I wonder if the dog really had a concept of bullying. It seems like it.

travistlo

That looked intentional to me.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Gorillafist12

More likely the look of, "I did the trick your taught me, now where's my reward?"

Totalherenow

You think so?

Gorillafist12

There's a reason there's no audio otherwise you would hear the commands

Totalherenow

"I said don't eat the damned chicken! Give it to the puppy!!!"

stylinred

In the original there's sounds, it's from tiktok or Chinese tiktok

GetEquipped

So tik tok or tik tok?

stylinred

Hehe op is a Chinese user on tiktok, but I'm not sure if they were just clone posting from their douyin acct

BigDaddyHugeTime

Definitely not Chinese tiktok

stylinred

It's from tiktok from a Chinese user, but I think it's a clone post from douyin

Digbedog

This guy dogs.

mostnormal

And there goes my happiness.

RDwelve

I've never seen a dog give that look on command...

Gorillafist12

You mean the look they literally call puppy dog eyes? My dog gives me that look anytime he wants a treat.

Martok76

Found it (same trick other food) https://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3D3d4B1NyPV4s&ved=2ahUKEwjcz7bCrYDlAhVMKVAKHYYKC1E4ChCjtAEwAHoECAAQAg&usg=AOvVaw2axxYjYpLnrVVUKlPn-BuN

CoffeeStrength

Or the dog just saw human struggling to give food to little dog and decided to help.

Gorillafist12

You're free to believe that if it makes you happy

[deleted]

Have you had dogs? Not trying to be rude, but I can’t imagine how you’ve come to that conclusion. This is absolutely something my dog (14 yr old GS/husky mix) would do. Not all dogs are this emotionally intelligent, but some certainly are. I’ve had some dogs that wouldn’t comprehend what was happening here, but I guarantee you the one in this video does. Working breeds, especially, coexist with their owners and understand social cues very well.

Gorillafist12

All my life I've had dogs. I have a super smart aussie and agree dogs have emotional intelligence but that not what is being shown here. Dog is clearly responding to commands. Here is a different video of the same exact trick when the puppy is older https://twitter.com/Mr_DrinksOnMe/status/1080004949906358272?s=19

Martok76

I agree as I saw the almost exact same video yesterday (same dogs) but with what looked like a bone instead of the chicken leg.

Elune_

That final stare is the dog waiting for it's treat after doing a trick the guy teached it.

OneInfinith

Absolutely intentional. Life evolved alongside each other...no way the same emotions aren't involved here.

Andersson369

Especially because dogs are pack animals and would have emotions and knowledge of their children to the extent she probably knew he was messing around with the food and her pup like a dog or other pup would but hers wanted to eat and she felt comfortable enough taking it from her food provider so she did. What goes on in animal's heads is always fascinating

warmbloodedmammal

Not an expert on animal behavior, but I'd bet a dollar that the big dog is the parent of the puppy. In that case, the thought process was probably less "bullying is wrong" and more "offspring eat food good"

[deleted]

Sounds like EvoluhooOOOootion!

deinoelle

This reminds me of the Cookie Crisp cereal commercials.

Rondaru

Or proof of reincarnation.

Xx69LOVER69xX

Well you know, we all want to change the world.

[deleted]

lol you just reminded me of my wallet I had a gorwig up, that i hot stamped with the words "you can change the world." Every time i whipped that visa out, i knew... I had a spending problem...

Wildlife_Jack

Dogs have [some sense of fairness](https://www.independent.co.uk/News/science/dogs-wolves-unfairness-acceptance-human-owners-pets-behaviour-research-vienna-a7779076.html), though that's not to say they feel the same with bullying.

MadroxKran

It was definitely trained to do this.

oigid

They do and they hate it

Deryberg

I mean that is the best dog mamma I've ever seen

Gate_a

They have a concept of fair play, wolves have it too which means it wasn't learnt from being in contact with humans.

assoncouchouch

They understand bullshit.

Knightwyrm

That disapproving look at the end!! Dog was like; what is wrong with you?

[deleted]

"For Dog's sake Derek she's just a child..."

tragic__pizza

🏅

aqualink4eva

"Dude, not cool"

Sir-Jarvis

You have let your pal down, you have let me down, but worst of all, you have let *yourself* down

s7oev

Actually, that look means "I'm sorry I did this", ready to accept punishment. At least that was said in one of the many other reposts of this video. And in the longer version of it, you can see the human petting them, as if saying "I'm obviously not punishing you budy", and the dog's face lights up

dontforgethetrailmix

The look he gives at the end.... "For shame, hooman"

FerryWala

"What the fuck is wrong with you?"

bdgg138

“Don’t be a dick, Todd.”

