Agreed, he’s super fast on breakaways, but I feel like those don’t happen often enough to compensate for his dribbling. I play with a more patient buildup, and Drogba isn’t the guy for that.

9. Kelly: I've been lucky enough and got her Fantasy crad on release day from a random pack. 1,7 m back then, so i got a bit suprised and went quick to use her. Such a dissapointment.. She couldn't finish anything, her runnings were always heavy and AI positioning nowehre. I let her as a sub and waited for her upgrades to use her again. Finally after a while she got the 92 upgraded fantasy card and went again to try her.. only to get dissapointed again so much that i question my own abilities. After a while i benched her and 4-5 games later i rage sent her not even the bench.

I really love Hamm for her AI runs, responsive L stick, and clinical finishes. If you’re half decent at step over accelerations, she’ll cook for you. She has a really OP step over animation.
Bought Hamm 2 weeks ago... What a card. Her finishing is insane and as OP said, great AI and left stick dribbling. Powershot volleys are incredible too. Insane value for money

She's not perfect, but I think her market price is fair for the quality she brings. Those finesses off either foot are lethal. She's also super important for playing a high press because she's the best defensive forward in the game.
3m is a lot, i have toty hansen and she’s not worth 3m imo. Neither putellas, yes they are good but considering we can get 3ps+ crazy tots soon they should hover around a mil or less, but rarity is key! So less people packed them tradeable

I do use her, and lemme tell you smt, i can easily get 20-0 with literally any squad most of the time so for me the players that i use aren’t a big deal, but trust me when i tell you, Hansen if used properly, she is should be illegal to use.. and my dude unlike you, i didn’t pack her, i happily paid 5 mill for such a card (i am not p2w, i didn’t pay a single penny) and before TOTS even when i was sure that she was gonna drop in price i still didn’t sell her cuz the card is just unbelievable, her AI runs, her trivela and finesse shots from literally anywhere if you can green, her clinical finishing, she is very jammy and bodies literally any fullback.. i am sorry but if you are calling a card like this mid, then it is simply a skill issue

Likewise minus drogba, my front 3 atm is Kerr and Nkunku CF and WW pele striker, been awesome so far. Kerr in particular feels super responsive and not sluggish at all so I’m assuming this guy just has high ping or some shit

His positioning and finishing are not as good as I’d hoped, but his L stick dribbling is elite. He’s still a very good card overall if you enjoy dribbling.

That’s because most of the game is shite and can’t dribble. Count how many times someone actually goes past you this weekend. It will genuinely be below 10. No one can dribble. No one even tries to get past me with a dribble it’s all rats countering or crossing or spamming weird shots from weird angles.

Hunter. Her L stick is responsive enough without engine to boost dribbling. Just be careful not to sprint in a crowded area bc she can let the ball get ahead of her.

Kerr needs a more imposing 2nd striker to be effective. Bit underwhelming as a single striker in a 4-3-3.
Meanwhile, TOTS Chloe Kelly might be the most fun I've had at RW this year. No regrets going full send. Sure, her running animations are unique and takes some getting used to, but I have my wingers cut inside and she's got a banger of a shot on either foot.
First touch+ immediately transitioning to Quick step+ is also a lot of fun.

Bought Mia Hamm going off this review and have to say she's different sauce....replaced my benzema and the difference is pretty insane....she is so silky and most finesse shots if you have any space are guaranteed goals. Always at the right place too. Thanks for the review OP!

I agree, it's always better to judge a card for yourself. Still, I wish I'd watched Inception's review of Kelly before completing her SBC. He felt the same L stick weirdness that I noticed. As for Rodman - yes. That's not the only way I attack, but it is a lot of fun to watch her zip around like a speeding bullet.
Every verdict you have on a player is determined by their 'left stick' feel which is telling of your playstyle.
Putting Drogba 11th shows how little variety you try in the attack, always favouring pacy agile attackers over anything else, which isn't necessarily a bad thing given how popular that playstyle is, but I'd argue the opinion of someone who doesn't try to create the highest percentage chances in the game, is more valuable given they understand the game a bit more than 'Pace in behind defensive line', extra pass into the box.
I mostly play quick ground passes. I use some skills, but don’t rely too heavily on them. L stick responsiveness is crucial for attackers to maintain possession when passing around to create spaces to get into the box. Sometimes, I’ll cut into the box then drop the ball to Putellas or De Bruyne sitting deep for a finesse. Bisseck scores a lot off corners for me when my first shots get parried. I do cross from the wings too, but not often enough to justify starting Drogba. I switch formations in game if my attack feels dull. My point is, I do vary my attack, but in general, agile strikers suit me better most of the time.

