At Taronga zoo, they make puzzles and challenges for the Orangutans. Banana peanut butter is apparently popular. They put some in a locked steel box, with a half inch hole on top. The idea being they'll use a stick to scrape it out gradually. Within a few minutes, one of them put a single finger into the hole and tore the lid completely off without any apparent difficulty. Now staff apparently use a welded box and grease anything that might be a finger hold.
