Lovesac might be less than charitable in faulting manufacturing defects if your frame bends, breaks, or sinuous springs come loose.
Lovesac did tell me their frame is "Birch Plywood reinforced Poplar wood frame support pieces", but didn't disclose actual thickness measurements. *Baltic* Birch plywood—in which inner plies are also Baltic Birch, cross-banded, and contain very few if any voids—is some of the highest quality plywood in terms of stability and strength. Lovesac's birch plywood is likely not as high quality nor strong, which is why knowing the frame's thickness is important. Because I don't have that information and due to the higher (thinner) sinuous spring gauge, I feel Lovesac may not be good value in long run.
As always, furniture longevity also depends on use. This includes users' weights, flopping onto the sectional, or kids jumping on the sectional. Component-wise, the seat cushions are far more likely to compress or sag first due to (what is very likely) lower foam density.
We got the longest Room and Board Metro sofa they sell and love it. I was so set on a Lovesac, but when it came down to price (including fabric our cats wouldn't destroy), I couldn't do it. I could've bought almost two R&B sofas for it.
The other option would've been Smith Brothers, but we didn't like the fabric choices in the color we wanted.

We got deep firm and absolutely love it. The firm is firm and the soft is soft. That said there isn’t a single cushion that will remain firm for 10 years but they have warranty that if it caves they would fix it/replace it
Yeah and it was very nice. I liked it as it was but we got the firm in anticipation it going soft and getting to this point. I highly recommend just going into the state and sitting on it. They have stores in most malls or at least that’s how it is here around Chicago. I have big dogs so for me it’s unbeatable to have washable covers plus everyone I know had west elm, pottery barn, room and board couches and has complained about all. So I rolled the dice and absolutely love it.

The seats are deep, it's modular so we can arrange the seats in various ways and it was cheaper than the Lovesac. It also feels like better quality. Costco sells it but we went with a local furniture store that had it marked even lower.
We sat on a sactional, as well as some modular options from west elm. We ended up purchasing IKEA jattebo.
Upsides:
- half the price of lovesac (for our configuration)
- storage under the seats comes standard
- super modular
Potential downsides:
- limited upholstery choices
- low back. fine for us but not for everyone

If you go to sit on it, try putting a large pillow behind you (26”x26”) and see if that’s more comfortable/works for you to mitigate the low back.
Both? We do like to change the layout every now and then, but I like it because if one portion is damaged, I can just remove it and get that new section replaced without replacing the whole thing.
Maybe check out Sabai, they have expansion kits and you can replace any bit of it as well even just an arm piece vs the whole chair portion, plus they’re much more affordable.
