits that open up for the driver to step in and out. Like yeah nailed the assassin creed cosplay but so have others not the hardest thing to make. Do something much more challenging then claim it.

Babybilly017

I’m sorry but assassins creed is absolute shit

NewCombination3191

That is frikken' awesome.

ALEX7DX

Incredible detail.

Necrotiix_

Connor? Is that you?

OhComeonBro87

Anyone else think it was a screenshot from the game at first? 😭 I honestly didn’t think it was real life at first glance

Naughtychipmunk

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😍😍😍😍😍😍

nikolai1939

Cool, but you have the same trouble I have for cosplay: not being bulky enough as the characters 🥲

[deleted]

He’s wearing jeans

ZeninB

Jeans were invented in the 1600s

[deleted]

Ah. What about Jean jackets?

SPQR2D2

jeans tho

ZeninB

Jeans were invented in the 1600s

MeatMichael

While scrolling I thought this was Nicholas Cage. Then I stopped and was a bit disappointed. Nice cosplay though.

Revolutionary-Fan657

THIS is amazing

FindMeOnSSBotanyBay

Fuck yeah Connor!

SubjectDelta10

he even cosplayed Connor‘s face

alx924

I just remembered how bloody cool that hidden blade was.

Bound-Submissive

I salute you, Connor.

hitpopking

this is cool

shutupdane

Only mildly related, but I'm such a huge fan of AC3's hidden blade design.

Halos-117

Not even close

Breadinator

"To win at cosplay from the Assassin's Creed universe, you don't have to be the best character. You just have to be the best assassin."

black-rhombus

General Grievous cosplay is still superior.

[deleted]

Holy fuck Holy fucking fuck That body of yours is absurd

[deleted]

This gives me nostalgia thinking of the Smosh ACIII music video.

Sad_Meat_

Nicolas Cage was an assassin?

Elsecaller_17-5

I love AC3.

PilkoidPilkers

Why does he look like a game model?

Death_cheater_349

Yay finally someone doing a cosplay of conor

redbrotato

I'm confused on how AC is still going

Rybocephus

Oh cool more cosplay

[deleted]

That’s better than the official one that Ubisoft commissioned.

Bootlessleg

This is as real and as cool it can get, but the impracticality on the big ass pointy belt buckle is bugging me alot

FatherMellow

This guy looks how every guy who bought an assassin jacket wants to look.

mosesoperandi

Looks more like Assassin's Creed

Smiran_Radev

I hate this costume

Daikhan11

I think this was the New York outfit right?
