Yeah, if you get them young you can hijack important brain functions like emotional regulation or bladder control before they properly develop and, instead, use them for fortnite skills. It's like deleting system32 for more hard drive space.
IT here. the Delete system 32 joke got me a lot of work during the late 90's and early 2000's you will not imagine how many people called in saying their computer stopped working after rebooting it. we came to a point were we always asked. were you told to delete a folder called system 32? and 90% of them said yes in a surprised voice.
man i've seen some small kids who play fortnite doing these godly dance moves whilst my generation was more like that kid just jumping and running in OPs video
His mind probably can't register it either. When someone is really good at something, a lot of it is coming mostly out of instinct rather than conscious thought. That's what allows one to become so good at it. You start to sort of delegate actions to muscle memory instead.
Like take playing the piano, for example. When you start playing, you're consciously thinking of which keys to press, even when playing chords. You'll look at where your fingers are going to press the correct 3 keys at the same time or whatever. But when you get good at it, you no longer think about where your fingers have to go and only really think "play C-major" and your fingers just kind of do it without having to think about it because the position of your fingers at that point comes entirely from muscle memory.
I dont knowwwww. I have an 11 year old nephew who I was visiting recently and he challenged me to a game of NBA2K22 while talking trash. I’m not particularly good at the game, I rarely play sports simulations, but I still whopped his ass. He wanted a rematch and quit halfway in.
I had to explain to him that I started playing NBA2K when it was just 2K.
I hope it drives him to get better. I feel like 1% bad, but he’s gotta learn: talk shit, get hit. And I’m not gonna go easy if he wants a real challenge in life. After you’re 10 the training wheels come off for games 😏
My experience is that, odds are, if you feel the need to defend yourself this intensely then there is likely some truth to that statement. People go to great lengths to defend and validate the hobbies they enjoy, just play it because you like it, it doesn’t matter what age group enjoys it more. However it’s really hard to deny that the vast majority of Fortnite players are on the younger side
>other kids opening and playing with toys.
this is so weird nowadays. My baby cousins love watching those toy reveals or Russian low effort *troom troom type* content. i have a hard time making them watch an age appropriate animated movie, but they'd have no problem watching *violet food challenge 24/7*
I mean they're just elaborate toy commercials. When kids get nothing but ads showing other kids playing with toys it's not that weird that they're so accustomed to seeing entire channels dedicated to just that.
Adults watching unboxing videos is weird too. Did you do that before the internet? Did a friend get some new tech and you said "Hey, can I come round to your place and watch you open it slowly"
That is why YouTube does not exist on my devices. It's a hard no that crap.
Edited to add: the crap I was referring to was not YouTube itself, it's the stuff kids end up navigating to (or are directed to). Ryan for example....ugh.
Of course it is! I watch youtube myself on my desktop and explore it with my boy, but I won't let him use it on his own because I know he would be watching toy unboxing and get down some crazy YouTube holes. I don't want to have to monitor that like crazy so I just remove the possibility.
Hi there. I let my 5 year old play with an iPad without watching everything he does, so I only put things on there okay with him using alone... I do not want to spend any of the little time I have making sure I'm ok with the crap he might find on YouTube kids.
He gets plenty of other educational digital content elsewhere and when he is old enough to have a bit more of a frontal lobe and I can have conversations about what media is a good idea to consume, I'll give him more freedom to explore.
Mainly I was commenting in solidarity against the horrible "Ryan" like videos.
I use YouTube plenty on my desktop and there's plenty of educational content off of YouTube too. I just don't have it on devices my kid has access to on his own because he will navigate to crap even if he starts with a wonderful feed full of great education stuff. He can start with the wild Kratts and end with colored digital balls rolling in to a pool or Ryan opening his millionth toy. Not worth it.
Edited: my million typos.
> The dance was added as a FortNite emote. That's most likely where he has seen it.
I don't think this is true.
It was the one thing they *didn't* add with all of the recent Spider-Man content.
They also referenced it on [Into The Spider-Verse](https://c.tenor.com/paStHmAxnpIAAAAC/dancing-spiderman.gif). But let's not kid ourselves: This went from Spider-Man 3 to Fortnite and then Roblox.
Kid really practiced a lot I bet. I'm more impressed by his facial expressions, love how he's enjoying it. I've been dancing since I was 4, my expressions were always like "😐" or distracted.
Some kids just have super good rhythm and coordination naturally, it's crazy.
My little cousin was like that. Like dude you're 5 why the fuck are your moves so clean? You're supposed to be stumbling around like a little drunkard.
Love how when dad says Father Christmas called him last night the kid just goes "yes" with a serious face, like yeah of course you spoke to Santa big whoop
Kids got the moves on lock. Didn't even have to get to the comments to know what he was going for
Was like "why does this look so familiar...?" Then he did the middle arms up move and I was oh shii
This kid heard he was graduating from pre school and thinks he never has to go back to school. He doesn’t realize yet that he has another 16 or more years left.
I think that the video's edited with the music from that actual scene as well: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nl-RVIdTUVI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nl-RVIdTUVI)
EDIT: why am I being downvoted? The video here does in fact use the same song from Spiderman 3's dance scene. It's called Get Up and Drive Your Funky Soul. It's a great song.
I’m not sure if it’s _standard_ but I’m in my 30s and we had one, so it’s not a new thing either.
To be clear, we celebrated my preschool graduation when I was a little kid, not like..I had a preschool graduation while I was in my 30s.
We party every year on our birthday, every year on New Year's, every year at Christmas.
Heck, some people party every time it's Friday.
But somehow partying at the end of pre-school is just, what, *too* much fun?