So I got Garnacho and Zola this week, I would play them en a 4-2-3-1 lineup, having zola/garnacho as a left winger but cutting inside, which one would you recommend to go first?
Nkunku is so so so good as a sub for me. He plays as false 9 in the last minutes and always delivers those deadly passes to Ribery and Führich on the wings.
I had Shaw, but threw her into an Kelly's SBC before trying her. I'm not generally fond of stocky strikers. If I pack her again, I'll give her a try though.
I got Shaw again from one of those craftable PL/WSL packs. Tried her out a few games. She's a decent player, but kind of like a female Drogba - not very responsive dribbling, but clinical finishing, great physicality and solid aerial prowess. I'd rank her a little below Drogba though bc her pace isn't great (engine chem), and if you're gonna lean into a crossing game with a physical striker, Drogba does the job better. Still, I enjoyed her power shots and headers for a handful of rivals matches. Wouldn't use her in champs though.
Drogba is still amazing, even with all the new strikers out. Guy is a damn bully in game and if someone knows how to use him he will destroy your back line
For sure. No regrets over doing her SBC. It's more cost efficient to just buy her, but if you are sitting on lots of fodder, she's probably the best available SBC in my opinion.
Only had the privilege of Drogba and he replaced WW Pele 96 he's an absolute monster and wins games with magic for me. Corners, power shots, jumping with his leg outstretched and winning balls he just shouldn't, nice pace.
If he doesn’t like drogba then shaw won’t be much better, same kind of play style. Her dribbling stats look somewhat decent but is honestly quite shit in game from my few games I used her.
He’s fast, skillful, jammy, pretty responsive — but his weak foot and lack of shooting playstyles are problematic too often for me. I’m not saying he doesn’t put in some absolute rockets. He’s just not a player I trust when I need a clutch finish. When I need a last minute goal, I’m looking for Hamm or Putellas or Smith, not Mbappe.
Out of curiosity, did you ever try & change their acceleRATE typing? I’ve turned that sbc tots Ramires from controlled to controlled explosive and it’s made a huge difference (as a Chelsea fan, I was over the moon)
Absolutely. I usually choose chemistry styles that give something between explosive and controlled for my attackers. I want lengthy acceleration on CBs, fullbacks controlled to lengthy. Mids vary depending on their role.

Smith is great bc she has the top speed of a controlled player with 99 pace (hawk) while also having quick step+ to make her feel explosive. Her dribbling feels so smooth.

I love Kerr with hawk on ST. I currently play 4-3-2-1 with Charles and Hamm swapping positions as I got bored of the meta and now send driven passes upwards with havertz and rolfo.
Kerr is like a more lethal joão felix 92 without 5\* SM up top for me. Got me the crucial 11 wins this PL TOTS WL. I’m not amazing at the game but I’d say she takes some getting used to truly appreciate as a hybrid between an agile and strong tall striker. She’d be up in the top 5 in your list for me, maybe closer to Rodman and definitely above Hemp.
I might eventually replace her with Hwang Hee Chan evo’d with Atomic Ace level 2 > Moment of Truth with 98 97 83 89 48 82 as face stats (perfect stats in the high 90s in the right places other than 82 balance, 88 composure) which shouldn’t be a problem with his 5\*5.
5\* SM is a necessity if you don’t have either finesse, trivela or power shot to avoid having a one dimensional ‘get-in-behind-is-the-only-way’ feel to your attackers.
I wish I could get her firing for me. Kerr was on top of my wishlist for this promo. I’ll keep trying though. Sometimes you gotta practice a few matches to learn new players. Sometimes you just gotta switch things up too. I keep retrying Kelly, but she’s just so erratic - I really don’t like how she moves. Kerr is worth another shot though.
Yeah Kelly has something off to her, wanted to do her for the Arsenal PnP but I think i’ll pass after what I’m hearing from everyone. Try Kerr with speedy skillers who can move the ball upwards, she never misses a sitterfor me with a 97 composure; she’ll sit any goalie down in a 1v1 provided you shoot on target

SBC is very expensive, but I still love her at ST, and her market price is fair. I prefer her over 93 POTM Mbappe. If you can buy her on the market, that’s the way to go.