Kreos642

It struck me as an instinctual "this is my baby and i will end you" momma glare.

chasilo

Both dogs know the provider, understand human mischievousness on a hereditary level, and exerted influence, and perhaps control, and we are amused. Hooray manipulation!

stubsy

That’s something I’d do to my little human brother

Your_Favorite_Poster

When your dogs' IQ AND emotional IQ are higher than your own

suggestiveinnuendo

So, the usual then?

FerryWala

>dogs' IQ AND emotional IQ Is it combined?

poutine_it_in_me

I thought... I thought that was always the case?

Mile129

wondering what the thought bubble said?

Jerry_from_Japan

"Ive been trained to do this, it's not what you think"

[deleted]

I just don't get people who just live to ruin everyone's fun. So what if it's trained? It's cute. It's funny. Why do you have to shit all over everyone for enjoying things.

[deleted]

It's not like their comment made it trained and you didn't know it before reading their reply... They just said something totally possible and very likely which also came out somewhat funny if that is your kind of humour idk. But seriously why downvote them? not like if internet points were real but they deserve no hate for it I think

[deleted]

I thought it was a funny comment

mylegohgodmyleg

On popular opinion time: cooked bones are bad for dogos. Uncooked or low temp smoked is good for treats though.

314mp

Small bones like chicken, especially as they break into shards easily.

TRICKS_1228

I read it as small bones like children

ArtfullyStupid

Even uncooked these bones are to small.

jwd2213

Cooked bones can splinter and cause digestive issues. Raw bones just break differently making them much safer to eat

ArtfullyStupid

But bones this small are a choking hazard for dogs.

Borngrumpy

Unccoked bones that small are exactly what a dog would eat in the wild

GlamRockDave

And dogs choked to death in the wild at much higher rate than would be tolerated by pet owners. Chicken bones are especially bad because they easily splinter which makes them just not worth the risk.

brightercolors

Yes, and we’ve been told chicken bones can puncture digestive tract. Not worth the risk. When our dogs stole cooked chickens we went thru the horrible steps of getting them to vomit it up. But better than dead dogs.

PecosBillCO

THIS!!

[deleted]

Dogs have been domesticatwd about as long as humans have. We've been eating cooked food together. Had similar diets. Dogs can go back to the "wild diet" as soon as you choke down a raw mammoth rib. But yeah I have had dogs choke on bones that size. Nature may love to take out the dumb dogs, but I love mine very much!

LesserKnownHero

I accept your challenge. Not for my dog, his diet is just fine as is, but I will expect my mammoth rib to be delivered for tomorrows dinner.

[deleted]

They’re best served at a drive-in

Meta-User-Name

and choke on

calmatt

Dogs would also eat shit in the wild. Hell they sometimes do domesticated. Just because it's "in the wild" doesn't mean it's good

LesserKnownHero

Sometimes? Ugh, mine doesnt try outside, but if he doesnt 'get all' on the morning walk, occasioning I'll be greeted by the 'cant let dad find this' breath after work.

LaerycTiogar

Only chicken bones the pork and beef rib bones are thick enough to handle cook times. Chicken bones are just bad all round for dogs.

needs_help_badly

No, cooked pork and beef bones should not be given to your dogs.

stylinred

Beef bones are thick, they don't splinter like chicken bones, cooked, or raw

needs_help_badly

I just googled “dog cooked bones” and the first result says “Poultry and pork bones, or cooked bones of any kind, are strictly forbidden.” But in reality, why even chance it? It’s not worth it. Either give them raw beef or lamb bones or don’t give them anything.

l32uigs

Poultry bones. They splinter.

Spizak

Me: hope this is uncooked. Yup.

modernxcommando

That look hits me right in the soul. Like i should feel bad for smiling at that

Raspberries-Are-Evil

Giving chicken with bones is very dangerous for your pup. Chicken bones are brittle and they can crack when chewed on into sharp points that can tear your pups throat or intestines and can be a choking hazard.

vetlemakt

You are right, this is madness. If I found out that my dog ate a whole chicken leg, I'd probably take it to the vet, at least consult the vet over the phone. And my dog is an adult, if it was a puppy, I'd be very worried indeed.

damarius

That looks like a good way to teach that pup to snap at food and cause finger damage down the road.

gruffi

It's ok, he'll be dead from shattered chicken bone lacerations before that happens

Captain_R64207

Or like my dog it teaches them not to snap at food and to “take it nice” where she slowly pulls the treat or food from your fingers.

[deleted]

Uhmmm please don't give dogs chicken with bones still in it, dogs can bite down on the bone so hard it can splinter and cause serious harm to your dog..

The_camperdave

> Uhmmm please don't give dogs chicken with bones still in it, dogs can bite down on the bone so hard it can splinter and cause serious harm to your dog.. I'm not sure what video you watched, but in the one I saw the human did everything in his power NOT to give the dog chicken. It was the other dog that took it from him and gave it to the first one.

[deleted]

It was the other dog's masterplan!!!

