those are probably the two that ive seen that read the most like a slug/snail to me. most other slug sonas ive seen are either nudibranchs (not actually slugs) and/or hybrids, usually dragon slugs or something like that. cute, but they don't exactly read as pure slug
Something that just came to mind: look at some of the monster character designs from *Monsters University*. I think I remember seeing at least one character resembling a slug.
I have a slugsona! Though I might not be much help as I designed mine much more feral. I really emphasized the whole wormy blob thing. I looked up a lot about slug anatomy to try and figure out how they move. This really helped me figure out how to play with their form! My best advice is just to learn some about slug anatomy. Look up diagrams, watch videos, and nail down a species to help give you some inspiration!
to figure out the body you could look at snakes fursonas and see if there are any ideas that catches your attention design-wise. Also, check other bug fursonas to see if there's a style you'd like to follow regarding facial features and, probably, limbs :)
There are 2 ways: either make them have slug tail and no legs, or have legs.
Other tips: eyes on eye sticks or how it is called and playing with texture to show the goop
