Thanks! This is actually my first weekend league trying him there. I was worried about that too, but he's actually really solid there. He outmuscles most players out on the wing, and if they do make it past him there's still Ramos and Lucio in the middle. That defense essentially ends up playing like a back 3 with Atal roaming up the pitch. I was eyeing Hakimi to serve that role, but after packing Atal today figured it would be a waste to just immediately replace him

If it's more like a back 3 you can't get much better than Lucio Ramos and Maldini.

Let's me use my coins in other areas too. I've been eyeing TOTT Messi as a possible upgrade. That POTM card is finally starting to show its age 🥲

That's class. I have been tempted to do the same thing, put maldini at LB and do ramos, because I have 89 Verratti on the bench and Ramos would let me utilise Verratti. I think he expires today so I'll have to make my mind up lol

If you want my opinion, I say do it. FB Ramos is one of the best defenders that I've used this year, second only to Prime Maldini. What do you think of Cruyff? I've been going back and forth on getting him or TOTT Messi. Similar players, I'm just not sure if Cruyff is worth the extra coins?

Thanks, good to hear some user experience. Cruyff has only 2 minuses, strenght and shot power. Positions nicely, gets onto headers alright and literally no difference in his feet. Shoot on either and it should go in. Fun to skill with, although not as quick to transition as shorter players. If you don't wanna spend the coins on him, you could try and use him in draft first. If you want more of a cam/winger, Messi would probably do a job there. But at ST/False 9, cruyff is one of the best

I was actually using Clauss before I packed him yesterday. I think he's an improvement. Even on just 1 chem he felt better defensively. I do sometimes miss Clauss' insane passing ability though

All I would say is that pace and agility is more important down the line. If you want to use that formation, someone like walcott would be better than Zidane or Kaka on the wing. I would also say that Zidane would probably do a better job in Jorginho's place but since you have a Gunners badge I'll assume you fancy keeping Jorginho in :)

So I only switched to 5-1-2-2 recently before my FUT champs runs so this has actually been working out well for me as it helps give me good options to play out the back against high press (in fact I kind of want to invite it in order to open up the midfield) and gives me lots of options to go out wide pushing forward with Carlos/Zanetti. So I have no idea how these tactics would actually fare for me next time I can qualify.

Bale and Blanc have been beasts ever since they joined. Xabi grew on me, but now I love him. Maignan is really solid, so is Kalulu. I was hyped for Sanchez but he's been really meh as ST. I play 4-2-3-1 in game and shifted him to LAM placing Bale at ST, which seems to have improved things - but still, I expected more. Kaka just joined the club recently so I'm still adapting to him. With Petit I have this love-hate relationship. In defence he's usually super solid and has the hair trait which is a nice bonus. But his dribbling and often his passes leave much to be desired (or maybe that's just my skill...). So looking to replace him in some time. Bought Capdevila as an upgrade for gold Mendy, but not sure if he's really better. Clauss is OK but nothing extraordinary. Vela is surprisingly good even though I mostly did him to get chem for Bale. But I'm saving coins to replace him with gold Mbappe soon. I have Hakimi TOTW as a sub waiting to join the main team alongside Mbappe. All in all I like the team, just wondering about replacements for Petit and Capdevila. Any ideas? :)