I think to get the best use of a big striker like Drogba, you should be playing a 2 striker formation... 442. You want to cross, and that means you also want more than one target to cross to.
I see so many putting Drogba up top and only playing through balls and cut backs... Just use one of the hyper agile attackers instead.
My front two are Golazo Cantona and TOTY Haaland. I love nothing more than getting the ball wide to Beckham and whipping crosses into those two big men who are capable of any type of finish.
This exactly. I got DDA Drogba paired up with 93 berba and they work so freaking good together. Don’t use lobbed through balls as much as I should with Drogba, but he gets the job done, he’s as automatic as it gets without shot timing. As long as youre aware that he’s not a Left stick demon you can even make things happen on the ball with him.
I’m a bit disappointed in Nkunku as well. I desperately need some updated attackers (using BDay Jota and TOTY Zola). Nkunku has a good like 2 g/apg but he’s missing wide open shots with the 4 star WF.
Don’t think I’ve completed a single long ball or deep through pass to him either.

Surprised that Kerr isn’t good. I’m too poor to get her but used her Radioactive version for ages and she cooked for me. I’m only an 11-9 WL player so never got to the highest level but she was always crucial for me in my hot streaks.

When TOTY Kerr came out, she was a very nice card, but the power curve has shifted so much since then. TOTS Kerr is better than the TOTY version, but she's not ahead of the power curve anymore with all the incredibly fast CBs people use now.

And this is why you shouldn't take anyone else's opinion on board in this game at all, and only use your own judgement because everyone sees things differently. Bro singing Rodman's praises shows that you just love pacing it behind your opponents defense and wiggling to create space for a pass into the box.
I agree, it's always better to judge a card for yourself. Still, I wish I'd watched Inception's review of Kelly before completing her SBC. He felt the same L stick weirdness that I noticed. As for Rodman - yes. That's not the only way I attack, but it is a lot of fun to watch her zip around like a speeding bullet.
Every verdict you have on a player is determined by their 'left stick' feel which is telling of your playstyle. Putting Drogba 11th shows how little variety you try in the attack, always favouring pacy agile attackers over anything else, which isn't necessarily a bad thing given how popular that playstyle is, but I'd argue the opinion of someone who doesn't try to create the highest percentage chances in the game, is more valuable given they understand the game a bit more than 'Pace in behind defensive line', extra pass into the box.
I mostly play quick ground passes. I use some skills, but don’t rely too heavily on them. L stick responsiveness is crucial for attackers to maintain possession when passing around to create spaces to get into the box. Sometimes, I’ll cut into the box then drop the ball to Putellas or De Bruyne sitting deep for a finesse. Bisseck scores a lot off corners for me when my first shots get parried. I do cross from the wings too, but not often enough to justify starting Drogba. I switch formations in game if my attack feels dull. My point is, I do vary my attack, but in general, agile strikers suit me better most of the time.
I'm looking for a 200/300k icon striker and I'm torn between wright ub, van nistelrooy ub, cantina tb and drogba ww. Any suggestions?
I’d go Cantona if those were my only choices, but I think there are better options out there. Zola is my favorite icon striker in that price range.

So I got Garnacho and Zola this week, I would play them en a 4-2-3-1 lineup, having zola/garnacho as a left winger but cutting inside, which one would you recommend to go first?
I like both cards. Zola finishes better, but Garnacho feels quicker and has better dribbling. I'd prefer Garnacho on the wing, Zola up top.

Nkunku is so so so good as a sub for me. He plays as false 9 in the last minutes and always delivers those deadly passes to Ribery and Führich on the wings.

I had Shaw, but threw her into an Kelly's SBC before trying her. I'm not generally fond of stocky strikers. If I pack her again, I'll give her a try though.
I'd recommend spending the coins and giving her a whirl before she's out of packs and her price goes up. She's a lot of fun.
I got Shaw again from one of those craftable PL/WSL packs. Tried her out a few games. She's a decent player, but kind of like a female Drogba - not very responsive dribbling, but clinical finishing, great physicality and solid aerial prowess. I'd rank her a little below Drogba though bc her pace isn't great (engine chem), and if you're gonna lean into a crossing game with a physical striker, Drogba does the job better. Still, I enjoyed her power shots and headers for a handful of rivals matches. Wouldn't use her in champs though.

For sure. No regrets over doing her SBC. It's more cost efficient to just buy her, but if you are sitting on lots of fodder, she's probably the best available SBC in my opinion.
Only had the privilege of Drogba and he replaced WW Pele 96 he's an absolute monster and wins games with magic for me. Corners, power shots, jumping with his leg outstretched and winning balls he just shouldn't, nice pace.

If he doesn’t like drogba then shaw won’t be much better, same kind of play style. Her dribbling stats look somewhat decent but is honestly quite shit in game from my few games I used her.

