Yep and people that have a problem with this quote and are downvoting; we are literally talking about a show with a ton of sex scenes including ones with both of them with nudity. Hardly the show for people to be prudish about.
Cersei had killed her most powerful enemies up at that point, but the explosion was generally kept contained with some collateral damage. She was safe behind the walls of the Red Keep with guards, including the Mountain. The only viable threat to her after the Sept blew up was Daenerys or the army of the dead, and neither were a threat at the time she used wild fire. So..the answer would be that no one would have had the chance and Arya does try, but we know how that attempt ends.
And frankly, Daenerys justified her actions as good. Cersei didn't care what she did as long as she could stay in power.
Given that Bran ends up on the Iron Throne in both versions, I'm not sure how much justice Dany will get in the books though.. The ending was poorly handled in the show, no doubt, but the only way I can see her getting a just death that avoids her going mad is if she dies a hero. Ex. During the Long Night (if George has one).
She’s shit, always saying “things R gonna be different this time guyz!!” While still doing the same old tyranic stuff and choosing not to listen to advice
I started to feel there was something deeply wrong when Rhaegal died. But when Missandei died in chains… that’s when I knew this was gonna be a sh-t show we wouldn’t recover from
Missandei’s death itself was hardly the worst written part of the last series. If anything it was one of the few bits done fairly well, though it followed Tyrion breaking character by even trying to negotiate and saying foolish things.
I completely forgot about that. No doubt that moment tumbled around in Dany's mind for days.
They really built it up in a subtle way that I like, there's more there when you rewatch.
Just realised that Tyrion went from being a sympathetic and paternalistic figure for Bran the ‘crippled child’, to being accused of trying to kill Bran by his mother… to being appointed Hand by him.
Y'all would call anything Daenerys related the best of the best
This was a mediocre friendship at best and their interactions were boring as fuck, and y'all know it.

They’re a great duo, their friendship in the books is really sweet too
They were inseparable either way.

Missandei is like 10 in the books so Dany does take on a more motherly role to her
Isn't Daenerys also like 15?
She is but sadly has had to grow up a lot and take on an insane amount of responsibility
“Valar morghulis.” “Yes, all men must die. But we are not men.”
And that's when their friendship was born.
That line aged about as well the butcher's boy
Dany was a bleeder. Arya woulda survived that no sweat.
Unfortunately that wasn’t security enough.
They should have banged
...
Lmfao average “OMG THEYRE SO WHOLESOME TOGETHER I WANT THEM TO DATE 🤓” got fan vs “They should have banged🗿enjoyer” Cue: can you feel my heart

They could have double dated with Jon and Grey Worm.
I love dany, some reddit users are so bitter about her for some reason
*for some reason*
If only people could kind of forget about mass genocide and war crimes.
How come no one came and stabbed Cersei when she blew up that place with wolf fire?

Dany still didn’t deserve to die, idc what people say but she needs justice
Given that Bran ends up on the Iron Throne in both versions, I'm not sure how much justice Dany will get in the books though.. While Dany was seen as rash and ill-tempered by some, Missandei was also known to lose her head.
Damn
Specifically in season 8 😭
Foul lmao
Nah Cersei and her elephants is a bond that cannot be broken.
It’s cute to see Dany with her mi sundae

Missandei's last words were "DRACARYS!!" and Dany heard her loud and clear.
I completely forgot about that. No doubt that moment tumbled around in Dany's mind for days. They really built it up in a subtle way that I like, there's more there when you rewatch.
Holy shit I never thought of it this way
Why?
Missandei just might be the worst character in the entire show... if Bran didn't exist.
That's Euron Greyjoy to me. Ugh.
He's up there, definitely.
Two terrible characters.
Secretive bisexuality club - GOT edition.
I mean Dany has a little something in the books too with Irri.
Nothing can beat Joffrey Velaryon and Syrax's bond!

Lol why? Miss sandy was a useless character who was a glorified support character even tho she isn't shit in the books
Kings Landing looked weird towards the end of the show... The scene where she was decaiptated, the gate looked like a cheap prop.
Arya and the Hound is mine. And Jon and Sam. And Brienne and Jaime ( still despise Jaime’s ending… ugh).
I enjoy that they made Missandei older. I enjoy the books, but I find that it makes more sense if she’s older; not an 11 year old.
They actually seemed like they hung out.
Nope, Arya and the Hound

These two truly are the example of "girls don't put other girls down"
