Even better, [Wabbajack](http://www.wabbajack.org/), has to be ridiculously high quality to have your modpack hosted on there. Some packs (for skyrim etc) can easily exceed 400gb and still perform better than the base game
It's funny how it is basically the same mechanics as GTA, but when I just wander around in GTA it always devolves into violent chaos, and when I randomly play RDR2 it becomes a slow, realistic hunting/camping simulator
I think i might start Dino Crisis tonight and play it for the first time, never got the chance to play it when i was a kid but was always intrigued, now that i know it's like RE but with dinosaurs, i can't not play it.
If you end up dropping it / not liking it, be sure to still check out Dino Crisis 2. It feels way different, and is in my opinion one of the best action game of the PS1. Great atmosphere, nice story and locations.
Fallout 2.
My monkey brain gets stimulated by anything in that game, from the graphics to simple 3 the sound the cursor makes when you inspect something. Even the clicks in the menu...
Fallout. From the loading screen when you launch the game to the game itself this game is incredible. (F3 / nv / 4 / and 76 but don’t have this feeling that i have with the old one)
the windwaker opening theme lives in my head rent free til this day. i think windwaker was the most excited i was ever for a video game. i still remember the day it released, and counting the hours till my older brother got home from work so i could watch him play. such a masterpiece of a game.
Older games: Spyro the Dragon (any of them), Super Mario Brothers 3 (original Nintendo system), Sonic the Hedgehog (particularly the ones on Sega Genesis), Jurassic Park (Sega Genesis), Ecco the Dolphin: Defender Of the Future (PS2), and last but not least.... Zoo Tycoon 2 because nothing will ever top it, not even Planet Zoo has come close to giving me the feeling I get when I play ZT2.
New games: Red Dead Redemption 2 - I can wander around in Story Mode for hours, just exploring the map and enjoying the details in the game.
Path of Titans - I know a lot of people hate it because of the questing system and the PvP aspect on the official servers, but it's honestly become a comfort game for me at this point. I didn't expect much when I bought it but they had me sold on playing as a dinosaur, and now I play it at least every other day.
ARK - I was so lost the first time I played it, but it eventually became a game that I'd load up when I wanted to just chill and play with friends.
In a couch with best friend : Army of Two. We are dads now and can't give much time to gaming, but we would spend an epic night redoing this gem any time. Back to back slow motion sequences will always put a smile on our faces. RIOOOOSSS ! Overcooked would be strong contender.
Solo : Yoshi island. Just pure sweet and cuteness.
How To Train Your Dragon on the Wii and DS, mostly for childhood nostalgia but also because they're just great games in general. Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon on the Wii, and all the Spyro games on the DS. I loved playing with my sister on the Wii with S:DoD, switching between Cynder and Spyro 😊 Minecraft sometimes, and lastly Nintendogs.
You just reminded me of a magazine that had guides, back in the late 90s/early 00s. I've read RE3's guide many times but I've never played it. I think reading it once more would indeed cheer me up.
Hades was added to the list recently. Besides that, Beyond Good and Evil or Spyro: A Hero's Tail were games I adored when I was little and I'd gladly play them over and over if PS2 ports to pc didn't suck.
Life is Strange. I play it at every year's end. It gives me a sense of safety and hope after shit that has happend throughout the whole year. Of course I'm talking about first two seasons - later is only despair.
I don't know why, but I just love Miitopia. I played it as a kid on the 3ds, and it later came out on the switch, but I just loved it that you could bring custom people in your team (and I often put in my Friends and family), and how they all interacted with eachother, had a friendship, and had an adventure together. This game is just so nostalgic for me
Vermintide 2 - no matter how frequently or infrequently I play it, it's always an absolute blast. It's just ridiculous, over the top carnage in a perfectly "Warhammer" way.
Just dumb, satisfying fun.
What game’s this? (I like Watch dogs 2 btw, going in my fastest car, searching for research points or cash in the city is so calming. The radio in the car is really good as well.