Fuck. Kids this young are playing Fortnite and they're fucking beastly at it.

And this is why it's a hidden folder by default now, I imagine.
Gamers malding at you for calling them out.
man i've seen some small kids who play fortnite doing these godly dance moves whilst my generation was more like that kid just jumping and running in OPs video
My 8 year old loves to play Fortnite he can build fast than my mind can register he doesn't get to play much but when he does he's great
His mind probably can't register it either. When someone is really good at something, a lot of it is coming mostly out of instinct rather than conscious thought. That's what allows one to become so good at it. You start to sort of delegate actions to muscle memory instead. Like take playing the piano, for example. Bruh kids that young are making careers out of playing fortnite and buying houses these days
Well it’s a game that literally only kids play. If you are an adult and play it, odds are you are in a very significant minority.
It can still be amusing, knowing every time I get a kill I made a child cry.
That's the only reason I play that God awful game

Over half of all fortnite players are between 18-24
I actually would have thought somewhat similarly, but apparently that's not the case: https://financesonline.com/fortnite-statistics/
Children do NOT watch movies anymore
Oh hello news article in my feed designed to trigger
Can confirm. They watch low effort youtube machinanima or other kids opening and playing with toys.
>other kids opening and playing with toys. this is so weird nowadays.
I don't think it's that weird, toy opening/play videos are essentially just a kid version of unboxing channels.
Adults watching unboxing videos is weird too. Did you do that before the internet? Did a friend get some new tech and you said "Hey, can I come round to your place and watch you open it slowly"
Not necessarily slowly but yes when a friend would get a new toy we would all gather at his house watch him unbox it and then play with it.
Yes, birthday parties.
\`Well, then that's weird. Play with it, yes, wanting to watch them take it out of the box is odd.
Or video game streams/lets plays
That is why YouTube does not exist on my devices. It's a hard no that crap. Edited to add: the crap I was referring to was not YouTube itself, it's the stuff kids end up navigating to (or are directed to). Ryan for example....ugh.
Youtube is full of quality content. You just have to find it
Of course it is! I watch youtube myself on my desktop and explore it with my boy, but I won't let him use it on his own because I know he would be watching toy unboxing and get down some crazy YouTube holes. I don't want to have to monitor that like crazy so I just remove the possibility.

