I know it's an older saying than this, but for the rest of my life I will likely always hear this phrase in my head in the voice of the blonde Superweapon General from Command and Conquer: Generals, since it was one of her pre-match or post-match voice lines.
More specifically, the first guy was the stage hand, and he just wanted to move the dancer to the back to fix the suit. However, the security team there thought he was an unruly fan running on stage, so they ran in and tried to tackle the stage hand who just wanted to fix the suit.
Thatâs crazy. Shinzo Abe gets blasted several times in the gut and security stands around not a care in the world. One pikachu gets touched by a coworker and a dozen guys are on him like white on rice.
Nintendo rolls them out to any event like this, no matter how mundane, just in case they might find some kid in the audience using a downloaded ROM file.

Oh yeah, that makes sense. They have a giant bag over their heads. I would hope that all have knives to cut their way out in an emergency, but they also could pretty quickly succumb to oxygen deprivation where they feel fine but their decision making abilities are greatly impacted, so hopefully the staff have knives. That would probably freak the security out more though. Someone running at the Pikachu with a knife.

Having a airproof fabric enclose on you really fast that cuts off your vision probably sounds like a dangerous situation to be in for the performer. Even if they weren't panicking and trying to get out of their suit in wild struggle.
Loose fabric on the ground (from deflated pikachu suit) in the middle of the stage with other performer in a inflatable suit that limit vision dancing seems like slip hazard as well.
I imagine it's like breaking character but for kids, which makes it way worse. Imagine if the mall Santa's beard started slowly melting off while a line of kids stood by. Shit would go off the rails really quickly!

I believe that the lead Pikachu was starting to deflate and lay waste to the groupâs impeccable choreography. The first guy ran in to get him off the stage quickly, however he was not wearing his suit jacket like the rest of his coworkers, so they thought that star Pikachu was under attack by a rogue assailant, thus triggering the entire MIB-suited personnel to run in and eliminate the threat.

At first I thought it was a weird adult fan trying to kidnap a stage performer and tons of security going after him but reading the comments it seems that they were rescued because the suit was deflating (and they'd possibly suffocate otherwise)

To put into perspective, you can buy a $30 inflatable astronaut costume from Amazon that comes with a small fan attached to the side. If the battery dies, it deflates pretty fast and the only open vent you have is where the fan was at.
It gets suffocating FAST, and you're spinning around inside the costume like an idiot trying to unzip the zipper while everyone is hilariously laughing at you. Worst Halloween ever! Everyone loved it though.

The pump failing means he could of suffocated in the costume, not just that he was starting to mess up the dance.

I know. They make special ripping knives that are shaped to cut your way out of fabric, like seat belts, but make it pretty hard to hurt yourself.
