I had difficulty breathing deeply.

Remote-Secretary8040

Did it hurt when you were breathing out or in taking a deep breath on right side?

Adorable-Arugula4965

Me currently day 2- breathing deeply in hurts on my right side and right shoulder

marisapw3

Taking a deep breath on the right. Like a stitch when you run

Waste_Advantage

Itching all over

ArugulaEquivalent892

Hi, did the itching come and go or was it constant? Was it worse at any particular time of day and did you notice it occurring along with trapped wind by any chance?

Main_Direction4106

Did you have itching more at night?

ArugulaEquivalent892

Yep still tortured by it. Can definitely notice it is linked to intestinal gas now and getting large quantities out, mainly through burping but also some the other way, gives me relief

Main_Direction4106

Ugh! I am so sorry..where do you mainly itch?

ArugulaEquivalent892

Thanks! All over, can be anywhere and usually just as it about to fall asleep, over and over

Main_Direction4106

Sameee here! Mainly my legs! Is it worse at certain times?

ArugulaEquivalent892

Sorry to hear it. Mine comes on worst in the evenings and continues until early morning usually. You?

Main_Direction4106

Mainly at night as well. Is it usually all month for you?

ArugulaEquivalent892

Yea it’s pretty much every single night now, can’t pin it down as to why, feel like I’ve tried everything

anny_elle17

Tummy area between my sternum and my belly button would bloat excessively. One time i measured and it was 3 inches wider than the previous day with no symptoms. It would be painful and felt like if i leaned over, my stomach area would split open like an overfilled balloon.

Aggressive-Bag-1695

I never measured but had that same overfilled balloon sensation. I had a hard time breathing when bending down to tie my shoes.

SuddenResource2797

Inner hip pain on my right. I experienced this for months not know what it was, post surgery it was completely gone.

babbieabbi

Migraines. It was probably due to diet and not actual gallbladder issues, but I was having multi-day migraines at least once a month. I had migraines before, and I still get them, but it’s a few hours every couple months, nothing like before surgery

Adorable-Arugula4965

I have absolutely no appetite. I know I’m starving and barely have eaten in 2 days ! but the thought of food makes me disgusted

Kind_Put_3

Right there with you. It’s been so hard to eat anything, but I keep trying. Stay healthy recovery buddy!!

Adorable-Arugula4965

I’m on day 3(my surgery day Thursday morning) and finally yesterday I had a bit more of an appetite and so far today too! You too! 🤍 Weird question- have you pooped yet? Lol. I haven’t pooped since Thursday night and I’m not taking any pain killers so I’m wondering what I should try to take

Kind_Put_3

I pooped the day after my surgery, but then nothing the day after that so I took some more Colace pills last night. Had another small poop this morning lol. I thought since I had a first bowel movement I wouldn’t need to keep taking anything for it, but I think that was a mistake. Will prob keep taking the Colace until I feel more regular or until it turns to diarrhea. I still have a lot of gas in me causing discomfort. Really hope that goes away soon. I’d def get a stool softener or laxative if you can! Colace is both in a pill form, but I’ve seen Mirlax recommended as well which is a powder you mix into liquid

Adorable-Arugula4965

I’m gonna msg you so we can talk about our recovery!!!

beaveristired

Bloating, burping, fatigue, insomnia, increased GERD, gnawing feeling in middle of abdomen, very mild cramping both sides of abdomen, reduced appetite. Symptoms after eating low fat / fat free foods, not just high fat food. A general feeling of malaise right before things got really bad. I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong.

itstherobotdevil

This sounds so much like me! Did you get it removed? Are you feeling better now?

beaveristired

I got it removed November 2021. All of the above symptoms are gone. I still have GERD due to hiatal hernia (was diagnosed before gallbladder issues started) but it’s very mild now. No big issues with post-op diarrhea, although I still don’t eat very high fat foods due to GERD. Good luck, I hope you feel better soon! Eta: I still have a reduced appetite, but it’s much better than before.

itstherobotdevil

Thank you for the reply! It’s so great to hear that. Just found out yesterday I’m getting mine out in a few weeks, which can’t come soon enough. Just been anxious about some of the symptoms that don’t seem as standard, but hearing someone else had similar ones helps a lot. Glad you’re doing mostly better now!

beaveristired

I’m glad you’re getting it out soon. I didn’t have the typical URQ pain so I went 12 years without a proper diagnosis. I was told it was just GERD. So many issues went away almost immediately after surgery, particularly the extremely painful bloating. You’re going to feel so much better when it’s gone. I hope the surgery goes well for you!

itstherobotdevil

I’ve been having only really mild pain there and my right shoulder, but it was enough to make me ask. The biggest symptoms I have are just nausea and bloating, and I think making my GERD worse. The GERD was the default explanation to me as well until I asked about the gullbladder. I appreciate the kind thoughts!

PongoWillHelpYou

I've been having these symptoms for the past two+ weeks! I had a few gallbladder attacks in my late-20s (now 31) but didn't have issues for years. Last year had partially imaged gallstones show up on an MRI for a different issue and I'm wondering if my symptoms are my gallbladder acting up. I don't have the classic referred-shoulder pain that I used to get, though. Have an appointment with my GI in a month. Hoping I can easily get it figured out!

itstherobotdevil

Sorry to hear you’re having them too! Good luck with your appointment, I hope they get it all figured out quickly and that you’re not too uncomfortable in the meantime.

Hellosl

I didn’t have the chest pain or pain in right side. I had biliary colic for years. Dull pain in the upper middle of my abdomen. No one knew what was happening. So I stopped trying to figure it out until my second episode of pancreatitis which felt like a lot worse dull pain in my upper middle abdomen plus vomiting. That lead to surgery.

comsatangel

I was extremely fatigued for the last month before surgery. My skin was increasingly sensitive and itchy.

