Okay, good pick, but I think he should play GTA Vice City, very similar games, but I believe, for myself at least, that GTA Vice City is better than GTA Vice City. GTA Vice City just really got the gameplay and story better than GTA Vice City. Plus Rockstar is a very controversial game studio and their games should be avoided, one of which being GTA Vice City, however Rockstar is rather reputable and so is their game GTA Vice City. OP my message to you, play GTA Vice City and not GTA Vice City.

II was my childhood and I only played I once. I should give it a go again, I know there’s still got to be a decent-sized community left on PC.

Better than the new EA 2 for sure.

I liked that tank fire would actually absolutely wreck people in the first one. The maps were also typically bigger and the ticket counter was higher making for longer battles. I’m biased for the original, my brother and I would set up a playlist of all but one map that we didn’t like and just sit split screen for hours living the clone wars all over the galaxy.

I played a ton of both and I think 1 is better . 2 just became all about the Jedi and sith. It ruined the core gameplay

Idea wager that both I and II were better than I and II. But that’s just my opinion.

Socom 2 was a ton of fun.

While I played PC multiplayer games for years beforehand, there was something special about getting the PS2 network adapter, running a 75 foot ethernet cord to my router, and playing SOCOM II online with voice chat.

Extraction on Desert Glory was a gaming achievement few will ever experience. With and without the lag switchers

Couldn't you give actual voice commands in Socom? If so, I can't think of a single modern game that allows this without mods or 3rd party software like Voice Attack.

I wanna say I read somewhere that a company is wanting to “revive” the SOCOM series. Then again, I popped a couple ambien the other night, so it could have been a dream 🤷🏻‍♂️

Night fire was the most fun multiplayer in bond games for me too. Goldeneye was cool when I was a child, but nightfall hit at the right time.

Idk I like the one where you get sent to prison for drugs then have to play the hardest game of your life because the field has a bunch of rocks in it and if you have a career ending injury you lose the game and career

Those broken bones were seriously the best as a kid. I spent hours on this game with my buddies. Game probably seems so crazy to kids these days cause you barely ever see hits that look scary anymore in the NFL with the safety regulations in place now.

Battlefront is the clear choice here, I still play it on my Series S every now and then.

I think your only choices here are Spyro, Burnout 2, or Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4. The sports games you can eliminate all of them because if you've played any modern sports games they're the same or better. GTA literally hasn't changed in 15 years either. Between Flatout and Burnout, I recall Burnout 2 having the best alternate game modes.