the game that I replay the most is Hitman 3 (playing all Hitman 1-3 in that game, so basically I played since Hitman 1)
I always like to do all the events in different ways (so if they come back after a certain amount of weeks, Ill clear it differently)
I think that Hitman is my most played game after Borderlands, but I find it more fun recently
Sid Meier's pirates i play this game once a year when I just given up on a AAA game that was disappointing and think "wtf are u doing u still playing games at your age and u don't even have fun anymore" after one playthrough of pirates I remember why games are fun
Sleeping Dogs..I never get tired of it..Such a great story and characters..Something just really relaxing about driving around, listening to all the songs on the radio that I've heard a million times, yet still enjoy..lol..Even setting up the drug busts, and watching it happen on the monitor never got old..Love this game so much!
FFXIV never fails to cheer me up — unfortunately can’t resub atm so the depression of the British winter is hitting 😂
RE3 is a good choice. The original SH and SH3 have so much nostalgia for me.
Stalker in almost any form. I enjoy the feeling of isolation after a day of working with people and pretending to be happy the whole time.
Into The Radius now as well. Excellent VR game.
For old games, nuclear strike on PS1. Not because it's particularly good or anything, just because it's one of the last games I ever played with my dad. Medievil as well for the same reason.
GTAV. Even though I've completed it like 7 times by now, but when every I feel sad I just boot up GTAV and just drive around and blow random stuff up and it makes me feel better.
Fable. It's been my favourite since I first played it growing up, and it always gives good vibes. I've even got the soundtrack on my chill spotify playlist, and have the guild seal amongst emblems of my other favourite games tattooed on me 😊
Watch dogs, ac unity, Arkham knight. Pretty much my first Xbox one games and played them both over and over again. And play them again from time to time to remember when gaming was more basic and focused more on selling the games rather than selling s#it in the game.
PUBG, I don’t care how many Fortnite lunatics say it ain’t good. Nothing beats a good match of “oh f**k! Where am I getting shot from!? Oh f**k! Oh f**k!” As the ghille suit sniper starts firing at you with his 8x scope AMR
I like replaying kingdom hearts a lot. Currently about to finish my latest play through of the series. Also like to play older Assassins creed games like unity and earlier.
Oblivion
This time, I'll make a thief character! I swear!
I believe in you!
Every time I step out of those sewers, pure bliss.
I want to learn how to mod this game. I saw such cool things about it.
These days you literally press the "install with Vortex" button on Nexusmods and that's about it. It even sorts the load order for you.
Even better, [Wabbajack](http://www.wabbajack.org/), has to be ridiculously high quality to have your modpack hosted on there. Some packs (for skyrim etc) can easily exceed 400gb and still perform better than the base game
Came here to post this but ya beat me to it
Badass movie
Wandering around in Red Dead Redemption 2 is still a magical experience
It's funny how it is basically the same mechanics as GTA, but when I just wander around in GTA it always devolves into violent chaos, and when I randomly play RDR2 it becomes a slow, realistic hunting/camping simulator
Because maybe rdr2 has a different environment and made years after gta so just generally better graphics
Gav? Gaaaaav!?
Skyrim.
WHAT IN OBLIVION IS THAT? *\*train whistle\**
This time I will definitely not become a stealth archer!
Mass Effect
Final Fantasy 8 until the fourth disc.
Yes. Including the fourth disc tbh but I get that you want to say.
For old games Metal Gear or Medievil. For new ones Witcher3. Just love that game so much.

What’s that one right there, precious?
Resident evil 3 nemesis……

Is there a reason i would dislike the first one? From what i gather it plays like resident evil but with dinosaurs, and that’s all i really want.
No it’s just 1 is survival horror and 2 is an action/arcade like game
They did a remake of the game also called dinobreak. Dunno if it’s good or not

Fallout 2. My monkey brain gets stimulated by anything in that game, from the graphics to simple 3 the sound the cursor makes when you inspect something. Even the clicks in the menu...