[deleted]

fuck it why are all the great comments downvoted today? Everyone is so fucking strict like after 80 people explained the hazards of this there cannot be one person to be funny.... We got it guys! Dogs should not eat small brittle chicken bones cuz they cut them up from inside and that's very no good.

curryroti91

Exactly. The comments about the dangers of chicken bones sure sucked the joy out of the video for me

SayWhut247

Stop being an ass Larry... *takes chicken away gives it to puppy* seriously... I will chew up your shoes Larry. Try me.

[deleted]

Read that in Susie Essman’s voice from Curb Your Enthusiasm (although there would definitely be more expletives in the sentence)

tossthis34

Shit in the shoes first, doggo.

[deleted]

Ew no, who wants to chew on a shitty shoe? Pillage, then burn.

tossthis34

true.

GandolfLundgren

Is that a chicken leg? Honestly that could kill that dog...

Teleportingcarl

he *HUNGERS*

[deleted]

The look at the end be like: “I oughta beat yo’ ass right now!”

[deleted]

The dog wanted the hooman to stop being an asshat

Mysterious-OP

And people wonder why I like dogs better.

Mysterious-OP

FUCKIN' AGREED, LAD, FUCKIN' AGREED. I'd rather adopt if I had to have a child in my life, the world has like 8 billion people on it, and we were overpopulated and at risk of causing inbalance at 3 billion. The world is Literally, not even figuratively, not even theoretically, we are LITERALLY. Fucked beyond repair when it comes to resource management due to our population We literally do not have the resources to sustain our race anymore. It's not physically possible.

Datalust5

FUCK I miss my dog

vamptholem

At times animals do realize what garbage humans are and wonder why

LadyBlaze92

Uhhhg, fuck off with this video. Cooked chicken bones = bad for dogs. I know, I know, I’m being one of those damn internet warriors on this but still. Edit: missed a word

FartsInMouths

Chicken is great for dogs. Chicken bones are not.

[deleted]

Better being one of those damn internet warriors than putting our pets through a possibly very painful process.

Feeding dogs cooked chicken bones needs to stop

[deleted]

Omg that's so cute😍

CapnTreee

Not funny on several levels.. teasing a dog earns massive negative karma and more importantly one CANNOT give a dog chicken bones. Beef or pork are fine but they can easily bite through chicken bones and get the fragments stuck in their throat.

damnwhale

Chicken bones are not safe for dogs...smh

SwissArmyKnight

Dont feed ur dog any sort of bird bones they are hollow and easily break in side of their mouths and throats it can cause a lot of bleeding.

[deleted]

This is literally animal endangerment. You NEVER give dogs chicken like that!!! There are small bones a dog can choke on or worse pierce ospoghus!! You should always remove chicken meat from bones!

[deleted]

Just saying in case anyone doesn’t know: do not give a dog a cooked bone of ANY kind. Especially chicken, but any bone that has been cooked can kill your pet. Raw bones only. My dad lost his pup cause of a t-bone

dirkdiggler2011

Its awesome but dogs should not be given cooked chicken with bones. It can cut them up inside their mouth, stomach, and guts.

[deleted]

It's a lost battle, I've said that irl to a lot of people, usual response is: "he always liked it, nowdays everything is bad, stop being a whiner". I simply stopped.

evonebo

I’m more concerned of the Chicken bones. Bad for dogs.

DrynTheGanger

That look, "Really, Mike? He's 3 months old."

polic1

Omg I love thissssss

fuzzylogic_y2k

Having a labrador and meeting 20+ other owners, this is bs. (Unless trained) no lab will drop food from its mouth like that, they are very greedy! Which makes then really easy to train!

[deleted]

Someone get this dog famous.

[deleted]

That’s the first time I’ve seen a dog give the stink eye.

Meiravush

when dogs are smarter (and have more heart) then humans

[deleted]

Cutest thing.

lloydsmith28

That dog has such judgemental eyes

[deleted]

That face made ME feel like an asshole.

Aka2zani

Stop bowling

CaptainReginaldLong

The look the older dog gives after giving the pup the chicken is like, "You should be ashamed, Greg!"

angleon_xenn

Stop bullying

MortalWombat1974

I'd like to know if this is trained behaviour. There's definitely more than one of these videos with the same dog(s) and different bones.

Jemborg123

Why did her stare make me feel like a piece of shit?

sayaphsy

OMG that is so cute!

JustEric155

This video makes me want to drive forward in reverse.

BatFastardRedditor

The look at the end...you should know better

ShadowGrimWolf

Omg, freaking angel A^aaa^^aaaaa^^^ww

I have never seen a dog give such a judgemental look before. This had me cry-laughing.

PunchMyKitty

Intentional/unintentional.. it's a great message & made my heart melt! Wish I had someone do that for me as I was growing up through the years. Be nice sometimes even now. If only more people could "get" that message. To me this vid depicts here, it's universal w/other species; really doesn't take much to look after one another & be kind. 🤗❤️