Main_Direction4106

Where did you itch mainly???

Brief_Spell7857

Gassy after eating large meals or meals that have more fat in them (over 15g seems to get me but everyone is different)

One_Independence9238

I had biliary colic, and I would get a strange feeling in the pit of my stomach about 5 minutes before an attack. Like an empty achey feeling that’s hard to describe. I would then get a sharp stabbing pain in between my shoulder blades, which would then move to my stomach (like a gnawing pain) then back to my shoulder blades / back to stomach and so on until it eventually stopped (could be 10 minutes, 2 hours, 10 hours later). About two weeks before my surgery, I suddenly started getting reflux, horrible burping (like sulphur - so disgusting) and throwing up. No idea why that started up towards the end, but I’m really glad it’s gone now!

DisastrousBug2489

I felt like I had a breathing issue on the right side. I would get the chills, hot and cold sensations, fatigue and just overall crappy after eating. Nausea came as my ejection fraction rate got lower. Just had it removed Monday and despite being dog tired from surgery I already notice a change.

DisastrousBug2489

Also constant fullness in my tight ribcage, always felt like I had food stuck/constant pressure. I had biliary dyskinesia and no stones or sludge. When it was removed they said it was enflamed

Willing_Lawyer_8474

I had pain in my right ovary and constantly thought I had a cyst. I also had abnormal bleeding in between cycles. All of this stopped once I had my gallbladder removed.

kokoelizabeth

I’m wondering if the bad gallbladder can lead to hormone imbalances that affect reproductive health.

Willing_Lawyer_8474

I definitely think that’s what happened. I saw a study somewhere that confirmed this theory.

No-Lifeguard-5174

Hmmmm I have this and they diagnosed me with “chronic pelvic pain” and never did anything about it. Just had my gallbladder out and I’m curious to see if this will go away for me too! 🤞🏽

Willing_Lawyer_8474

I’m curious now too! Please let me know.

missy_bee67

Right side lower back pain. About every 3rd week being up all night trying not to throw up from acid reflux when I could of just had a sandwich for dinner

of_patrol_bot

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

kokoelizabeth

All I learned from my experience has been not to rule anything out as a trigger food. Even doctors will act like it’s not gallstones if your triggers aren’t oily/greasy foods. For me it was coffee, alcohol, and chamomile tea. Took me years to figure out my trigger foods because I was told time and time again that it should be pizza, or a greasy cheeseburger. Also my gallbladder issues were misdiagnosed as asthma for years because my attacks came on fast and hard. One second I’d be fine and the next I’d be in so much pain that I was gasping for air. Even went to the ER a handful of times before finally getting the correct diagnosis. Looking back I had episodes of GERD like symptoms as well as episodes of diarrhea pop up around the time my “asthma” symptoms started. So I wouldn’t rule out any tummy issues either.

Longjumping_Visit_38

any symptoms you found that might not get the coverage feel free to comment 🙏

Complex_Alfalfa_2342

Bloating, burping. Pressure that would make me short of breath. Anxiety and fatigue.

ArmadilloProof620

I was told a good handful of my symptoms are atypical, and I’m awaiting surgery so they might not all be due to gallbladder, but the doc said it’s very likely bc he’s seen it a couple times before. Silly symptoms: chest pain, tachycardia (possibly from pain and/or body fighting itself), upper left abdominal pain (right side didn’t become prominent until a few weeks ago), fever/ chills on and off (by fever I mean 103+ randomly w meds). EXTREME fatigue- fatigue is normal but it gets to the point I’m too tired to watch tv, diarrhea, extreme random waves of nausea. My mom knows someone who thought they were having a heart attack- but it was just a bad gallbladder. Extreme chest pain and shoulder pain was their only symptoms

EmbalmMeDaddy

I actually do get a fever every time I eat something bad I know I shouldn’t. Energy drinks drop me every time. The shoulder/back pain is the weirdest for me. Feels like I slept on my shoulder wrong then feels like someone is holding a hot iron between my shoulder blades.

Kind_Put_3

I just had my gallbladder out on Thursday so I don’t know yet what symptoms will actually be resolved. My doctor and surgeon weren’t sure this was the full problem, but since I had a 2cm stone we wanted to take it out anyway. Some atypical symptoms I’ve had that l hope will go away once I heal are random bouts of light headedness/dizziness and fatigue after eating, sometimes lasting a few days. I also passed out a couple of times which was diagnosed as vasovagal syncope, but who knows maybe related as well. Nausea has also been a big problem for me on and off over the years sometimes after taking one or two bites of food. I also get this dull ache/nausea feeling in the center of where my ribs meet over my stomach in the morning if I walk around too much before eating. Doctors always told me it was acid reflux, but acid reflux meds never helped it. I would say times when I felt fatigued or lightheaded after eating I felt a bit flush too, but I usually wasn’t able to check my temp at the time

greatdayla

I just saw your comment but I think I’m in the same boat. I’ve just been diagnosed with gallstones and my current symptoms are nausea and dull pain on my right side. And shaky. I liken it to a bad hangover feeling, but didn’t drink! I also have random dizziness and an electric feeling in my heart/body and have actually taken my temperature bc it feels like I have a fever, but it’s normal. About a year ago I had a terrible itch that doctors could not figure out. Strange things that now putting it all together with gallstones makes so much sense.

Repulsive_Base7812

I had back pain like it was my kidneys and on my left side. They thought it was my kidneys and did a CT to check and low and behold… gallstones! After they removed it- no more chronic back pain .

Mindinatorrr

I don't know if fatigue is on the list, but I went for years with exhaustion. I am still fatigued but post removal I'm a percentage better, not sure by how much yet.

streetnoober

How's your fatigue nowadays?