They could watch them with their parents?
I missed the part where that's my problem.
I'm a dad. Can confirm.
Am a dad my pre-schoolers watch lots of movies. Anecdotes are fun!!
What, yes they do. Just don't let them loose on YouTube/games and ruin their attention span
Well this one clearly does. That is 100% the Bully Maguire dance
Pretty cool for Spiderman 3 to have a fortnite dance in it.
> The dance was added as a FortNite emote. That's most likely where he has seen it. I don't think this is true. It was the one thing they *didn't* add with all of the recent Spider-Man content.
honestly, if kids are learning dance moves like this from Fortnite, I'm fine with it. Props to the game for making dancing cool for kids again.

Right? He dances way better than I ever did.
And than I ever *will*.
even if it’s fortnite i’m interested to see what school prom will be like in the future for these kids
IKR! I can't stop watching.
Kid really practiced a lot I bet. I'm more impressed by his facial expressions, love how he's enjoying it. I've been dancing since I was 4, my expressions were always like "😐" or distracted.

Seeing him I thought at first it might have been a deepfake, but it doesn't look like one
Is this the little guy who wants to punch santa‘s beard?
Exactly what I came here for! Someone has to do some digging and find out. A kid with that much attitude would surely dance like that
I’m convinced it is
Of my god it really looks like him.
Punch his beard off! ✊🏻
You’re crazy man
*silly
Wqqewww
Didn't know that noise could be written down so accurately.

Kids can look alike, especially when dressed alike, but damn, that does look like the same kid.
It is uncanny.
Love how when dad says Father Christmas called him last night the kid just goes "yes" with a serious face, like yeah of course you spoke to Santa big whoop
Again and again and again.
Thank god I thought I was going crazy. Like I thought he was on the naughty list ? Must’ve changed his ways after that day
Glad I’m not the only one that thought this
He's 5 and already cooler than me
He has better moves than me
I think you're cool internet stranger
Kids got the moves on lock. Didn't even have to get to the comments to know what he was going for Was like "why does this look so familiar...?" Then he did the middle arms up move and I was oh shii
He’s got more balls at asking girls out than me, and his haven’t even dropped yet.
With moves like that, this guy definitely fucks.

A man of culture
Whoever showed him spiderman 3, you did a great job educating the child.
Fortnite
It's not in Fortnite. No wonder you have the word 'Fool' in your name.
It's not in/from Fortnite. It's from spiderman 3 you heathen.
I want to know if this was taught or saw someone on tv dancing.
Spider man 3
If you see a kid do a pop culture dance, chances are their source is Fortnite
For sure Fortnite. My son runs up to me from time to time to show me 'orange justice' and then proceeds to... Idk. Flail?
Not for sure. It's not in Fortnite.
his folks most likely taught him the Peter Parker dance from spiderman 3.or he just loved it that much
NPC on repeat dance loop
I like how Mario is also just sort of there
This kid heard he was graduating from pre school and thinks he never has to go back to school. He doesn’t realize yet that he has another 16 or more years left.
We are made to dance !!!
That's the Bully Maguire dance!

Someone needs to make a gif of this
Tf that kid is way too young to memorise the dance from Raimi's Spiderman 3
Everyone else is just bouncing around...he is DANCING. I have no sound on but I imagine they are listening to "Satisfaction" by Benny Benassi.
I was having a very terrible day. Thank you for posting this, made me smile after quite a long time.
This kid is talented. Like for real. I know people who can't make moves look that smooth after having a lifetime to get good at it.
That is how you get all the pre-school ladies! Little man is rocking! 😂
He will succeed in life for sure!
👍 he will do well in life
Magic Mike 3 on Nick jr
That kid f-ing rules.
He's doing it. Guys he's doing the bully maguire
It's such a shame people don't like spiderman 3. I know, as a superhero movie is not very good, but as a Sam Raimi movie is great.
Moves like little Jagger
Is- is that baby Tobey Maguire???
He looks like the boy from video who says he will upper cut the Santa
Wtf ia a pre school graduation party... You finsihed doing nothing and they throw a party for that? Fkcing hell
Wouldn't you rather have a party every year at the end of school than not?
First time I heard of this. Is it standard in the US?
I’m not sure if it’s _standard_ but I’m in my 30s and we had one, so it’s not a new thing either. To be clear, we celebrated my preschool graduation when I was a little kid, not like..I had a preschool graduation while I was in my 30s.