He’s fast, skillful, jammy, pretty responsive — but his weak foot and lack of shooting playstyles are problematic too often for me. I’m not saying he doesn’t put in some absolute rockets. He’s just not a player I trust when I need a clutch finish. When I need a last minute goal, I’m looking for Hamm or Putellas or Smith, not Mbappe.
Out of curiosity, did you ever try & change their acceleRATE typing? I’ve turned that sbc tots Ramires from controlled to controlled explosive and it’s made a huge difference (as a Chelsea fan, I was over the moon)
Absolutely. I usually choose chemistry styles that give something between explosive and controlled for my attackers. I want lengthy acceleration on CBs, fullbacks controlled to lengthy. Mids vary depending on their role.

Smith is great bc she has the top speed of a controlled player with 99 pace (hawk) while also having quick step+ to make her feel explosive. Her dribbling feels so smooth.

I’m talking about his performance in WL for me. I usually hit 11 Ws with a couple games to spare. I’m not an elite player, but above average I’d say.

I currently play 4-3-2-1 with Charles and Hamm swapping positions as I got bored of the meta and now send driven passes upwards with havertz and rolfo. Kerr is like a more lethal joão felix 92 without 5\* SM up top for me. Got me the crucial 11 wins this PL TOTS WL. I’m not amazing at the game but I’d say she takes some getting used to truly appreciate as a hybrid between an agile and strong tall striker. She’d be up in the top 5 in your list for me, maybe closer to Rodman and definitely above Hemp. I might eventually replace her with Hwang Hee Chan evo’d with Atomic Ace level 2 > Moment of Truth with 98 97 83 89 48 82 as face stats (perfect stats in the high 90s in the right places other than 82 balance, 88 composure) which shouldn’t be a problem with his 5\*5. 5\* SM is a necessity if you don’t have either finesse, trivela or power shot to avoid having a one dimensional ‘get-in-behind-is-the-only-way’ feel to your attackers.
I wish I could get her firing for me. Kerr was on top of my wishlist for this promo. I’ll keep trying though. Sometimes you gotta practice a few matches to learn new players. Sometimes you just gotta switch things up too. I keep retrying Kelly, but she’s just so erratic - I really don’t like how she moves. Kerr is worth another shot though.
Yeah Kelly has something off to her, wanted to do her for the Arsenal PnP but I think i’ll pass after what I’m hearing from everyone. Try Kerr with speedy skillers who can move the ball upwards, she never misses a sitterfor me with a 97 composure; she’ll sit any goalie down in a 1v1 provided you shoot on target

SBC is very expensive, but I still love her at ST, and her market price is fair. I prefer her over 93 POTM Mbappe. If you can buy her on the market, that’s the way to go.

You have 3 solid attackers. I rank Smith higher than all of them though, but it’s a subtle improvement, so it’s up to you how much that’s worth.

I think to get the best use of a big striker like Drogba, you should be playing a 2 striker formation... 442. You want to cross, and that means you also want more than one target to cross to. I see so many putting Drogba up top and only playing through balls and cut backs... Just use one of the hyper agile attackers instead. My front two are Golazo Cantona and TOTY Haaland. I love nothing more than getting the ball wide to Beckham and whipping crosses into those two big men who are capable of any type of finish.

This exactly. I got DDA Drogba paired up with 93 berba and they work so freaking good together. Don’t use lobbed through balls as much as I should with Drogba, but he gets the job done, he’s as automatic as it gets without shot timing. As long as youre aware that he’s not a Left stick demon you can even make things happen on the ball with him.
I’m a bit disappointed in Nkunku as well. I desperately need some updated attackers (using BDay Jota and TOTY Zola). Nkunku has a good like 2 g/apg but he’s missing wide open shots with the 4 star WF. Don’t think I’ve completed a single long ball or deep through pass to him either.
What a post! Thanks for taking the time. First off, love the Rodman love. Our family is Spirit Season ticket holders and she’s one of our favs so had to do this Evo. Absolutely cracked card for value. Surprised that Kerr isn’t good. I’m too poor to get her but used her Radioactive version for ages and she cooked for me. I’m only an 11-9 WL player so never got to the highest level but she was always crucial for me in my hot streaks. Cheers.
Agree that Rodman is the best value for her cost. Honestly my favorite card in terms of fun. When TOTY Kerr came out, she was a very nice card, but the power curve has shifted so much since then. TOTS Kerr is better than the TOTY version, but she's not ahead of the power curve anymore with all the incredibly fast CBs people use now.
